Let's keep striking while the iron is hot! Due to the connection problem of MyEC these days, I will try to write more.... I hope you, too, friends. Don't let MyEC go down because of our absence. :))) :D

Once ever had my great friend said that there were three things that made a friendship would last long. They were Gratitude, Apology, and Compliment. I remember this a lot until now and as I observed in my opinion it is true. Not only a friendship, but also all kinds of relationship, such as family, colleague, schoolmates, or neighbors need these three things. Let me share my brief thoughts about it.

GRATITUDE is a feeling or attitude of acknowledgment when someone get a benefit. We usually say 'thank you', 'I'm grateful', 'I can't thank you enough', and so on. This is a very common thing that most people may never leave the day without saying these words, sincere or not. LOL. In my opinion, expressing gratitude is very important to appreciate and acknowledge the existence of people around us. It shows that we are social creature which one needs another. However, most of us often forgot to say thanks to our family or someone who are very close to us. Have you thanked to your parents, brothers, sisters or your spouse today? :)

APOLOGY is an expression of remorse, wiki. We ordinarily say 'I'm sorry', 'please forgive me', 'I apologise for...', and so on. To err is human nature. But, in this world, why do people tend to be hard to express an apology? Although someone has enough remorse of their mistakes, it is somehow hard to say those words. This is especially when the elder make mistakes to the younger. Let's see the kids nowadays. After quarreling, they are averse to make an apology. But if we give them a good understanding, just see how it will be useful for their future character. This should be a big task for the older to guide them well. We shouldn't forget that a big heart is needed to really forgive a person. :) Come back to when you feel guilty, is it too hard to say I'm sorry?? (I'm not singing :D) The problem is when we never feel guilty. :D :D

COMPLIMENT is an expression of praise, congratulation or encouragement, wiki. We hear many people say 'Congratulations', 'Awesome', 'Exceptional', 'Beautiful', and so on. Those words somehow encourage the person who are being complimented to be more confident or something else. However, don't let ourselves expecting high compliments unless we want get hurt if no body does it. You might hear some people got stressed by not getting likes on Facebook. You might hear parents were badly disappointed with the school report of their children. The worse thing I could hear was some people (especially celebrities) in some countries committed suicide just for a shamelessness of being failed to get compliments. According to me, the compliments will be a special gift for us if we never expect it. We need to compliment our friends, but remember to be sincere and never be exaggerating unless you're just kidding with your (close) friends. :)

Let's imagine how our world would be if we did these three things sincerely to the people around us.. :)

A FREELOADER

Igo left the company without any regret. He thought that he wouldn't get any problems by bearing the jobless status. It was probably because he had many friends and some rich relatives. Having left his luxurious flat, he continued the second week of being jobless staying at his uncle's house without any money in his pocket. He didn't try to find any other jobs.

There weren’t any of his uncle's family members at home during the day. So, he was being left alone in the house and didn’t plan to go anywhere. While they were leaving, he was so happy because he could eat anything he liked as his uncle said so. Besides eating, his only activities were watching TV and sleeping all day.

The second day, he was phoned by his friend offering a job in the supermarket. But, he declined the offer as if he hadn't needed any help. In the night, he was going outside with another friend who was very generous to him and could hardly refuse any of his demands. It was too late to go back to uncle’s house, so he stayed with his friend that night.

After getting back home in the morning, he saw all the family members were busy cleaning the house thoroughly. He greeted all and came into his room (guest room) without proposing any apology or offering any help. Seeing his attitude, his uncle kept quiet and still pitied him but couldn’t say anything to advise him. However, he tried to talk slowly to him then.

Those bad habits had not stopped until after he got a good job and left his uncle’s house without any gratitude at all. In a big company, he enjoyed a new life with his new friends. Despite his capabilities at that moment, he still liked freeloading everywhere he met the generous people. He often got so much free stuff but he never did something in return, even to be grateful.

Several months later, he lost his job again. That time, there weren’t any people who helped him. His uncle was dead and his auntie refused to accommodate him due to his bad attitude before. He could be a real beggar unless he found another job quickly. At last, he hardly managed to find any other jobs but a cleaning service.

Never had he experienced any difficulties before his parents were dead without leaving any inheritance. His experiences taught him how to thank and appreciate what he had. A few months later, he managed to find another better job. He promised himself that he wouldn’t be a freeloader anymore.

* * * * *

This short story is just a fiction which may sound illogical. :D Remembering my promise to join the challenge by Expector Smith (The Uses of Any) :), I've learnt further about it and decided to write about Freeloader, the word that I've shared in the game Guess My Word. I also used a few grammar lessons from teacher Tanya. This is just a life figure of a high level freeloader. :D But, it's not always without a job. Can you describe it better or simpler or funnier? Challenge in challenge, why not? ^_^

Thank you so much for your time reading this blog. Have a fantastic day, all! ^_^

Check this for the definition of FREELOADER!

CORRECTIONS

Most learners want their writings to be corrected by a Teacher of English, an English Native Speaker, or at least a member who's fluent in English. But you may see this rarely happen here. Have you ever thought why? Hey, who doesn’t want to be taught English freely?? Your writing may be understandable enough. Maybe it's about the language, not always the grammar. I think it would be a hard work to correct all the writings by the non-English Native Speakers. :)

You’re very enthusiastic in learning English here. You made an effort to write something you like and tagged or asked for correction, hoping that your post would be corrected. Time passed by and now you have many blogs without any corrections. Will you stop asking for correction, feel doing useless effort, or even hate EC? Oh, please don’t! :)

In fact, as I observed, members who are really active and very careful to make correction are in the lower level of English than those I mentioned. In this case, sometimes you may doubt and need to learn further for the correction. It seems to me that is okay. You must appreciate it and try to TEACH YOURSELVES.

Learning English needs a lot of patience and miles to go to master it. Every time I posted a blog post hastily, I would make a review several times since there might be many grammar mistakes, though I didn’t get any corrections. I did my own correction to improve my English skill by looking into the book or internet search, so that I would make it better next time. Almost all my blogs have correction tag or I asked for correction in sentence. I truly meant it. I expected to have corrections and actually not only from the higher level than me. So, if anyone finds an error, do let me know. I would really appreciate it. Just when you make corrections to me or others blogs, it'd be better to make sure that your corrections are reasonable. Correcting English is NOT ALWAYS EASY.

I, myself is a non-English Native Speaker, whose level is just upper-intermediate, maybe, :D. So, it’s so natural that I make mistakes time to time, especially when commenting. But sometimes, the soul of teaching in me can’t let the thing I’ve learnt be. When I see the correction tag or if anybody asks correction, I will try to find the errors VERY CAREFULLY. I won’t say anything when I’m not sure. I only fix grammar errors based on my skill. This is also the way of learning.

One of my experiences, I commented on the discussion about grammar. There I explained about the grammar I’ve learnt, but there was a doubt in the one who asked. Then, Mr. Jeffrey Raven, a fluent teacher of English justified my explanation. How happy I was! This encouraged me to learn and teach more. Thank you, Sir Jeffrey. :)

Here I just want to tell you all my dear friends, who really want to improve your English …

Keep asking for corrections!

Let’s learn together by teaching (reminding) each other and TEACH OURSELVES.

The best way to learn is 'FINDING the mistakes and NOT DOING it anymore'.

Teachers or English Native Speaker's tips or helps would be the gift for us.

Thank you very much for reading and I would like to have your opinions. :)

Dad and Son

"Why are you still here, Dad? Why do you not stay there with your wife?"

"Are you driving me out?", asked the man who was over 50 years-old.

"THIS IS MY HOUSE. You ought to stay there", replied his son.

Without having courage and strength, the man went to his brother's house that are not far from his house. He was shocked. He told his brother about what his son said while shedding tears. His brother immediately phoned that son telling to come and explain.

Knowing that this matter could make him be in a difficult situation, the son intended to come with his mother, the first wife of the old man, who was divorced because of her greedy and cheating with another man. Since she stayed in another village, it took a day for him to come fulfilling her uncle's call. They arrived at his uncle's house in the evening. Then, the conversation was started...

"What did you say to your father? Did you drive him out from his own house?"

"NO, uncle. I didn't say so."

"REBELLIOUS SON! You mean your father was lying??"

"NO! I never drove him out, nor did I ask him to leave home", he defended.

"It's true, my son would never do that", added his mother helping.

"IS THAT TRUE, MY BRO?" the uncle asked loudly to the old man who was in another room.

The man came out trembling and said, "No, he asked me to leave the house....and.....he said that that was his house".

"See! What else can you say?", asked his uncle furiously.

"I'm sorry, uncle. I didn't do it intentionally"

"Now you admit that? Why did you say sorry to me? Sorry to your father!"

The son immediately grabbed  his father's hand and begged sorry.

After that incident, the son had never changed. He kept acting and talking harshly to his father. His wife, the daughter in law, was also impolite to the old man. They liked making troubles on his father's merchandise, making it mussy.

The man had an emporium at the front part of his house. It was also a good business place and the only source for him to earn his living that had led him from zero to hero. So that, he couldn't just leave the house. His second wife really loved him, but she was driven out due to the slander from the people. They said she was greedy and just wanting the man's wealthy, whereas she's also from the rich family. She also stayed in another village.

Couldn't keep the attitude of his son up any longer, he finally left home and stayed with his wife. He still always came to his old house to do trading everyday. In this situation, the son still never stopped making troubles. Even more, he stole and changed the owner's name of the house's certificate under his mother's name and pawned the certificate of vehicle ownership of the car.

----------------------------------------

My memories could be different from what it was told to me. The man was the uncle of a friend o'mine and...this is NOT A DRAMA, BUT REALITY.

I would be glad if you share your opinion about "the father" or "the son" in this story. To see how rude his son towards him, do you think THE FATHER was A SUCCESSFUL MAN?? In my opinion, what happens to PARENTS and CHILDREN are connected to each other.

Anyway, any comments or just likes are very appreciated. Thank you very much for reading.

Because of My Carelessness [Part 2]

PART 1, the first time I was hospitalized. :D This time, I won’t tell you about the same case but the foolish ones that I can’t forget. :D

When I was at the college, I was a secretary of the student organization. On the active day, I went everywhere with much cash in my wallet. It was in the evening when I was home that I found there’s no wallet anymore in my back pocket of my jeans. I searched through my room, around the house, and also the park of my motorbike. No hope. I lost it. I calmly faced it without tears, though there was the money of organization, my driving licence, identity cards, Vehicle Number Registration Certificate (VNRC), Debit card, and I guess only a little cash of mine. I waited for one week, planned to use the money that would be sent by my mother to me monthly, though it’s not enough. When I was at the park of the campus at noon, I was called by the admin of the Majors Office. Lucky me! Someone told me that they received my student identity card. I immediately went there. They said that at that moment my wallet was in the hand of the park keeper who was very old. I met him and he smilingly gave the wallet to me. :D He said “Be careful! I found it fell on the road. Check first that your goods are still complete!”. “I can’t thank you enough, Sir. Yes, these are all the contents” Thanks God. Cash and cards were all safe. Yayy…:D Okay, no more saving wallet in the back pocket.

In the evening, it was my special day that I treated my friends in a small fish resto. I didn’t know why this oftentimes happened to me. I lost my wallet again after reaching home. LOL… That time I used my small bag and it was not in campus area. Also, I was not the one who drove, but behind someone's back. I searched all the long way where I was leaving and returning. With patience and smile, I went home without hope. :D Okay, I should receive it. “This time I lost all my cards, except the registration certificate. To make the new ones was really expensive. Hmm, I will make the new ones later” I said to myself. One week after, someone knocked at the house where I stayed. He was a food seller nearby. He looked for me and told me that he found the wallet in front of his stall. He found my address by reading information at my library card which there was my domicile address. There’s no money in my wallet anymore, but all cards were complete. I didn’t want to think negative at all, but thanked a lot to him. Thanks God, again. :D

One day in the afternoon, I put my Vehicle Number Registration Certificate in the front baggage of the motorbike. It’s because I needed to show it to the watchman of campus whenever I left the area. So, it made me easy and practical to cut the time. After finishing some affairs, I went home. Ah, what happened with me? that was the second time that I lost it. I had waited for a month hoping there might be a miracle. LOL. I was so reluctant to make a new one, because it would be a complicated matter and expensive, since I didn’t have any copy of it. I would make it later, I thought. A month later (2 months after the loss), It’s amazing that my mother phoned me saying that there’s a police came to deliver my VNRC (I’m not sure that this is the right abbr.:D). Wow! I was in the city, but my mother was in another town. That time I should commend that the police had worked very well. :D :p …and, I thought the watchman sent it to the police. How lucky I was! Thanks God. ^^

Last time, Oh!!! I hadn’t been cured of my bad habit. I had a new VNRC of motorbike which under my name, though it was my fathers. :D I showed it to one my close friend proudly, LOL… My friend told me that it would be better if I inserted a little note with my phone number in case of loss. After three days, it vanished without a trace before having the opportunity to give a little note. Though I had no clue, I tried to find it in everywhere I went that day. I was hopeless again. I joked with my friend that it would be back after 3 months, considering that I was always lucky. LOL… I didn’t make the new one, but just reported it to the police. Though the police gave me an easy way, I was reluctant to manage it, and again, expensive. I did what I said as joke. Not to wait, but I let it be as long as there’s no urgent matter. :D On the weekend, I wanted to clean my room thoroughly and make a little change. When I was sweeping the floor, after moving away something under my bed, I found something shiny. :) It was my VNRC……….LOOOOOOOL…

Well, I hope my stories can become a lesson to me and also you. :D Thanks Allah that YOU always returned what was in my hand. I’ll take care of the things more carefully. One more thing, my friends, it’s better to have a copy of the important cards/certificates/documents in case of something unpredictable. It would be easier to manage the substitute. The best safety is saving a scan of the originals on email or internet. :)

"It was a deep breath when we lost something. But believe that we will get the better substitute." :)

Thank you very much for reading. I’ll be pleased to have your comment and feel free to share your experience related to the loss or kinds of if there any. Have a pleasant day and take care! :)

Just a poem by Onee ^^

-------------------------------------------------------

Honestly, I didn't know the theme of this poem. Neither love, nor friendship, nor society, nor about earth. lol... Then just came out the tittle "REFLECTION" :D Thank you very much for this useful challenge, dear Expector. I learn a lot from this. To all the readers, thank you so much for spending your time to read this poem. Let me know if you like it. Correction will be highly appreciated. ^^

Some members of EC are not present on holiday to enjoy the reality. On the contrary, some others are present on their days off. Several members also come and go but no one can predict their reasons. Many members are almost online everyday and every time like you and me. Then, are you and I the most addicted members to this English Club platform?? :D

I tell you one little issue on this platform of English Club. If members has a fake identity, a fake picture, and/or even a fake belief, do you think they are spams or bugs?

Please get me your opinion about these questions. Thank you so much for reading my short blog and at the end, I'm succeed in excluding the letters I mentioned in the title. ^^

Have a nice day, everyone! :)

Note:

Fake identity means lying about the country, e.g. someone said he's from India, but he even never visited the country or born in that country. (EXCLUDING id name)

Fake picture means using someone's picture (EXCLUDING a baby, artist/famous people, cartoon characters, animals, nature, or things) e.g. I use my friend's picture that is more and more beautiful than me, not my family. lol...

Fake belief means admitting that she is submitting a religion but the fact she's not.

Question: What do you think is the greatest problem that EC is facing today? Explain

I take this question as a serious question, so I will give a serious answer. I hope Sir Josef and moderators will pay attention to this.

Answer: To think about the greatest problem on EC, I only concern the blog section. A blog should have been organized as paragraphs. If there was a photo or video, it should be only for further information. Recently, there are members who ONLY post photos and videos on blog. Once, I directly told them to post photos on photo section to members, but new members always pop out. SOMETIMES, it contains pornography. Well, it is not because I'm a Muslim, but I'm sure wherever the education lies all over the world, it certainly has the rule on the enjoinment of pornography, and this site is a famous education website. I dare to say about this because I think I know and I'm sure that many members are also not comfortable like me. I, my self, will be in bad mood and leaving EC once I see those things on blog section. One of my friends who was no longer active on this site told me that there was a bad thing on EC concerning pornography. I hope there is an unequivocal rule on blog section and EC itself.

To all the members here, I hope you will not support those kind of posts by commenting and liking. The photo and video section are available instead of posting them on blog.

Thanks a lot for hearing my thought.

At The Printer Service

Me = OneePM = Printer mechanic

After an hour of queue.
PM : What’s the problem?
Me : Error 5600, and the roll doesn’t move.
PM : Ok. Let me see!

A minute later, the printer didn’t work as I told him. Then, he disassembled it. I was intruding his work.
Me : Bro, I just bought the roll a month ago, but it didn’t work two weeks afterward. I still have the bill, it is exactly a month ago, so it’s still on warranty.
PM : Where is it?
Me : Here it is.

He seemed to be struggling a bit hard to fix it and make it work. Then, it worked and was the time to test for printing.
The colors except black didn’t appear at all. Easily he said…
PM : You must buy a new cartridge.
Me : What?? Are you kidding me?? …… Bro, I just bought the color cartridge two months ago. Please check again, maybe somewhere else is wrong.

He checked again cleaning the cartridge. Nevertheless, not a little color but black appeared.
PM : Yes, you must change the cartridge. The color doesn’t appear because the cartridge can’t arrest the ink anymore.
Me : What a non sense! I just bought this cartridge two months ago. How could it only have 2 months of life? Hello?? I’m not crazy to buy new again right now.
PM : Can you show me the bill for the color cartridge?

I was checking it in my bag, but…
Me : It was on a pay service day, and I lost it.
PM : So, we only have that clue. You should buy new.
Me : Hhh??? You don’t believe it? Ask that bro and that sis (I appointed two people who fixed my printer before). I spent these two months to come here THREE TIMES. Now, you ask me to buy the same type of cartridge because I don’t have the bill. WHAT DO YOU MEAN, BRO? Please just check again properly and FIX IT, so I can use it.

He disassembled the ink modification and turned it back to the original design. The two people whom I mentioned didn’t do any defense, they were just staring at me in silence and fixing other’s printer. While I was still talking, people around seemed concerning at my anger. :D

Me : I spent money as much as the price of the printer these two months. I WON'T GROPE IN MY POCKET anymore for this. I hope I can use it for at least 6 months. There’s still a bunch of inks for this printer. WHATEVER you do, please just make the print work.
PM : Well, it can print without ink modification. If you use ink modification, you must buy a new color cartridge. The old one can’t contain a lot of ink anymore.
Me : How can it be?
PM : Yeah, that’s it. It can print without ink modification, but you must change the cartridge for ink modification set.
Me : But I have just bought it for two months. If you ask me to buy black cartridge, it's logical. But the color cartridge, that's quite not logical.
PM : And where is the bill now?
Me : What?? I can’t believe it. How could you assume that it is the old one just because I don’t have the bill. Really something!

He did nothing and almost say “next” to another customer, he said…
PM: Yes, it is.
Me : I WILL NOT BUY. I want you to fix it until it works?
PM : It works without ink modification.
Me : OKAY, WHATEVER! Do it! SO, it can work.
PM : Ok. Just detach the ink modification!
Me : Ok. Then, how to fill the ink?
PM : Now, it’s a different question….  Put in the ink by injection on this. (He showed me how to do it).
Me : Ok, now it works?

He only nodded. Printing is okay. Black and color appeared so fine. After that, I, together with my friend packed it into the box, then said..
Me : Okay, then. Thanks!!

It happened 6 months ago and I couldn’t help but laugh when remembering it. What I want to ask is “Do you really feel my anger there?” I was trying so hard to make them feel it. Lol. Actually, I prepared many words and audacity to claim the printer breakage to the printer mechanic, but those were the words I spoke. :D After going away, I laughed with my friend asking “Did I look angry enough?” “Not really, but good job.” LOL… I was satisfied enough for this. The printer works well under my care. Last month, it printed more than 1500 pieces of paper for the project I got. I’m so thankful to God. :)

Thank you for reading and I would be glad to hear your comment about my measure on this event or your story related about this. :))

failaughy | adjective | / feilɒːfɪ /

describes someone who has a joke so poorly told and so unfunny that one cannot help but laugh. Someone who seeks for an attention by making a joke, but the joke is totally failed. Otherwise, friend or people around will laugh at him/her, at the lack hilarity of a joke, not because of his/her funny joke. Original word: JAYUS.

Example: A thief told the police a failaughy witnesseth. "Hey, how many sheep you have stolen?" "One" "But these are three sheep" "Oh, these two are its lambs, they followed after it"

---

failaughter | noun | / feilæf·tər /

a laughter that came out from a corny or unfunny joke of his/her own.

Example: I really miss his failaughter. He said he would jump over the sea just to meet me.

---

kitchild | adjective, noun | / kɪtʃaild /

(adj.) describes the kind language that is too informal and disdained by people, usually refers to written language. The writers of kitchild language don't care about the proper contraction. They embellish or abbreviate the language to be excessive by their own creativity. For the most excessive usage, it is written in a mixture of small and large fonts or even with number like "a1 r3ALLy luPh yU (I really love you)". This makes "castes" in language, with them being at the bottom caste. Dear all, I’ll try to make a brief explanation about those in the title regarding to my discussion “Can we change BAD character?”. Please remember that it’s not an exact science but social (psychology), so there will be broad definition among psychologists. Here is my resume and conclusion.

ATTITUDE (in psychology) is an expression of favor or disfavor toward a person, place, thing, or event. Prominent psychologist Gordon Allport said “Attitude is the most distinctive and indispensable concept in contemporary social psychology. In my own language it is an expression toward a certain thing.
Example: denial, believe in things, afraid of spiders.

BEHAVIOR is the range of actions and mannerism in conjunction with themselves or their environment. It is acquired through conditioning that occurs through interaction with the environment. I can say it is a series action that is influenced by social or environment.
Example: being loyal, thinking of others, stealing, courtesy, always feel they are right.

HABIT (in psychology) is a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur unconsciously. It requires little or no thought and is learned rather than innate. I define this as a routine of behavior for a certain thing that is learned.
Example: excess smoking, putting a seat-belt after getting into the car, nail-biting.

CHARACTER (in psychology) is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. Another dictionary says it is “the stable and distinctive qualities built into an individual’s life which determines his/her response regardless of circumstances. The broadest definitions have “character” as nearly synonymous with “personality”. According to me, it is the fundamental traits that inherent to person, inborn.
Example: lazy, loyal, gives up easily, generous, late, unfriendly, selfish, bad-tempered, careless, childish.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/habit
https://thecharacterproject.com/documents/Psychology_RFP.pdf

and other sources…

All of them surely have correlations, but I won’t explain any further since it’s not required. And if you read the examples, you may see the similarities but the intention or meaning is different.

What I mean about BAD character in my discussion are actually from the negative personalities.

There’s no definite personality for every person, but let’s see if we know ourselves. For some of the negative personalities, we could use it to face a certain thing and it could be good to improving ourselves. But for some NEGATIVES also COULD DAMAGE ourselves or our relationship with family, friends or colleagues.

In my religion, Islam teaches how we should do to be a good person. But here, I mean to discuss the negative things through our character. Since people naturally have positive and negative personalities, let’s try to improve ourselves by changing or suppressing the NEGATIVES.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for reading and giving attention. I’m so pleased to be here with great people like you. I hope it clarifies my discussion. For all of you, who made me posting this blog, THANKS. Heavy task! :D Please do tell me if there any mistake.

Note: I’m sorry. I closed comments for this blog in order not to make double discussion (on the same topic). Anyway, your thumbs up mean a lot to me. Thanks a million. :)

One Year on EC

It was on 1st October 2014 when I was searching for more explanation about grammar on Google that I found and joined EC. This kind of site was not familiar to me. I didn't know much nor did I really care if there were so many benefits I could get from here. What I saw here was I could have my own page and I would be able to upload photos. I got comments and made friendship. What about you? I wonder how you could get here.

After a few days, I took a visit again and chatted with some members. Wow! They weren’t on my friend list but they could chat with me. Thereafter, I have some friends from here on my Whatsapp. I was so happy because I could practice English every day, though it’s just chat. Later, I got some calls and video calls. But I wasn't really interested in it because I hate the radiation of any gadget. The radiation will be increased when calling.

For some moments, I rarely came to EC again, but still uploaded photos and made more friendship sometimes. In December 2014, a friend of mine invited me to read an interesting blog. I said to myself “Ha? We can make a blog here..? Ooh..I see”, even I didn't know that before. I didn’t notice the activities on MyEC home page. But still, I wasn’t interested. I wasn't a blogger. (Now maybe still not :D)

In January 2015, my friend was being a current star member. I really didn’t know what is that mean. “What is star member? Is it worth to be one of them? What is the requirement to be one of them?” “I don’t know either. But, thanks for congratulating me”, I chatted with my friend. This site seemed to be more attractive for me. I saw the list of star members and make friendship with them. I just felt that they’re great people from whom I can take the benefit from (I’m not sure it’s including me now :D). Being active in commenting photos and a few blogs are my interest then.

With the intention of just for fun, the silly poem of my first blog was posted in late January 2015. Though the comments and likes are not so many, but I started to like blogging. One of my photos has been featured and it encouraged me much. I tried to read and comment more on blogs and get the benefit of learning here. I was so eager to learn and ask questions to senior and fluent or advance members and of course Expector Smith, our blog’s moderator. I learnt a lot from his blogs. And again, wow! They were so generous to explain my questions. It always improves my grammar and increases my vocabulary. As a learner, you could do the same. Little by little, I got a lot of training and until now I’m still learning. English has been my interest since I was in Elementary School.

On the first of March 2015, there was a thing that made me surprised and I can’t forget. English Club featured my profile. Ooh, I’m one of the star members. Really, I didn’t know what I should do then. I just thought that it meant I should be more active. Being a star was not the case but I really felt like blogging and being active here then. The funny true story of mine on my second blog was posted a few days after. Would you read it? :)

I’m having fun of posting blogs and photos. I take a chance to join some challenges. I like commenting and interacting with people here. There are many great bloggers and photographers. I could also upgrade my knowledge by having friendship with great people from many countries. I also learnt a lot from videos. The videos of teacher Vicki Hollett and Alan R Nicol taught me much in English. Their videos are interesting, really helpful and informative for learner. They are so kind and generous, too. I hope I can use all the lessons from them in my writing. I’m not really active in chatting but sometimes I come to chat privately.

In late April 2015, I was more interested in here. Lady Anne who is a teacher came to make quizzes. Well, it was a quite interesting moment. She also liked to correct many blogs. I learnt a lot from her. She said she would be hitting the floor of EC again once she had a vacation. Oh, I miss you my friend Lady Anne.

To tell you the truth, I’m not a teacher but just a tutor and English is not my main subject. I learnt a lot English grammar from the school book in all grades. But, practicing here made my English has really improved. I also had never posted blogs before, neither in English nor in my native. You might say my English grammar is basically good enough :D, but you can see that I lack vocabulary and idioms. Besides, the complicated sentences are often made me confused. That's why I take the training from here.

The wonderful challenge in June 2015 (June Blogathon) also encouraged me much. Many members like me were encouraged to write and it’s good for training. The friendship is also more interesting. Do you agree? :)

Today, 1st October 2015, I’m surprised again. Being the current star for me only means I have to be more active. I will try my best. It’s all about English and friendship that I want to tell you. One year exactly I have been here and I feel this site means a lot to me.

Dear Tara Benwell, thank you very much for managing this site interestingly. You must be a busy teacher, but you still do a great job here. Moreover, I want to thank the founder of EC a lot for creating this wonderful site. This site is very useful and it’s worth to be here. Thank you very much, Mr. Josef Essberger.

--------------------------

I dedicate this blog to the owner of English Club and all of you who are interested in here and English. I'm not sharing this blog to get congratulations, but only show my thanks and my feelings as my stay here. Enjoy being here and I wish you are pretty good and happy today!

Many thanks for reading my long blog and I would like to know your opinion. :)

Misdate [Conditional Sentence]

That was a cheerful morning, at 8 o’clock. I was watching TV and chatting with friends. Only about 5 rooms or 15 meters far, I had left my room with the sounds of rock music on so loudly. So, I could hear all the sounds of music, TV and our charmed talking simultaneously. Really youngster! lol I didn’t know why I suddenly wanted to enter my room. I sauntered into the room and felt the morning was full of piece.

I checked my phone and was shocked to see the message sent by my senior. I hurriedly changed my clothes, prepared the stationery and put into my bag, a minute for looking at the mirror, grabbed the key of my motorbike, then brrrmmm……… I went to campus.

When I got there, there was only a quiet ambience, the inverse of my mood. I knocked at the door and said “Excuse me, Madam. May I come in the class?”. “Yes”, replied her with no expression on her face, then she gave me a paper test. I immediately took my seat beside my senior. After a minute, he whispered, “Is it possible for you to answer all the questions? Can you?”. I winced at him and hopelessly answered, “I…..don’t…..know”. He whispered again, “If you didn't come late, you could answer all questions”. “Yeah, I think so”, responded me.

It was over. Though I got a little help, :D I couldn’t answer all the questions in only half an hour. I was late an hour on the final semester exam for one subject. I thought the exam was the next day. I found that it was a misprint of day, but the date was valid. If I had noticed the schedule well, I wouldn’t have repeated the course on the next semester. lol….

I will be more careful if I follow any exam next time. Thanks for noticing me”, said me to my senior. He responded, “Yeah, no problem. You should do that because I won’t join this class anymore. haha...”. It was an embarrassing moment. Even he noticed that I hadn’t taken a bath at that time. It was the first and the last time I didn’t concern to my performance. Lol………

Thank you very much for reading. I’d be glad to have any correction.

Today, I want to greet all the great people in the world. See! The sun that has no son rises from the east in the morning. The wind can’t win in the war of your mourning. I see you’re in daze these days. Indeed, you’d been being so weak for the whole last week.

I can hear your weeping from here. I can feel your beautiful eyes dropping tears so often. Like a dense smoke dancing in front of you, you haven’t seen the scene of happiness. Now, let’s have a seat for a while to take a seed of new enthusiasm.

Your friends always advise you, but you never heard their advice. Your heart is hard to approve it. You walk up the stair while staring at the sadness that you left behind. Sometimes, you feel faint by your own feint. You didn’t take the lesson to lessen your loss. You’ve made yourself a maid of your greed.

Take a peek the possibilities to reach the peak of your aim. Don’t get bored with this board of life. Your life is like a live TV program. Everyone is watching and waiting to see the end of your story. Hey, the knight doesn’t help you much at night, but morning. Just remember, you are the master of the reign of yourselves and it couldn’t be stopped by rain.

Now, who’s the great person?? I mean great people. They whose heart and mind don’t easily get trapped, weakened, and surrendered. Yeah, it’s you. Let’s have a new enthusiasm! Have a great moment of life! ^^

Try reading by saying it. You'll find it's fun. :D

The King and The Prisoner

Hi all, I just can't let myself being absent at the last seconds of this wonderful challenge. You're so amazing, friends. This is the 582nd blog of June Blogathon.

Here is just about a puzzle question. But it was very hard question for me to answer, so I remembered it a lot.

There is a king and a prisoner. The prisoner is no other Hercules. He is sentenced to death. At this time, he is in a jail which has two gates with a guard on each gate. One of the gate is the door toward the forest, let's name it gate A. Another gate is the door toward the ravine, gate B. One of the guard is an honest man who always tells honesty. Another guard is a liar who always tells lie.

Hercules beseeches to the king to spare his life. The wise king has thought it too much and finally declare a decision for Hercules.

"Okay, I'll give you a chance. I will let you ask a question to one of the guard so you can find the way out . If you are successful, you can get out of here. Think of your question well until tomorrow morning"

Hercules is thinking about it carefully at the moment.

The question for you is...

"How will Hercules ask so he can get the way out?"

Note: We don't know which guard is honest man or liar.

It's my pleasure if you do share your answer...I will put my hats off to you who can answer it right, without knowing first about this question. Many thanks. :))

I Want You

I want to be the first that you see when you open your eyes
I want to be the last that you see when you intend to close your eyes
I want to be there in your every dream
I want to emblazion your days

I want to see your smiles
I want to see your laugh
I want to see your jokes
I want to feel your affection

I want to be there when you are weary
I want to be there when you are brittle
I want to be there when you feel you are lost
I want to be a part of your bliss

I want to go where ever you will go
I want to follow what you want
I want to hear your advice
I want you to be my king

Oh God, am I too selfish?
I just remembered my wish
Anyhow, I'm just a girl
that has desires and dreams
And all that remains is him

Oh God, give me a way
What should I do to face
this long and deepest feeling
To love him...

Don't Get Hurt

Is there anyone who never gets hurt? I’m sure that all of you ever get hurt. That could happen when you feel lonely, when you hate someone, when someone says painful words, when everyone disagrees with you, when you feel failed, etc. How do you usually overcome all of those conditions? Well, I think some of you are expert in this matter.

Will you let your heart surrender? Means let your heart gets hurt. I hope not. When you get hurt, it means you let yourself hurt. A wise man said, “No one can hurt you without your consent”. When I got this expression, I felt there is a hope. I was trying to find anything that makes me happy, to be grateful for everything I had, at the time I got hurt.

Why did I say when you hate someone you could be hurt? It is because you would remember him/her a lot, put some jealousy on him/her, compare anything with him/her, waste much time for this, etc. Then, when you found he/she is better than you, you would surely get hurt. So, to ignore yourself hurt, just push away your hate first. I believe that this hate will just hurt you more. What do you think?

I’m not saying that I never get hurt or never hate someone. Well, it’s just human nature. But when someone hurt me with rough words or his/her silence, I was trying to wait and see what will happen to the next, being patient. At the moment when I got hurt, you might not believe that I just put a bigger smile for it. Why? At that time, I do self-introspection and the feeling of hate is gone in a split second. Being patient doesn’t mean we are doing nothing, but keep trying to do the virtues. In essentials, I'm not hurt.

What if you are hated or disliked by someone? Does it really make you uncomfortable? Yes, it does. Let's try to go back to do self-introspection and just keep moving on. I remembered a lot this quote from my friend, Evangelina, a wonderful quote, “I don’t have a time to hate people who hate me, because I’m too busy in loving people who love me”. Thanks Eva,, I hope it could help others too.

You, who decide yourself whether you are hurt or not. Keep this last superb quote in mind from Christiano Ronaldo, “Your love makes me strong, your hate makes me unstoppable”.

Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you won’t get hurt by anyone or anything. It's your choice. ;)
