Looks like something I wanna eat in this time of day. So bad that I've rolled down and seen all comments and pictures and those even increases my hunger much more... ;(
Ella Ella -_-
is that Lahmacun ?
Nah, it's not Lahmacun... it's Zatar pie "Mana Eysh"
please read below first comment of mine :)
Lol The Goat man... It is Lahmajoun.....
NotAClue, I expected you were talking about meat, because the word meat in Arabic means "Lahma", So it seems like this Turkish word has origins from Arabic..
However, I am familiar with this meat pie in my cuisine. We call it "Lahm bi Ajeen", and in addition, we have another two styles of meat pie in my cuisine, which I personally prefer them more than lahmacun... let me show you...
The first and the very traditional meat pie in my cuisine is called "Sfeeha", and here it is...
And The second meat Pie, we call it "sharhaat", and here it is :)
Thanks for your reply, Nota :P
Lahmacun is Turkish pizza... Click here...
It just remembered me of it. Well, I have all ingredients of this zatar mixture at home... just no kitchen to cook in. :-P I will try it one day. Thanks for your answer. I like the look of picture two and three. The color of number one is scary... dunno. But I would try it. ;)
NotAClue, I don't blame you when you don't find it appetizing, coz regardless to the fact that it's strange for your food culture, this one in the photo is really badly made. Generally in Saudi Arabia, and because it's not a part of their genuine food culture, they do it really dry and thin in a way that it does not only taste bad, but also look worse..
Generally, in Syria, we make it fluffy, thick, and more wet.. Here are some photos of how it should look like...
I hope you would have a chance to try it one day... and apart from that, can you please tell me what lahmacun is!!!
SNR, you are most welcome ^^
O. M., lol, the more you know :P, Thank you so much for your comment ^^
Estanis, Wow :D How to reply to your comment now, I am really always happy to read you comments. and I really like the way you extended my title.. you have really a brilliant mind, And I don't mind your fish memory, coz we are all in the same place :D
Rosemary :) :D, Exactly and very well spotted ;)
NotAClue, I will type my reply to you in the next comment, coz I have something to tell you ;)
I was thinking of lahmacun. To be honest that in your picture doesn't really look appealing to me. Although, I love lahmacun. :-P
