Dear Friends..

Here I would like to give some reference which can be used during speaking activities...

Expressing one's opinion

I think (that)....

I feel that ....

As far as I'm concerned....

I my opinion/view....

I personally fee/think that....

I believe that....

Asking for someone's opinion

Do you think that...?

what do you think/feel about...?

Are you sure that...?

Giving reasons

The reason why... is that

I think... is right because...

... that's why I feel that

.... and so I think that...

Defending one's opinion

Yes.. but what I really mean is...

what I'm trying to say is...

On the contrary, I....

what you said is really an argument...

for my point of view.  I feel...

Praising

... is/are great/wonderful/fabulous

l've never...  a more interesting/better than...

is the best... I know...

... is the most beautiful... I've ever seen

Stating whether something is right or wrong

True...

that's right

that's it, exactly

that isn't right.

absolutely not...

Please practice the above which will be very useful while speaking....

Friends

Here I am giving some generally asked interview question with small advice for the same

Question # 1

Tell me about yourself (this is a general question asked during interview... while your answer itself they will come to about skills - so be careful in answering the first question... you have to prepare about yourself and practice more and more for this question.

Advice : Don't be afraid to ask the interviewer to clarify if the question is about your personal life or your professional life.

Question # 2

What can you contribute towards the company or institution?

Advice : Tell them about your achievements in your previous position that are relevant to the new position you are applying for..

(in case of new post - you can say about your achievements in the college days)

Question # 3

Why do you want to work for this company or institution?

Advice : Stress the positive reasons why you want to join their company.  Do not mention things like more money or shorter hours!! and do not say for better prospects since it does not mean anything (never say "for better prospects")

Question # 4

Why do you want to leave your old company?

Advice : Be very very careful while answering this question... you do not say anything negative about your present company/company owner (employer)  If you say anything negatively  the new company may wonder what you will say about them when you join and leave them.  Instead of that tell them about wanting more opportunity for growth, new challenges and opportunities to improve my skills and experience.

Question # 5

What salary do you expect to get??

Advice: Now this is a difficult one... The question is probably asked to see how highly you regard yourself or possibly to find out how little the organisation can get away with paying you.

Question # 6

What was your greatest success?

Advice: you should pick an achievement that is tied to their needs, preferably one that did not occur years and years ago.

So be prepared to face any kind of interview...

Hope you enjoy reading this and bring back old memories!!!!

No matter what our kids and the new generation think about us,

WE ARE AWESOME !!!!
OUR LIFE IS A LIVING PROOF !!!!
To Those of Us Born during
1930 - 1979

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE
1930's, 40's, 50's,
60's and 70's!!

We were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cots covered
with bright colored lead-base paints.

We had no child proof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets
and when we rode our bikes,
we had no caps or
helmets on our heads.

As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster
seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and some times no brakes.

Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special
treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one
actually died from this.

We ate cup cakes and other sweets made with Butter & white sugar but were
not over weight.
WHY?

Because we were always outside playing....that's why!

We would leave home in the morning, go to school mostly on foot and play all
day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on..
No one was able to reach us all day. There were no cell phones, not even land
lines and, we were OKAY.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps
and then ride them down the hill,
only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few
times, we learned to solve the problem

We did not have Play stations, Nintendo's and X-boxes. There were no video
games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's,
no surround-sound or CD's,
no cell phones,
no personal computers,
no Internet and no chat rooms.

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no
lawsuits from these accidents.
We would get punishments like caning, spankings with sticks, or just a bare
hands and no one would call child services to report abuse.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang
the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.
Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They
actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best Managers
risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever.

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. What
can kids today do besides push buttons..

We had freedom, failures, successes and responsibility, and we learned how
to deal with it all.
If YOU are one of them, CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as
kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives
for our own good.

Friends...

In English grammar, the verbs are very very important one... Based on the verb only the TENSES HAVE BEEN DIVIDED INTO 12 situations.

For Examples....

Verb has three tense

Present, past, perfect

Example: go(verb 1) - went (verb 2) - gone (verb 3)

1- Past Simple = I went to the temple

(for past simple -  verb 2 must be used.

If you do not know the past tense verb, you can put "did" before the present tense verb

I went

you went

he went

she went

it went

for example : I did go to the temple

2- Past continuous = I was going.

For any continuous tense, (be verb to be included depending upon the situation) and  "ing" to be added after the present tense verb.  "BE" verb or auxiliary very are :

am - for first person/present and "was" for past tense

are - for second/(plural) person/present and "were for past tense

is - for thirty person/present and "was for past tense.

will be - for future for all persons.

(I know that you get confuse here but do not worry... practice!! practice!!! you can learn easily...

I was going

you were going

they were going

he was going

she was going

it was going

3- Past Perfect = I had gone.

for perfect tense after the subject "have/has" (have for first person, second person and plural and has for third person)  to be added for present perfect and "had" for past perfect and verb 3 to be used

I had gone

you had gone

she had gone

they had gone

4- Past Perfect Continuous = I had been playing.

for perfect continuous - after the subject have/has/had (depending upon the situation) along with been (been for all the persons) and "ing" after the present verb to be added.

I had been playing

they had been playing

she had been playing

he had been playing

it had been playing

5- Present Simple = I play.

very easy

I play

you play

they play

he plays

(in present tense, "s" to be added along with the verb 1 for third person)

she plays

it plays

6- Present continuous = I am playing.

as I told, for continuous "be" verb and ing after the present verb to be added.

I am playing

he is playing

she is playing

you are playing

they are playing

7- Present Perfect = I have gone.

subject + have (because present tense) + verb 3

I have gone

you have gone

they have gone

she has gone

he has gone

8- Present Perfect Continuous = I have been playing.

Subject+have+ been(for any person) ing after the present verb

example : you have been playing

subject+will (for all persons)+ verb 1

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she's blind.

She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He's always there for her.

She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she can see everything, including her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend asked her, "now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"

The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend is blind too, and refused to marry him.

Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter  to her saying.

"Just take care of my eyes dear."

This is how human mental thoughts changes when their status changed.

Let me share something about Water....

70% of the Earth's surface is covered with Water...

90% of the Water available in the earth is Salt Water

Salt water is filled with Salt and other Minerals which human can't drink/use directly

Less thank 1% of the water available in the earth can be used by human actually.

2% of the water on earth is Glacier Ice at the North and South Poles.  This ice is fresh water and could be melted; however, it is too far away from where the people live to be usable.

The Egyptians were the first people to record method of treating water.  These records dates back more than 1500 years to 400 AD.  They indicated that most common ways of cleaning water were by boiling it over a fire, heating it in the sun, or by dipping a heated piece of iron into it.  Filtering boiling water through sand and gravel and then allowing it to cool was another common treatment method.

molecules. A water molecule has three atoms: two hydrogen (H) atoms and one oxygen (O) atom. That's why water is sometimes referred to as H2O. A single drop of water contains billions of water molecules.

Pure water is tasteless, odorless, and colorless.

Water on earth today has been here for millions of years. Because of the water cycle, water moves from the earth to the air to the earth again. It changes from solid to liquid to gas, over and over again.

Fun facts

  • Without water, the earth would look like the moon.
  • All living things need water to live. People can live several weeks without food, but only a few days without water. We should drink six to eight glasses of water each day!
  • Water makes up 83% of our blood, 70% of our brain, and 90% of our lungs. Overall, our bodies are 70% water.

A tomato is about 95% water. An apple, a pineapple, and an ear of corn are each 80% water.
