Being one of the Proditors of MyEC, now returned and repentant, I considered it to be my duty to post a reply to Mr.Bob's blog post "Where Have They Gone? We Still Love Them!" There should be millions of valid and justified reasons for Them to leave MyEC...not understood unless experienced. Based on my shrewd personal observations I hereby reveal the mystery of Gone.To perceive and comprehend all Their reasons for abandoning the family one should learn and discern the Types of "Proditors" of MyEC :

                                                              Bear-Proditor

To this group belong those who actually don't go anywhere, those who are always around...peeping in every now and then but they just prefer to seclude themselves from a stormy life of EC to take a long-awaited peaceful sleep. They always come back after a so-called hibernation.

Stop breaking your head trying to find the reasons for them not to be present at MyEC. It's so simple: they could have joined the monastery, or gone to the top of Everest to find the inner peace....technology is not that high nowadays to provide internet connection on the top of Everest to visit EC. There is nothing to worry about... you'll see them wandering, exploring and devouring EC world again...one can't resist his nature - bears get terribly hungry once awakened. Most of you must be wondering and thinking now..."why not try and help the bear-proditor to wake up?"- the prompt for such a thought is the desire to bring our friends back faster, sincere desire to help. Here is the answer :

Never try to wake up a peacefully sleeping bear

You can awake a fearful monster-just be aware.

So just wait...what can be better than a starving bear - a starving person for knowledge and communication?

                                              Bird-Proditor- A Bird of Passage

To this group belong those who can't stay at the same place for a long time. Those who continuously migrate. It's a very agile and adventurous type. Once bird-proditors decide that they fully exhausted MyEC environment, they start seeking for vital nutrition outside the habitat. There can be only one valid reason for them to leave MyEC : they must be wandering around the world, exploring new horizons, making their lifetime dream come true. There is nothing to worry about , bird-proditors are short-distance migrators. They always hover around EC, waiting for the right season to come back.

What happens if you try to prevent a bird-proditor from migrating? - the hunger for nourishment withers in no time.

Never try to cage a bird that loves to flutter

Of its wings you will be the deadly cutter.

So just wait... what can be better than a singing bird comming back home - a person starting a new season in his/her life, full of joy, new experience and knowledge to share with the family?

                                                      Chameleon-Proditor

To this group belong those who never leave MyEC but they are considered to be Gone. Simple delusion. Chameleon-Proditors change their appearance in EC by changing nicknames but they can never dare to leave this safe habitual place as they are scared of unknown. They tend to be very watchful conservative and moody. EC is a place for them where they can hide. So when somebody is trying to dig too deep into their life a natural protective instinct works. The moment you approach a chameleon-proditor too close he/she prefers to move away. They simply don't want to disclose themselves not to be hurt. Their "disappearance" depends on their mood. When excited and happy, chameleon-proditors have a great appetite for learning and communication. When sad, they prefer seclusion. So they socialize much to a certain point, then stay aloof for some time and come back under a different disguise, that is a different nickname. What if you try to help a chameleon-proditor to open up, to stop masking? - It will run away.

Never try a camouflaged chameleon to disclose

It will elude, hide and stay forever enclosed.

So just wait and look around...your new friend may be your old lost friend...what can be better than a chameleon with new bright colours - a person with new brilliant ideas?

They may be just playing hide and seek with you to check how well you know your friends.

                                                               Dog-Proditor

To this group belong those who never abandon MyEC willingly. The most devoted type (quite a paradox- a devoted proditor). Exiled by life. No matter which side their fate turns: black or white, they always find time to attend to their friends. No matter where they are, what they are doing they always try to find the way to drop by and say "hello". They may be absent for a month or two due to difficult circumstances in life but they will always try to keep in contact, they will always notify you before leaving. Loyal dog-proditors follow and watch their family everywhere.

                             Devastated, lonely, grievous, angry

To help you always they are ready.

There is nothing to worry about. They must have gone on a very important expedition... to some unknown secluded spot on the Earth, not corrupted by social networks yet...to set up MyEC community there.

Now when you are well acquainted with all the types of EC Proditors...can you tell me what is the one common feature all of them possess? - They ALWAYS come back to MyEC.

What can I say? Deuce is still alive so you have no choice except to read this blog or I will chase you to death by leaving constant comments on your page reminding to read it (that was supposed to be a kind of threat). So guys today I'm going to share with you the most cherished secrets...shhhhhh...just don't tell anybody...secrets how to be the best teacher of English in the whole world of all ages and all climes for ever and ever.Hey! Passionate and devoted English learner! I know you want to ask me a very good question right now in a very polite way: "Why on earth I should read this?I'm not a teacher" but don't haste to leave...a surprise is waiting for you.So be attentive as usual but don't skip sentences and don't even try to fool me by reading just the beginning and the ending and leaving a casual comment. Read every word or you will miss something very important. Don't forget that I'm keeping my sharp eagle eye on you!Okay, my tips! Don't even think: "Finally she stopped talking"... I know you are very inquisitive and impatient so here we go...Attention please! The greatest 7 secrets for teachers to become a good teacher and for students (yes, exactly, that's my surprise for you) to become a good student:1) Confidence..For teachers:You should be confident of your knowledge, show your students that you know the language perfectly. Even when somebody asked you to explain the meaning of "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis" (by the way, don't look for this word now, find it later, now just finish your reading) don't give way to panic, just make a very sophisticated expression and under the pretext that you want to teach students to search information themselves, just say :"Good idea! Thank you. It will be your homework". Now you can say "Phew!Evaded (at the same time relishing the look of your student's sour expression). For students:You should be confident during the lessons or lectures no matter what.Even when you are too busy at the lesson having a debate with your friend over a very important topic (your favourite animated cartoon) and the teacher warns you and reproaches you for bad discipline...No way! In the most convincing way tell her that you were listening very attentively and it's she who was talking.2) Endless energy. For teachers:Never show your students that you are tired even when you can't talk just give them a test and enjoy the silent rustle of your students cheating.

For students:Even if you spent the whole night at some club dancing, eyes are half closed you are so sleepy and there is a very important test waiting for you to be taken...cheer up!That's what you should do...

Relax, you will pass it later. Just make sure you have a good rest as your health is more important.3) Endless patience. For teachers:No comment, just a picture...

That's a very good way to calm yourself down! Well, yeah.Good luck! For students:You think you are fed up with those "senseless" continuous assignments? You think they will never end? Well...you are right. So mate, just pluck up your courage! Look at the teacher...she or he is already desperate thinking that by writing all those things she will calm down. Poor thing!4) Enthusiasm. For teachers:Be always enthusiastic of what you do. Assure your students that English is the most important thing in their lives.Never, under no circumstances show them the following...

For students:Have you read the above information? So, never believe a teacher!5) Articism. For teachers:You know, a teacher is like an actor, she or he should play constantly (hiding her real feelings, emotions, tiredness, anger and so on and so forth) but do you know what is the difference between the two professions? The actor is just playing but a teacher should play and teach at the same time. Hey, hey, don't assume too much and pack your things and go to Hollywood! Just read my blog. For students:Well...what can I say? If you are are a talented actor you will get through all the exams and quizes.6) Creativity. For teachers:Be creative...hmmm...errrrrr...oops...I ran out of ideas. That's the right example for you: you should never say this, you should say :"I'm always full of new ideas".For students:If your little head is full of creative ideas just relax and enjoy the process of learning. When you are asked to solve the mathematical equation and the teacher told you that you did it in a wrong way just tell her that it's a unique way of solving it and contrived solely by you.7) Good, very good health. For teachers:Dear teachers! Take care a good care of yourself and don't let your students stress your brain too much.Sorry if I'm late with my tips and you are already in a mental hospital. For students:You really should be very healthy. When sitting at the desk nervously fumbling the paper and answering some strange questions you have no idea of or learning and cramming all night long before the exam, make sure you take some medicine or you will end up in a hospital with a heart attack.Good luck my friends! Just love what you do and you will not need any tips for a great success! My 3 step marketing plan.1)I will share the link to my blog post with my friends by leaving a notice on their walls.2) I will make an advertisement of my blog and upload it to MyEC Picture Gallery.3) I will share the link on EnglishClub.com's Facebook page.

A Message to Mr I-Basely-Vanished

The weather is just nasty today...it sleets, the wind is sooo strong that when I was walking home I thought it would carry me far away (to some of my friends, may be : Karenina, Anele, Mr.Night, Nida, Mommy, Nadira and lots and lots... for a cup of tea ).Well...such weather just resembles my feelings and thoughts I have on my mind so I just decided it's time to reveal them and may be these words will reach out the right person. It's a message for the one who failed to understand the deepness of a true friendship and love. You know, when you lose a very important person in your life it's like somebody stabbed a sharp incisive knife into your heart and keeps twisting it all the time so the wound never heals and is gnawing you every day more and more and it seems that there is no end to this. So, lets see how it all begins...Life is wonderful...you are the happiest creature in the whole universe...you found your soulmate and you think that there is nothing more fascinating in this world. You wake up in the mornings full of energy and it seems to you that the air is filled with the fragrance of love and happiness and your soul is singing...there is nothing you can't do for him. A stupid smile doesn't come down from your face and people think you are crazy when you are walking on the streets barely touching the ground with your feet as you feel like you have wings and constantly smilng to yourself but can't help it no matter how hard you try...You are radiating joy and warmth. You are filled with life and it's like you can instill with life even the most solid stone...sooo much thrill, excitement and enthusiasm you have!Butterflies are flying in your stomach and every time ( not every time but all the time) you think about your beloved something is stirring inside and a lightning is penetrating your body. You are sure to be the happiest person in the world as you are in the seventh heaven of delight...Tears...Not just tears...Showers of tears...Seas of tears...Why? What happened?Where is that fragrance of love?Where is that stupid smile? Where is that spirit of life?Vanished...vanished together with the most loved person in your life and it's like the life has gone too, the sky covered with those hateful gloomy clouds, the air is stifling and you can't breathe any more, the energy has gone and you can't even raise your head, your eyes are radiating aggravating sadness now and it seems that you are merely a sluggish body without a soul. Nothing matters to you any more and...No...You are alive, you are still the same cheerful little creature filled with energy, happiness and love for life and those wonderful feelings and that beautiful experience you once had will always be in your memory.I always said these words and I will always say them no matter what :"I’ll be always there for you", because unlike somebody I DO mean what I say and keep my promises.

Water...a wonderful scenery...just a beautiful river...that's what you can think when looking at this picture and sometimes we fail to notice the most important thing... it's a huge source of life!Did you know? The river on this picture (Dnipro or Dnieper) performs a very important role not only for Ukraine but also for Russia and Belarus.

It provides many people with water and electricity, nothing to say about the joy you get when playing in it's serene waters and the relief you feel when just splashing it and see the drops gaily glister in the sun and when you just watch and hear the waves lap on the river banks. What a relaxation it gives to you! Water has a healing and damaging effect at the same time. It's a wonder that can't be perceived. Sometimes people take water for granted and don't think it's precious and as a result use it thoughtlessly and waste it. Of course, you always understand the true importance of water and treat it like something divine when in the middle of the day (the sun is baking the streets, the air is stiffling, the terrible heat is killing ) you suddenly feel the urge to have at least a drop of cold water and what a joy you feel when finally you get it (yeah, in this case you are ready to worship that bottle of an icy "rescuer"). And what scene you can spot when you finally get home and you are powewrful because you have a airconditioner? Well...everybody has his own answer...Can you imagine your day without water? I can but don't want to. Why? I experience it very often as the situation with water in Ukraine is similar to that dreadful situation in most countries. The running water stinks and you can't drink it (of course if you are fond of extreme and not scared of dangerous diseases you can relish this "tasty and clean" water ) and even after taking a shower you can smell that wonderful "fragrance" of chlorine on your body... but still when sometimes I wake up in the morning and gaily (almost dancing) going to the shower suddenly find out that there is no water...well...I'd better be quiet now or I will be banned for using slang (kidding)... it's just something extremely terrible for me. You need water for so many purposes, actually you need it for everything, by the way, you can live without water only for 5 days at most.Water is a unique treasure. Protect it!Don't do this...

My English Club! So many pleasant words can be said, so many pleasant emotions to be described…!!I was looking for websites for English learners for a long time when one day I visited MyEC (as a guest ) and thought “Why not sign up?” ( I do not remember the date because I didn’t pay much attention to this event in my life but I know for sure it was about 9 months ago ). So I signed up…unfortunately I failed to see the variety of opportunities this club could give to me to improve my English and didn’t visit it at all after signing up (okay may be I lied a little bit because I did visit it once or two times but remained idle). I didn’t find MyEC interesting then and only now I understand how blind I was and how much time I wasted ) .So I forgot my password and forgot about MyEC completely. I spent all my time in one chat room on another website. Here’s a picture to represent me when I signed up for the first time :

So that’s how I can describe my first encounter with MyEC….I just peeped in casually….staying aloof and being reluctant. The second attempt…Well, it was like a trial for my patience… (it was about 5 weeks ago ). It was funny… I decided to come back to My EC only because I wanted to help my friend. As I’ve told you I forgot my password and as I deleted my previous email address 6 months ago and got another one I couldn’t resume the access to my profile at MyEC. I decided to sign up again with a different nick but… not so easy, it was just the beginning of my punishment for “abandoning” MyEC before. I signed up …the message “Your profile is waiting for approval” became very familiar to me (and very irritating) because I tried to sign up like for 5 times…but in vain.I almost gave up the idea of coming back to this club but as I’m a very stubborn and persistent girl and as I was outraged then ( filling in the same information 5 times is not very enjoyable)… I just couldn’t leave MyEC so easily. As a result I stopped being lazy and strained my brains … “I should remember that unfortunate password”, thought I (unfortunate here is an euphemism for one slang word …I was very angry). Some vague memories started clearing up in my mind…yes…I saw it so clearly…that password! Here is a short history: I signed in, changed my email and password and became a valid member of this wonderful club ( it was almost 3 weeks ago). That’s how it all began…I mean my addiction to MyEC of course .Here is another picture to show you how I felt when joined this club once again and started participating in the life of this community:

Exactly…a beautiful whirlpool…I came nearer- and drowned, drowned in a wonderful world of knowledge and experience, learning and fun, friendship and love: love for English , love for learning and teaching, love for life. What was my goal of joining this club? To tell you the truth at first I was looking for fun , I just wanted to meet people from different countries and have a friendly chat. I didn’t believe that a membership in an English club could help me to improve (I’m hard-headed sometimes and I was strongly convinced that nobody could help me to improve unless I wanted it myself) only now I admit that I was badly mistaken. I was surprised because this time I found MyEC unusually interesting though I had a fight in the chat room the first day…you know it happens sometimes: a petty misunderstanding leads to a big argument but that’s how you learn – you live and experience. During these 2 weeks and 6 days I enjoyed every hour spent here at MyEC. I can proudly declare that I improved my English and found lots of friends who help me and buck me up all the time. It’s a great club to help you to develop, to develop like a personality, like a teacher and like a student. By the way, for the first time in my life I started writing short poems (owning to Mr. Night of course) and I should say it’s very exciting and relieving to pour out your thoughts and feelings with the help of your pen and I’m thankful to this club because I met so many nice and talented people here. I was surprised when I asked some members for help and they didn’t refuse, they wasted their time on me and did it with pleasure and I’m thankful to them. I can find all the information I need at this club and it’s very easy to learn and cultivate my knowledge with teachers and my friends encouraging me.Well, that’s how I feel now at MyEC:

Comfortable like at home because it became my family, a big friendly family. My English Club is a rich source for self-perfection self-development and self-knowledge just don’t fail to catch it!

These are pictures I’ve just taken (Ukraine, midday) … that’s what you can see looking through my living room window...

What do I see ….? Well…it depends on what I want to see at some definite moment and what I want to notice and what things I consider as unimportant and don’t see them at all. My view changes every second as the city is alive (though when you look at the pictures it seems that it’s still sleeping)…people walking, wind blowing, sky clearing up and then clouding over again, the taxi has just passed by and slowly disappeared , every moment is so transitory…everything changes in a twinkle of an eye, you just turn for a moment to your laptop again... and the view has changed already, the leaves has fallen down on the ground and smothered it and some of them are still slowly drifting by the gentle autumn wind and twirling in the air. Children are at school now and the playground is lonely waiting for them to come back and fill the street with merry children voices and their so innocent and cheerful looks and laugh. The wind will join them playfully twiddling with the trees ; the street will be alive and fussy again… Life is wonderful we just fail to notice it sometimes…

"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."My friend: JayHow we became friends: I could never have thought that I would meet my best friend in some chat room and that he would become an integral part of my life! Yes...we met in one chat room...and the way we met was the most stupid way to start up a friendship : we fought. It was such a passionate fight between two silly people which were arguing for no reasons. Like two kids trying to share a toy....I always smile when these memories flash in my mind. Then followed my "chasing" him... I'm a very inquisitive person indeed so I was curious to find out who was that "arrogant, impudent, self-confident" (as I thought then) man. As a result we became friends. We started sharing everything and spent 24 hours a day together. That's the photo of our first meeting...

Why we stayed friends: It's simple as that...perfect understanding. We are simply alike, with the same views, thoughts, likes and dislikes. I feel comfortable with my friend I can be myself and no need to pretend because he likes me as I am.My friend's best qualities: smart, witty, precise, funny, reliable, generous, prudent, caring. Why my friend is like a family: He is not like my family, he IS my family. He puts a smile on my face when I'm sad, comforts me when I feel uneasy, makes me laugh and enjoy every day of my life. I can't imagine my day without talking to him ( I lied because I can imagine that as I experienced it and it's definitely a dreadful torture) and sharing my thoughts.Friendship Highlight: Sitting on a bridge facing blue silent water currents .. with the whispering wind noises around the ears, sun is neither set nor up there... clouds getting dense and dropping, the legs to and fro ... silence takes over... what could be more naughty than throwing stones on the waters.. getting colder...the eyes invitation only could be pulled closer with the head down the shoulders...unfortunately it's just a dream as the distance separates us.The last time I saw my friend we... If chatting and talking on the phone for hours forgetting about everything else in this world can be called as the last time I saw my friend then that's it.My note:Dear Jay, thank you for being so patient with me when I'm intolerable (and I know how pampered and childish I can be sometimes) and for your great efforts to try somehow to bear that terrible headache my accent gives you ( I promise to improve). Thank you for being born to this world. That's our picture now...

A Simple Question...

What was the craziest thing you did in your life?Sometimes we are trying to be serious, mature and prudent but inside we are always little kids who want to do something without thinking about the consequences. So, my question is What was the craziest thing you did in your life? or...What is the craziest thing you want to do in your lifeFor example....yesterday I climbed up a tree near the police office and cried out " I killed a spider!!", well...try to imagine what happened after that.... :D

My Audio Challenge

Don't forget to listen to the recording after reading the poemStevenson, Robert LouisThe Unseen PlaymateWhen children are playing alone on the green,In comes the playmate that never was seen. When children are happy and lonely and good,The Friend of the Children comes out of the wood.Nobody heard him and nobody saw,His is a picture you never could draw,But he’s sure to be present, abroad or at home,When children are happy and playing alone. He lies in the laurels, he runs on the grass,He sings when you tinkle the musical glass;Whene’er you are happy and cannot tell why,The Friend of the Children is sure to be by!He loves to be little, he hates to be big,’Tis he that inhabits the caves that you dig;’Tis he when you play with your soldiers of tinThat sides with the Frenchman and never can win.’Tis he, when at night you go off to your bed,Bids you go to your sleep and not trouble your head; For wherever they’re lying, in cupboard or shelf,’Tis he will take care of your playthings himself! The Unseen Playmate.wav

I don't have many people from whom I learn now because I used to learn everything myself... but after joining this club I found so many nice people whom I think very intelligent and so impeccable, everybody is talented and can teach me something. In fact EC is a great community it's like a quicksand, you drown in this beautiful world of knowledge and experience , it's like a steep stream, you flow together with it, overwhelming with pleasant feelings and emotions...So, I'm sure my PLN will broaden soon. The most important person in my life now is Jayson Lars. He is my treasure in life. My best friend from UK, a very professional architect and just a nice, caring, generous person, very hard-working with his own steady views and philosophy in life, always ready to help and give a good advice, and I always listen to him, he is my friend and teacher at the same time, very smart experienced and matured, slightly strict but with a great sense of humour. Jayson is critical and very demanding and I respect him, he showed me what are the most important things in life, and his English is flawless I always can depend on him and he answers all my questions. He taught me how to achive the aims I set in my life, he is a great example for me indeed. And though Jayson says my accent gives him a headache (haha ) I love him very much and appreciate this man. We discovered each other.Janet Samson my best friend from Philippines (I'm glad she listened to my advice and joined this club, now she is a member of MyEC and I'm very happy), a great teacher and just a very wise woman, she taught me how to judge people, how to discern bad from good when it's disguised, very talented, sympathetic, kind-hearted and cheerful. We practise our English together and cry together when feel sad and laugh together when feel happy.http://my.englishclub.com/profile/JanetSamsonMr Night my new dear friend I met here, I'm very grateful to this kind man because he inspired me , his poetry group is amazing, I started writing short poems owing to him. I like his views and thoughts and I think him very gifted, I can learn a lot from him.http://my.englishclub.com/profile/Mr_NightRosenmaiden my new friend from Russia, a wonderful woman, I always admire such people because they once more prove to me that this world is full of surprises and life is full of pleasures and that people are not indifferent. I respect her and I bet I will learn a lot from her.http://my.englishclub.com/profile/Rosenmaiden
