PingXi is in the north side of the mountains of Taiwan, where is renowned for its sky lanterns. If you are a fan of railway culture, you should definitely pay a visit to here. • Ya..ya..ya...I will try it, but hhhhh...my hubby, he hates it. He told : very noisy. So whenever I go...we always use plan (long trip) or car. Poor me, right?

  • Mitran, really?  I believe you'd find it surprising if you had a chance to take by train. The view along the railway is different from the roads. It seems like you are watching a movie composed by many pieces of view clip. Try it next time! :)

  • I still not use the train. I mean : in my country has a train but I still not have a chance to use it.

  • Junco, yup, it's fun and crowded to ride. So many tourists, especially kids, like to take this kind of train and enjoy the attractive scene along the railway.

  • Ehab, indeed! They should be careful even though there is no train.

  • Teacher Galina, because it is located in the mountainous areas. The railway may be limited more or less by the terrain, that's why it would be built through streets and houses. There are only some stations, which are famous attractions, can allow to walk on the tracks, while others are forbidden strictly. Here is the one I took photo of the railway from the street. I think it is challenging walking there!

  • Pina, that's why I didn't take a risk walking there. I was scared. :P

When the trains are coming here, they won't go at speed, moreover, the trains are not as many as other lines so that tourists wouldn't worry about that much.

  • Be careful
  • Grace, it's really unusual that railway passes through streets and houses...so close to them! I'm really surprised that people are allowed to walk on the tracks! It's strictly forbidden to do it here in Russia, but some people break the rule. And I like the bright colour of the carriage. So optimistic!

  • The best can happen to you is to fell down, I prefer not to think if a train is coming...
