Loneliness

Feeling alone though there are a lot of people around you is the worst feeling. Today is Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam. It's also the first festival I have joined in the US. No moon cake, no lanterns, no friends, no family ... I feel cold inside and outside. However, I can't share my feelings to anyone ... I don't know how to share but the most important thing is I don't really want anyone to know my feeling . Don't want to bother anyone. It's true that I always struggle myself ... I have just seen the wedding's album of my old classmate and also some pictures of my close friend with her boyfriend. I don't know why I cried ... yeah ... cried in silence. I feel jealous, and ... uncomfortable. Because day by day I can feel I am getting older and older, maybe it's time for me to have a shoulder ... I always try to do my best to work, to support my family and forget my feelings in purpose. I am really tired now. I am not strong as I used to think but I never will give up. I have to be strong and stronger.

Hello everyone ^^

I’ve been working for one week. There are so many things for me to learn and to work. Working here, I now definitely know that how I am lucky. After graduating, I didn’t feel so much confident about myself. I read newspaper to look for the vacancy announcement; I registered some websites which help people to find a job… Many jobs I’m really interested in. However, some of them require good appearance, I don’t have it. Others require experience. I don’t have any experience. For about 2 months, I just worked as a tutor and tried to improve my knowledge. It was such a boring time. One day, I got a message from a company asking me to interview.  I passed the interview and went to work until now. Now I am a Human Resource Assistant. Thanks to my experience as well as my job at present, I know that to get a good job, there are some requirements more important than appearance and experience.

So what is my purpose to write this blog? I don’t mean to show off myself. I want to create a topic for everyone:

-To share your own experience to get a job --> it will be precious material for who are looking for a job.

-To share your job at present. --> Your responsibilities, do you enjoy your work, what are the important qualities for that position, your work’s objectives in 5 years.

-If you are still a student, or you haven’t had a job yet, which job do you want to look for? What is your major now? Your characteristics/ skills/ qualifications --> so maybe someone who has experience can give you some advice.

I hope that this topic will help you to know more clearly about yourself as well as to define your future job.

Ok, now firstly I’d like to share my own experience.

As I told you, I am a HR assistant. My responsibilities are contacting with employment service center to look for candidate, arranging interview, cooperating with Dept Head to interview Candidate and giving final selection. Then, I set plan and cooperate with Training Manager to conduct training for staff.  At first, I don’t really know about this position, but now I’m really interested in it. I will try to do my best to get a good result and get more experience during my 2 month – probation. I want to be a good HR manager before the age of 30.

Some qualifications need for a HR assistant – be responsible, persuasive and sensitive, quite understand other’s psychology and have leadership skill. Besides, you should have a good voice and be patient, because you have to talk a lot and have to contact many people.

There are 3 things I learned from my last interview.

Firstly, self-confidence and quickly response are so important. You have to believe in yourself, then you can convince the interviewer believe in you, too. During your interview, the interviewer will ask you about your work objectives, your strong points, weak points, the company’s information, your qualifications for the position which you apply for. They can ask you some questions to make you difficult in order to see how you react. So be calm and response confidently and quickly. You will get plus (+) from them.

Secondly, if your certificate or diplomas are not very good, you should be confident you also have chance to get a good job. The most important thing is how well you do in the interview. Besides, the interview highly evaluates the candidates who join outside/social activities…  So if you haven’t joined such activities, let do it now.

The last thing is preparing a good CV. It is the first key to make a good impression to the company, to force them to contact you. You should write clearly, detailed, not too much colorful. Especially, you have to show your aim in your near future, how you do to improve yourself, your skills, your social activities, and your reference. One more thing you shouldn’t forget – to write your address, your email or your phone number, so the company can contact you easily.

These are something I want to share with all of you. Hope that they can help you.

Good luck everyone.

Now this is your turn … ^^

New day, new future ahead

I got a job yesterday and tomorrow is my first day to work. I spent all day to prepare everything for the next day ... a little tired ... but happy because from now on I'll be more mature and have many things to do. Hard working makes perfection, I think. I'm a lucky girl, I always believe about that. But there are many things I have to do now. Luckiness brings me chance, but my attemp and capacity are the key of success. Although I got the job, I don't think I really succeeded. My test is so bad... I was quite satisfied with my test, but the score was not as I expected. I'm really disappointed about that because it was related to my major. I always keep in my mind what the interviewer said "Your score is good enough ... just normal, not really good ... that so many people get higher score". At that time I confidently replied him "I see that you don't highly evaluate on my score. However, I don't think score is the most important matter. My characteristics, my qualification are suitable for the position ... and I think I can work well at that position." And "I have a leadership skill because I used to be a leader in class... everyone in class loves me and I'm confident about that" blah blah .... How self-confident I am!!! Now I was recruited, but a long hard time is ahead ... I have to try and improve myself.... TRY TRY TRY !!!!

I haven't had much time on MyEC for 2 days ... and maybe for some days following. I feel so sorry about that ... I will miss you all .....

By the way, I would like to get some advice from all of you about the position "HR assistant" ... who has any experiences ... plz tell me... thanks a lot.

(Ps: Plz correct if there are any errors or mistakes. Thanks ^^)

Best luck to you, my lovely friends.

Welcome to my world …

This is the first time I write blog on EC although I’m a member of our family for a long time. I used to think of many different ways to attract everyone and set plans to enhance my English. However, I didn’t have any improvement. I blame for my tight studying schedule, my busy work, my sickness, blah blah … As a result, my English gets worse and worse. That is because I’m afraid of making mistakes, and do not have enough determination to pursue my plan. Truly, I’m not self-confident when using English now. I have to change!!!

Today I learned a meaningful proverb:

“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best” (Tim Duncan).

Yeah.., better late than never… from now on, I’ll try to do my best. Hope that everyone will support and study with me.

I really appreciate to get your comments.

If there are any mistakes in my writing, please correct them. Thanks so much.
