Save Me!

This is a giant replica of a marine turtle known as "Pawikan" in my native language. I took this shot during a Giant (Higantes) Festival in my country. I also used this as a cover photo for my latest blog post on the club. You can check out the link below and have your say about the topic.http://my.englishclub.com/profiles/blogs/writing-challenge-the-world-s-biggest-problem-poaching-1Are you a nature lover? If you could save a wild animal from extinction in your country, what would it be and why?

  • The statue sorta gives me the hibbie jibbies! Anyway, all kidding aside, you are so right about saving the poor animals. Thumbs up!

  • @ Jp_Tp

It's nice to hear you're a nature lover. Who can resist its beauty and gift. Thank you for high-lighting that phrase below. Let us do simple things in favor for nature and its wildlife.

  • I love snake lol....but I don't like to feed them. let's  me thing about your question ....wild animal hhhhh...maybe, I will choose bear because hahaha....I look like a bear now :)

  • You're very much welcome, Ehab! I'm grateful that you always took the the time to comment whenever I post something on our club. Wishing you peace and wisdom! Keep safe. :)

  • hello Robbie
thank you for your important information
  • Hello, Teacher Galina!

Many, many thanks for your detailed reply! It's sickening to see a lot of animals that are being poached in many countries. On the other hand, polar bears in Arctic region are the ones that affected because of global warming. In the Philippines, there's also a campaign against illegal hunting as well as information drive to protect the marine species that are beginning to be extinct.

There's always an issue on how to protect the wild since some people behind this cause are either threatened or harassed by multi-national companies. :(

  • Thank you for featuring this photo!

  • Hi, Robbie!

It’s really a vital issue nowadays. In Russia there’re a lot o of endangered animals but the top list is the following:

The Amur Leopard is extremely rare and only lives in the remote and snowy forest of eastern Russian primary region.

The Snow Leopard is an animal of legends.

The Amur Tiger (or Siberian Tiger) is the biggest cat in the world.

The Russian Lynx is the third most endangered animal in Russia.

    Polar Bears

    Beluga Whales

The Siberian Crane is another animal facing extinction.

The White Orca is the only one of its kind. It is found off of the coast of Russia.

The question ‘What to do?’ is always the most difficult. We discuss it with my students at school and everybody agrees that we should do something to help. But nobody knows 'how to do it'
