Memorial to the Victims of Communism

This place is situated down there close to Petřín hill and is dedicated to all the victims of communism (1948-1989). There were 248 people executed, 4500 died in the prison, 327 shot trying to escape etc. just because they didn't like this regime :-/

  • Pretty interesting ! this is splendidly a brilliant commemoration of those victims with a carving sandstone boulders. I do love the perspective of it and how they are positioned on each side, so when passers-by come up the stairs, they will get a reminder of the atrocities caused by communism. So, I think it is a great shot !
