Another Typical Traditional Malay House

This is another typical traditional Malay house. It's not sit on the ground to prevent from being flooded. Typically, the higher the house from the ground, the safer it is from being flooded.

    Hi Tree, it is nice to know that somewhere out there that we have something in similar or in common even though we are far from each other.

    We have the same kind of this house in mountainous areas in Vietnam. I think they make it this way to prevent wild animals get in the houses.
