It's because I only took pictures of the buildings located in the ancient part of Bukhara... :) The modern buildings look similar to ones in former Soviet countries which actually don't capture my attention... :)
Looking at your various photos, I noticed that most of the buildings reflect Islamic architecture. Is it common theme for the current modern buildings too?
