Onee_chan writing challenge

  Moderator Onee Chan is my friend. She was rewarded that position by her hard work. We all respect and love her. We all commented on her picture with her friend. Her cute and lovely slimness was noted by one of the members of the club. Many of her blogs and pictures were featured by her colleagues. My Indonesian language is very poor. I hope she helps me regarding that matter. Her page was visited many times by different members. I visit her page to read or see the several pictures there. We could not forget her roles in writing many useful topics to the club. Many members were dazzled by her easy-going way. Keep that spirit up and wishing you all the success in this life and the next one.

Danny Clark's     write a short story

The idea of this short story came from the dreams of Mr. Danny Clark. I had a terrible dream after writing that horror story, the abandoned house. I have some ability to predict the future according to certain incidents. It is not clairvoyance but depending on the current situations. I woke up suddenly after that nightmare and I decided to write real stories.

The abandoned house   (the end)

Ten years back, the scene was different. Gene's father was a pilot. He inherited a big fortune from his mother who used to own some lands in the country. He sold those lands and started his own project of the air taxi. His project started with one-engine planes to planes with two engines.

Bob, Sara's father used to work with him as an executive manager. Every single money was under his eyes. He told his wife to get rid of Rod. His wife objected. Their daughter, Sara, Mariah, and Gene, they were students in the same class. Sara and Mariah were like sisters and Gene used to love Mariah.

Then Bob convinced his wife by giving him some poison to delay him for some time in the hospital instead. His wife agreed after many words of persuasions from Bob. They agreed to put the poison in his coffee during one of Sara's birthdays. They invited Rod and his wife, their son, Gene, and of course, Mariah. Everything went as they had planned for it except for one thing.

Rod stayed in a hospital for six months and he lost his memory.  His wife moved him to another hospital. Unfortunately, his wife died in a car accident and Rod was discharged before finishing his treatment.  He was very weak and he did not know where to go. A farmer who needed people to work for him offered him a job. Rod agreed. He worked as a driver for six years and then something happened.

He came late that day and the owner was very angry. He punched him on his face. Rod fell on the hood of the car. When he came to his senses, he began to remember what was happening around him. His memory came back and instead of fighting his employer, he kissed him and thanked him too. He decided to take his revenge from Bob and his wife. He went to the police and told them the whole story.

The arrangement for the weekend holiday, their flat tire, and their coming to this abandoned house was his entire plot.

The abandoned house (part two)

Rick slowly took the stairs one by one. At the ninth or the tenth step he stopped. The door was shut by itself. Rick's heart began to pound quickly and he looked down at the others. Eva told him to retreat and come back. He was sweating from fear, but he refused and continued cautiously. When he reached the door he started to open it and hesitated to hold the knob of the door.

Finally, he grabbed it quickly and tried to open it. It was impossible to do that. He pushed it and tried again and again but without any success. Eva took the stairs two at a time and reached Rick.

"Let's move out of this place, Rick. I am scared." She whispered to him.

"Honey,we have got to find that man, besides, it's dark now." He answered her.

Helplessly, they tried to push open the door, but no use. The rest of the students came to them. James and Gene began to push. The door was broken and they entered inside.

"What do you want?" the voice of that mysterious man came from nowhere.

"We are just wondering if we could spend the night upstairs." Rick replied. To the their surprise, the man giggled at first, and then laughed loudly.

They heard his voice and his laughter, but they could not see him.

"Where are you and who are you? Can you show yourself up?" Gene asked.

"I am your father." Replied the voice.

"What" Gene exclaimed.

"Hahaha, I am your father"

"My father died ten years ago, I was six." Gene said firmly. The fear began to fade away from him.

Mariah began, "Is this a joke? We all knew that Gene's father was dead long time ago… err."

"No, Mariah, it's not a joke". The voice replied.

"How do you know my name?" Asked Mariah.

"I know all of you."

Sara was bleeding heavily. It was obvious that she did not bring any necessary diapers. They left everything in the car. She said to the voice, "Do you know me?"

"Shut up, you silly little bi.…." The voice answered, "It was your father and your mother who were behind it. They put the poison in my coffee that night and I fainted for some time. Most of the people thought I was dead, but I wasn’t."

James said, "This is just a bull chit, I don't believe this guy."

"You are with that silly little girl, she will pay with her father and mother too." The voice said.

Sara said fearfully, "What are you going to do to us?"

"It's not me silly one, the police will do the job for me. Do you think I am going to dirty my hands with your filthy blood? Gene, come here and you too, Mariah. The police is coming soon."

Then Sara began sobbing like a child, "I have nothing to do with that. If my father was guilty, why should I take the punishment too?"

"No, you won't, but both of them will have to get ready for their punishment."

The abandoned house

The students wanted to spend the weekend in a different way this time. Maria suggested the beach, but her boyfriend objected to that. They went to the beach last weekend. Gene suggested climbing the mountains, but Sara disapproved. Gene knew that Sara is having her period and she could not climb or even look at the top of the mountain, leave alone getting to the top of it. Suddenly, Eva shouted, "Hey guys! Look here, how about going to the countryside?" Rick, her boyfriend, shook his head. It was obvious that he did not like the idea, but Mariah cut his thoughts by saying, "Well, it's a good idea, let's take it for a change, whadya  say Gene?"

"It's ok with me," said Gene, her boyfriend. James exchanged glances with Sara and she nodded. At least it was better than climbing a mountain. They all set up and took Gene's father land rover. They went north. It was a long high way. They were eating, drinking, and listening to the car stereo. They were very happy.  Gene was driving and at the same time, he was kissing Mariah. Suddenly, the car diverted from the main road and they got a flat tire.

"Now what?" Sara shouted.

Then Rick and Eva said, "We leave, the car here and walk"

"But the car,   err, my father might" began Gene.

"Nothing will happen to it, just let's push it a little bit further into the woods." Said Mariah softly to him. They pushed it with difficulty and Sara grunted, "I can't do it, you guys go ahead".

James said, "it's ok. honey, we will do it, relax."

They started walking, and walking through the woods is very difficult. They walked for about half an hour and then the sun began to get down. Soon, it would be dark.

Sara sat on the ground and said, "I can't take it anymore, you guys leave me here and go for help."

Then Rick told her to continue before the dark. Unwillingly, she raised herself up with her boyfriend's assistance. Dark began to send its threads. After ten minutes walking, they saw a house. They were very happy. At least, they would spend the night in a big shelter. When they reached the house, there were no residents or at least it seemed. The windows were shut and there was no light.

Eva called, "Hello… hello, anybody home?" There was no answer and Rick told her to push the door. To their surprise, the door was opened and a man appeared at the doorstep, "Who are you? What do you want?" he asked.

Eva began, "We had a flat tire, and we could not find anyone to help us, so we walked here err…"

The man interrupted her, "Ok, come in." The students came in and they were surprised because the man appeared suddenly and he was not hospitable and rude in his behavior. Eva and Rick were the first couples to enter the house and then followed by Gene and Mariah. Sara was hesitant to enter and James prompted her to get inside the house.

The strange man stood in front of them and said, "I will go upstairs to sleep, you can spend the night here." He pointed to two old sofas and one broken chair and left immediately. There was no light and Rick took out his mobile phone and tried to switch it for light. Unfortunately, it was dead. The others tried to do the same with their mobiles, but they were not charged.   

"We can't see anything; shall we talk to this mysterious guy?" Rick enquired.

His girlfriend answered him, "Honey, if he had had any help, he would have shown it, just let's be close and sleep on that filthy rug down there." Mariah began to worry and Gene was frightened because he heard or rather all the five students heard the sound of an opening door, but they saw nothing. The horror started.

The silence of the night goes on

He teaches me to love words

And urges me with them

A hell of love was given

Today is the ninth of Muharam and tomorrow is the tenth that commemorates many incidents. God saved his Prophet Moses from the tyrant pharaoh and his army on this day.

Then the Jews fasted on this day as thanks to God. When our prophet Mohammad, (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Medinah, he found this fasting and he asked why? The Jews told him that they did this to thank The Almighty for saving their Prophet, Moses from that tyrant, Pharaoh.

The Prophet then said, "I am closer to my brother Moses than you" then he fasted on this day and it became Sunnah. From Quran Karim, Allah created twelve months, from them are four (hurum) forbidden. Three of them come consecutively, Thulgaaidah, Thulhijjah and Muharam. The fourth one, which is Rajab. The month of Rajab comes before Ramadan and after the month of Jumad Thani.

 Fasting on this day forgives the sins of the previous year. A great opportunity to grab and wipe our sins of that previous year.

On this date, the son of Caliph Ali, Alhussein, (may Allah have peace with him) was sacrificed. Some people fasted on this day sadly. Others fasted on it happily.

The fingers are the extremities of the hand.  They are the four or five jointed parts of the hand. Each finger has three phalanges. Although they are slender they can do, different tasks. Let us start with the small finger, pinky. It has no specific task but to help the other fingers while eating or grasping something. Then, the finger ring or ring finger. It is next to the small finger. In some cultures, a ring is worn on that finger for wedding or marriage. Next to it is the middle finger. Like the pinkie finger, we use it to help the other fingers while eating or holding something. It is the longest one.

The thumb is the thick short digit of the hand. It has only two phalanges unlike the other four digits, which contain twelve phalanges, three for each. We use the thumb for that famous 'sign up' sign when we raise it up to mean everything is just right or perfect. When it is down, it means something bad or undesired.    

The index finger, the first finger, or the forefinger is between the middle finger and the thumb. This one is popular of them all. It has many names owing to the various tasks it carries out. It is a pointer finger. At school, college or conferences, we use it to take permission, ask a question, or say something. One of its names is the trigger finger. Sometimes it is used for warning, cursing, commanding or threatening. Some people use it or the middle finger obscenely.

The index finger means one. We use it in Islam for the unity of God and praising or sanctifying Him. Even during our five times prayers, whenever we hear the name of Allah; we raise it to show His unity or Glorification.

Those fingers, together or separate can do marvelous things. Look at the fingers of Stevie Wonder hitting that piano, or Carlos Santana playing the Guitar, or Kenny G. playing the saxophone.  The late Jimmy Hendrix and many others doing fantastic arts and music.   

Today is the big Eid or Eid Aladha. It is the tenth of Thulhijjah. The pilgrim will start by throwing seven stones at the place of the devil, (Jamratul Aqaba). It is a big concrete plate with a pillar in the center of it. The pilgrim can make his (hady) if he is (mutamatii). Then, he cuts or shortens his hair, preferably, cutting is better. The woman may shorten about two centimeters from her hair.

 The pilgrim can cut his fingernails and wear his ordinary clothes. He can do what was forbidden at Hajj but not approaching his wife. By the way, those rituals are performed according to the affordability of the pilgrim. I mean not necessarily according to that order.

Going to Mecca for (Ifadah Tawaf). After that, the pilgrim can hunt and he can sleep with his wife. It is important to come back to Mena to sleep on the eleventh, the twelfth, and the thirteenth of Thulhijjah. Some pilgrims are hasty. They can sleep two days (11^th, 12^th). There is no harm or sin about it.

There are some rituals carried out during the days of sunrise in Mena. The second day of Eid and the first day of the sunrise (Ayam attashreeg). Throwing of the three Jamarat in the afternoon, the Hajji or the pilgrim starts with the small Jamarah throwing seven stones saying, (Allahu akbar) each time he throws and then he or she finds a place to make duaa, supplication to Allah.

Then the middle Jamara and the same deed is repeated there. The last one was the big Jamara and the pilgrim performs the same act there.

On the twelfth day, the pilgrim does the same performance of the eleventh day. If he/she is in a hurry, he/she can leave Mena before sunset to Mecca to perform (Wadaa Tawaf) or goodbye Tawaf. This is the last performance for the pilgrim to do and then the pilgrim can go back to his place.

More than two million pilgrims have arrived here in the holy city of Mecca. Today is the ninth of Thulhija, the great day of Hajj. It is called (Arafa) day.

What is the meaning of Hajj? Hajj means intending to visit something glorified or of high greatness. This is in the general meaning of the language. In Islam, it means going to the holy city of Mecca and visiting (kaaba) the grand mosque. The intention is very important before starting the rituals of Hajj. When you come to wear (Ihram) you should intend and it's better if you specify whether you are (mufrid), (mutamatii), or (garin). All able bodied Muslims are required to perform the pilgrimage once in a lifetime. (see my blog Hajj 2016)

People now are gathering on Mount Arafa, praying and supplicating to Allah. Crowds of people are standing there on the mount of Arafa to remind them of the day of resurrection. It means a reminder for the Day of Judgment. At this moment, there is no pride or arrogance. Pilgrims are wearing the same dress (ihram). Before sunset, the pilgrims will leave to the plain (Muzdalifa), and by the will of Allah, all the sins shall be wiped out.

Arafa day is a great day. For us here at home, we fast. Because fasting forgives the minor sins of this year and the coming one. Pilgrims will reach (Muzdalifa) and pray the two prayers of dusk and Ishaa combined. As we mentioned before, they collect the stones and at dawn, they worship Allah at (Almashaar Alharam), a mount in (Muzdalifa) and then they proceed to the plain of Mena. Going to Mena will be tomorrow on the tenth of Thulhijjah, the day of Eid Al-Adha. People will undertake plenty of rituals here. like throwing the stones at the big Satan area, (jamratul Agaba), slaughtering their sacrifices, and going to Mecca to perform (Ifadah Tawaf). 

 We are still on the holy ten days of the month of Hajj. This is the last blog to finish my previous two blogs about them. Tomorrow Hajj will start. More than one million pilgrims have already started to arrive here, in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

On the eighth of the month, pilgrims will put on their  (Ihram ) at the pointed areas of Ihram. Then they will gather in Mecca to make Tawaf Algudum. After that, they go to Mena for the irrigation day. They will spend the night there and leave the next day at dawn to Arafa, (an area not far from Mecca). They will spend the Arafa day combining prayers of Noon and the afternoon prayers in advance, and before sunset, they will proceed to (Muzdalifa) to combine prayers of ( Magrib) and (Ishaa) and sleep there.  Then they collect the stones for the big Jamarah (the place where Satan tried to seduce prophet Ibrahim).

Before leaving Muzdalifa, they worship Allah at dawn there and then continue their journey to Mena. Pilgrims will reach the area of Mena and throw the stones, go to Mecca to make (Ifadah Tawaf), and come back to Mena to spend the days of (Tashreeg) sunrise.  Then they cut or shorten their hair. Others make their hady and others make their sacrifices or ransoms. By the way, there is a difference between (Hady, sacrifice and ransom).

Here, we are talking about preference and the advantages of the times of the year. For instance, Ramadan is the master of the months. It has one night that equals more than eighty-three years of worshipping. Imagine the age of the person is between fifty and sixty. If he lives that time to worship Allah. The night of destiny equals one thousand months of worship.  

The benefits of the days and the months are continuing through the year but the holy ten days of the months of Thulhijjah are the best. Any work is preferable than any other time of the year. At once the question arises, why? Why is any work better on these days than any other time of the year?

Scientists said that all the worships are done on them. Praying, fasting, (zakat), (Tawaf) surrounding (AlKaaba) seven times,  sacrificing, and many other good deeds for the sake of Allah. Some people fast nine days of them. Of course, the ninth day will be the day of Hajj. Its fasting will wipe out the sins of the previous year and the next one, according to Prophet Mohammed, (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

10 days of Thulhijja

Today is the first day of the lunar month, Thulhijjah. It corresponds to the twenty-third of August, 2017.  It has ten holy days. They are called the ten days of Thulhijjah. ((By dawn, and the ten nights)) Quraan Karim, Surat Alfajr, verse one and two. These ten nights are the first ten days of the month of Thulhijjah.

Hajj will start on the eighth day of it. It's called the day of irrigation. In the past, this area of Mecca was just a valley with no plantation. pilgrims used to supply water for themselves and their animals, camels, donkeys or cows. Nowadays, the water is in everywhere. They just come to Mecca and stay the night in Mena. The next day, they will proceed for Arafa, the great day of Hajj which is the ninth of Thulhijjah.

We are talking about these holy ten days of Thulhijjah. They are considered the best days. Any work on them is preferable than any other day of the year. That means they are better than the nights of the month of Ramadan.

As the members expected, she became very nervous and ready to make a fight for the smallest trifles. She stole money from her husband's wallet to buy her dope. Once he woke up and could not find her beside him. This time, his wallet was not there at all. What should he do? He wanted to go to work and all his cards were there. His identity card, ATM card and some important documents there. He could not drive his car. There was no gas. He could not even take a taxi. To wait for her until she comes back, was the only good idea at that time. He waited the whole morning, and at eleven at night, she came in.

There were some black spots on her face under her eyes and around the cheeks. There were some wrinkles on her forehead. The paleness was seen obviously. She went in and entered the bathroom. When he followed her she closed the bathroom door behind her. He opened it. She was caught smoking dope.  A few minutes later, she began to vomit and she was in a bad shape. He told her to give him his wallet, but she began to utter bad and vulgar words to him. She told him that she only took the money from it and she did not have any idea where was that damn wallet. At once he went back to find his wallet under the bed.

Thanks to God, all his important papers were there, but no money. He told her to go to a quiet place or see a doctor and get steady again. As usual, she threw bad words at him. He was convinced that this lady would not be straight again. This was not the woman to be his other half. They all got along marvelously at first, but to continue with this lady, is something unanswerable.  Divorce was the only way out, and so, it was.

there was a mistake, threw instead of through. Thanks to my friend, Narin.

They met at a supermarket. He came to buy some milk and bread. She wanted to spend the time shopping. He was smitten with her from the first moment he laid eyes on her. They got married after one month from their encounter at that supermarket. The first week of their honeymoon was a nightmare. She took off that mask and showed him the other side of her lovely face.  Her face was very beautiful but her behavior was bad and below the zero. He tried his best to satisfy her, but he could not. He tried to tell her that they were in their first days of their honeymoon, but she was putting in her mind to be stubborn and hard to get. Her idea was that, as long as he loved her that much, he would do his best to obey her commands. Obviously, she did not have the same feeling towards him.  However, why did she accept to marry him?

She thought that he would be like a ring on her finger. Go right, he will go right. If she tells him to go left, he will also do the same. As the matter of fact, he carried out all of her orders and demands. Sometimes, she wanted him to go to the right and to the left at the same time, which was, of course, impossible to do. It seemed that she was bothered by a personal problem. She had a drug problem.  She was addicted to heroin and she severely smokes cigarettes. He could not notice that at the beginning, but later, he began to notice some nervousness that came to the surface from time to time.   

 Finally, they reached a dead end. Their marriage would have worked if she had fulfilled half of her reciprocal obligations. Once, and at three thirty in the morning, she told him to bring her a pizza. He gave a nervous glance at the clock.

The idea is not new. It's about making the member of the year as on the American magazine, Time. Every year, the moderators with the other members of the administration choose the member for the new year. Talents play a great role in making the person unique. Hard working with these special abilities can allow someone to perform well. He or she can be given a reward. We do not mind sharing in that reward. For instance, each member pays a dollar once he or she joins the website. For old members, they can pay too. Whether it's obligatory or optional, one dollar is not a big deal. It can be paid. The reward could be a small amount of money, let's say, three thousand dollars. The amount of the reward can be more than that I have mentioned, along with the logo of the site and a letter of greetings and honor from the administration or the founder. 

I cannot tell how this member could be chosen. This is the matter for the members' suggestions and the approval of the administration. I do not know whether this is going to make a controversial hurricane or not. It's just a suggestion and the members with the website authorities can negotiate and finally reach some agreement. Some members may not afford to pay, but one dollar is not that much. I just wanted to say, it cannot be a stone on the way. I hope that the results are going to be positive and our website will be active during the whole year. As for the way how this person is chosen or elected, this is another technical matter for the specialists to see. The matter needs some time to be studied and who knows? The consequences can be fruitful.

The nightlight created many shadows on the walls and it gives you the feeling of uneasiness.  She saw the man's shadow coming around the corner before she saw him. Leila was beginning to move towards the supermarket which was working round the clock.  it was the only place open at that time. It was her friend's birthday party and she had gone and stayed there hoping for her brother to pick her up at one. It was the nineteenth birthday, typically they used to make cakes and drinks and stayed there until the next day. Some of them go to work, others go to their schools and most of her friends spend the rest of the day sleeping. At two o'clock in the morning, she told herself to walk home.

The distance between her house and her friend's house is about fifteen minutes' walk. Darkness fell over the place. The street lights were dim and the rain that fell the day before, lessened their light and the vision became difficult. Fear struck her and she started to quicken her steps. She walked with a spring in her step. There were footsteps behind her and she knew that she was being followed. She could not dare to look back. Her pursuer coughed and she realized something. A cough is familiar to her but she could not dare to look back and see who it was.  

Leila was not used to such parties and staying late at night. She used to go to bed at ten or eleven at night. Her big fear is night. Her mother kept telling her to study her lessons, eat her dinner and then watch TV for half an hour and then go to bed. It was heard that children who stay awake at night, they will encounter ghosts and unearthly creatures. That was a long time ago, but the idea of fear grew with her. She is now eighteen, but still afraid of the dark. She used to have nightmares and hear sounds in the night. She would scream and her parents would come to her help. They used to wake her up and tell her to steady herself. It was only a dream, a bad dream, that what they used to assure her. Her childhood was a horror story.

 Her pursuer coughed again and again. She could not take it any longer. She began to scream and ran to reach the supermarket. To her surprise, the main door of the supermarket was closed but there was an open window by the side of the door. A face popped from it and told her what did she want? Her scream became louder and she told the man inside that there was someone who was following her. She pleaded for him to open the door to let her inside. The man refused, saying that it was forbidden to open after two o'clock in the morning. Leila became hysterical and her shouts woke many neighbors. She told him to open the door or that man would come soon and hurt her. The man pulled the shutter and closed the window and went inside. An intense feeling of fear struck her. Her pursuer was coming nearer and nearer. The immense uncontrollable fear began to increase and she turned once more to the window and began to hit and shout. The man came from behind and held her hands and told her to stop.

She turned to find her brother smiling and telling her that he had caught a cold. The car had been broken. He could not make it at one. She hugged her brother and began to cry.

what is happening to me? I am referring to my recent discussion about the traits of the good wife. The members gave their different views about the good wife. Most of them preferred the kind hearted woman.  There was a sort of a general agreement or a consensus about their opinions.  What is the secret that lies behind the beautiful eyes? Some people collapse when they appear suddenly in front of them. Others just keep looking at them or are just mesmerized. I agree with the saying, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. Of course, different people have different perspectives or thoughts about beauty. Some women are so beautiful, you could not take your eyes off them. This is what is eating me. I have experienced many situations like that. I just keep asking myself, whether I want my wife to have all those qualities all together!

 The woman who knows how to take care of her husband.  Whenever he looks at her she brings pleasure and delight to him. When he orders her she obeys. She does not quarrel or make a fuss about everything. She can give her opinion. If he swears, she will fulfill that oath at once. Later on, she might have her own reasons and she would try to explain and convince him that his opinion was not right owing to this and that. If he goes away, she will always look after his house, his belongings and of course, herself.

I wonder what will happen if the woman has all those traits plus the outer appearance. I mean the face and what it contains. The hair, the lips, the nose and above all the eyes. God ordered us to lower the gaze. We have the first look but not the second. Frankly, I do not know what is the secret that lies behind the eyes? Or why do I like them so much?  Some women look at you and their wishes or commands shall be answered immediately.  All she has to do is to look at you. They say that 'eyes talk'. A great deal of meaning is conveyed by a  single look from their eyes.

       The distance between Christmas and the New Year is about six days. In our country, our weekend is on Friday and Saturday. If Christmas is on Thursday, then we will work for three days.  Again, on the first of January, it is also a holiday for us. It is the New Year's Day and it corresponds to our independence day. Shall we talk about twenty sixteen? It was, or rather has been a year of many conflicts and wars all over the world, as many members mentioned lately. It was a year of ups and downs. Maybe, its downs are more than its ups. Many of us gained a lot of good deeds, morals, reputation and money in twenty sixteen.

       On the other hand, many lost a lot of morals, money, their own belongings such as gold, house and even the child and the wife.  It seems that crying over spilled milk won't do any good. We also have a saying here, (what happened, it was past. What is hoped for is unknown, but you have got this hour, now). This hour, we mean the New Year twenty seventeen. On my previous discussion, expectations 2017, I tried to see the polls or rather to know the different opinions of the other readers about their views and foreseeing of twenty seventeen.

        Honestly, the expectations were low. I wanted to make widespread expectations about peace and tranquility will prevail all over our world. Nevertheless, and as long as we are alive and kicking, we usually expect the best for our new year, twenty seventeen, shall we? I wish you all my dear members of the club prosperous and good days in twenty seventeen.
