Learning From Others

Is it better for people to learn from others than to learn on their own?

In my opinion learning from others have many advantages over learning for yourself. People should learn to use the experience of others and trust it; nowadays there are too much things to learn. On the other hand when people have learned something on their very own they are liable to be too self-confident and thus may cause mistakes. Moreover, complicated information sometimes is difficult to understand and obtain when you are on your own and while its studying may be time-consuming, it also can be misunderstood.

At present there is plenty of knowledge to obtain, but usually we do not have enough time for its mastering. Learning from others is the fastest way to achieve that. Actually we start to learn from others from very young age as babies. We learn to talk as we perceive and imitate our parents or our elder siblings. When we go to school we have to take most of the things for granted; it will impossible for everyone to discover and prove every theorem in math or to invent a microscope and then use it to observe cells. The science could not advance if people had to learn on their own and not to use what others have achieved and invented.

When people learn something alone they tend to be assured that they have done it faultlessly and that they are experts in that area. Sometimes it is hard to understand what you still do not know and thus may result in errors, made by cursory look or insufficient expertise. Although others may have tried to teach an important lesson, some people are eager to learn that lesson in a hard way; by the method of trial and error. Such lesson may be “do not ever get drunk” and such an obstinate person is me. In spite of the experience of my relatives and friends.

Learning starts with failure

Learning starts with failure; the first failure is the beginning of education.”

Learning starts with failure; the first failure is the beginning of education.” every person has to face failure some or the other day and that’s where learning starts. Nobody is born with all the skills nor the knowledge required for success. Failure is the basis of education and is the beginning of the learning process.

As the saying goes “try and try till you succeed”, it is not the end of the road for a person who has failed to succeed. We must learn from our mistakes and this learning is the true education. We might forget what we learn from books but a person will never forget what we learn from personal experiences in our life. Winning or success does not belong to a single individual. Sometimes losing is greater than winning, to win is nothing but to rise and that is only possible by learning from failure and that it is a greater achievement.

There are many great personalities whose career started with a failure. Like Albert Einstein, known for his theory of relativity, made lots of effort to develop such wonderful creation. He did not succeed at once but tried thousands of time and finally tasted success. The whole word praised him for his work. But this was not possible without failure .

Once a student tastes success he starts to be complacent and rest on his/her laurels, a failure is inevitable. As a consequence, the student will gain momentum again, ambition to continue to be the best will in life.

My Introdution myself

Hello, my name is Sohail Noor but most people call me SONO. I was born on Feb 10, 1990. I live in Afghanistan, with my big family. I live with my mother and other relatives (grand mom, uncle, aunt ...).

I don't have any brothers or sisters so that's a bit boring sometimes but I am not sad about it because I'm not that kind of person. I'm an active, easy-going and talkative person and I love to talk with new people.

I am self-confident. That's why i think i different from other students, but sometimes i have too much confidence and it's not good for me. I love sports like basketball, badminton and volleyball. I like to try new things (except if it too dangerous, then I won't try it,).

I like play piano, guitar (just a little), and some Afghan music. Well, actually i can play more than I have written; I mostly love to listen to the music. I like  some hip-hop songs. I don't like sad songs though, because it's make me feel blue.

Back to myself, I am interested in other languages, including English, Urdu, Hindi, as well as the cultures and social lives in these countries. In my free time I like to play on the computer, sleep, listen to music, and read about philosophy. When I was too young my mom always bought me philosophy books, so i familiar with lots of philosophy. I don't like to read comic books like other teenagers.
As i told you before, I'm an easy-going person, but I’m not going to tell you that I’m perfect. Nobody's perfect after all.

Sometimes, I’m a lazy person like other teenage, but I'm still responsible when it comes to my work.

My ambition is be a rich business man and the lawyer at the same time,
so I need to study hard and be more mature. I hope that my life will be better and better, and I hope that my stay in America will be a rewarding experience with no trouble. Finally, I hope all my dreams will come true and I will be very happy if I succeed in my studies and in my life.
