    Hi! Nice to meet you. I am Ukrainian, you are right. Do you mean Nikolay Gogol, a writer of the 19th century? If so, that yes, he was originally from Ukraine. He lived and wrote in Russia but he had always considered Ukraine to be his home. I wonder you know him because many young people here have no idea about classic literature although they study it at school.
