Do you know the feeling?

Do you know the feeling of being worried for your loved ones then you can't do anything?

We are aware about the coming of typhoon haiyan to our country. The government and the local authorities had done their job so everybody would be safe of this super typhoon Yolanda , local name of Haiyan. I called my parents last night reminding them to evacuate and go to a safe place but my father refused. He is confident that they are safe in our house since it is not made by light materials. But this morning when I called again. I talked to my nephew, he was panicked and he told me that the wind is so strong and the last words he said is our house had collapsed and he was hit by a hard material on his head. And he kept on telling me that they were trap. Then the lines cut. I can't contact them anymore. I was panicked. I opened the net to find someone to talk to. But I find no one. I saw some updates in one of the facebook friends but even he doesn't know what is happening in our place. Until now I cant contact them. Our place is totally blackout. All lines were shutdown. I am still waiting somebody who could give me some updates or it will be good if I talk to them so that I would feel ok. I am so worried of the video I watched online. I just wish and Pray all them is good. No matter what happened to our house the most important is they are safe. This is now the result of the typhoon.

Mothers

When I edit my blog a while ago I saw this unfinished blog of mine which was written when my friend noor was still active in EC. I know everybody has moved on already and accepted the fact that she would no longer come back. But my dear friend let me post this unfinished work of mine .

This blog is inspired from my Friend Noorany's blog Heaven's is on mother's feet. The main goal of this blog is to show the different kinds of mother. As we all know our mother is one of the important person in our lives. They are the most influential person on earth. We owe our lives to them. There are many sayings attached to mothers few are, "Mothers Knows Best" " Heaven's is on Mother's feet"

But mothers are humans too. They are not perfect. In psychology, there are different types of mothers.

Writing Challenge: write 2 connect

Why I write?

There are number of reasons why I write. First, I want to learn English. It's one way to practice myself in the language. Second, I wanted to make friends with other people throughout the globe. Since English is the Universal Language, I need to write and practice it to make friends with them. It's sad to say English is my weakest subject. I don't like this during my elementary and highschool. I don't remember any English topic from my elementary grades maybe because I don't understand it. When I reached secondary level, I felt boring during English class.Until I reached college, I find the subject very challenging to me. I have subject English expository writing, wow! I felt like I was in a box that I can't moved and nearly suffocated. I can't expressed my thoughts in words. I got sweat when my professor ask me to write something. I have so many ideas in my mother tongue but I don't know how to write them in English. But I'm still blessed I passed the subject. Until I got my work, I envy my co-workers who are good in English language. I felt people who are great in English are powerful. Like superman they can roam around the Earth. Third reason, is for my pupils. In order for me to teach them properly I should know the subject. I can't teach what I don't have. It feels great when you know you are successful in teaching your pupils. And fourth, is for myself. My day to day dealings with other people has improved. It makes me confident in conversing others.

Writing Challenge: I Have A Dream

Dear EC friends, this is my first time to join a writing challenge here. And believe me, it took me 2 days to write my blog.

When I was a child my dream is to become a teacher. My teachers in my elementary grades influence me a lot. I see teachers way back then as perfect person. But when I grow up, ambition of becoming a teacher was replaced to become a nurse. I like to see their uniforms, all white from head to toe. That's my only reason behind choosing a nurse as my profession. It is funny but I'm a late bloomer then. When i am realizing it now it made me smile. But because nursing course is quite expensive, my parents cannot afford to send me in a nursing school. I'm back to become a teacher. At first, I did not like this course very much. But I had no choice or else I would stop schooling.

Now I am a teacher in primary grades .Little by little, I am able to embrace my profession with all my heart. I choose to be a teacher in primary grades because for me they are easy to deal with, in terms of discipline, than the older students. I find happiness and fulfillment in teaching. Though there are ups and downs in this profession. But at the end of the day it is wonderful to see my pupils are learning.

In the future, this is my dream. After retirement, maybe, I could relax and travel to other places. To live near the sea, sitting on my rocking chair while reading books and listening to my favorite music. Watching my grandchildren play..What a nice scenes? I could feel the contentment and satisfaction in life.

"Dream and give yourself permission to envision a You that you choose to be."

The Fisherman and the Lawyer..

I would like to share this story to you. I use this story in my English class in Grade two pupils and they like it very much..Bear my writing because i'm not a writer and i just write it on how i remember the story..

                                 The Fisherman and The Lawyer

One day, there was a lawyer , who wanted to go to city but the only way to go to there was to crossed the river. He called the boatman to take him to the other side of the river but the boatman wasn't there. A nice fisherman volunteered himself.

While in the boat the lawyer ask the fisherman. " Fisherman, do you know Mathematics?" The lawyer asked arrogantly. "I just know simple mathematics, sir" the fisherman replied." oh sorry to you , you missed 1/4 of your life." "Do you know how to read and write?" he continue asking the fisherman. "No sir, my parents are poor I have to work at the very early age to help them feed my siblings, so i was not able to come to school". the fisherman answer. " Oh so sad, with that you already missed 1/2 of your life".

The fisherman and the lawyer had already reached at the most deepest part of the river. The current of the water is increasing "Sir, do you know how to swim?" the fisherman asks."No, i don't know how to swim." the lawyer replied with surprise. " Then you will missed 1 whole of your life."

A Teacher

Teaching is the noblest profession, as they say. Well i guess it is true. Because this require dedication of work and love of children you are going to teach. If the teacher doesn't love his work ,it will be hard for her to adjust the kind of work he has. It will be hard for her to be with the children, checking their assignments, portfolio and many others.

Teaching is one of the most difficult job. Just for the preparation of the lesson plans daily and learning materials require time and effort.

A good teacher never goes to school unprepared. She should face her pupils ready for her lessons. So think of the 10 lessons a teacher will prepare daily...
