Every year, some typhoons passed by or struck the Korean peninsula. So my ancestors lived in low houses to reduce damage from the typhoons. Do you see Jeju traditional houses Look at the roofs! They were and covered with straw ropes to reduce typhoon damage because Jejudo was located in an area of many typhoons.
