  • It looks cool and strong building.

  • lyes,

    You are welcome but as replied to Roman, I got the information from the net :)

    Thank you. You take care too, have a nice weekend.
  • Hello Roman,

    It was because of the text upon the building as made me curious, I like to practice my German as I do not master that well.

    I used quotation signs ( “ ) to show, I was quoting text from somewhere, my apology I should have written the source ( Wikipedia ).

    I like old buildings from ancient times, so I also like the history about them, I thought it could just be interesting for others to know maybe as well.

    Thank you for asking - Have a beautiful weekend :)
  • evangelina,

    thanks for the information :) you know every thing about this building hhh

    take care

  • Hi Evangelina! How do you know this building so good?
  • lyes,

    :) A little bit information here;

    “The original opera house in Frankfurt is now the Alte Oper (Old Opera), a concert hall and former opera house in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was inaugurated in 1880 but destroyed by bombs in 1944. It was rebuilt, slowly, in the 1970s, opening again in 1981.

    The square in front of the building is known as Opernplatz (Opera Square). The Alte Oper is located in the inner city district, Innenstadt, within the banking district Bankenviertel.”

    “Dem Währen Schönen Guten” - “To the true, the beautiful, the good”

    It is a spectacularly beautiful building.
  • Omg, it looks very similar to our Opera hous in my city Lviv in Ukraine!
