Try to write a short story using some idioms of your choice, which you may find from the source (as provided by Sir Joe Essberger):

https://www.englishclub.com/vocabulary/idioms.htm

You can also use the base word Water as I have done in my previous blog.

Steer your thoughts, feelings, and ideas put the words on the canvas giving them a shape.

Following is my another blog on idioms expressing colors:

"Colorful Expressions"

It’s now black and white that she never loved me. She is gone forever leaving me in blue. I have been in black mood all the time thinking about her. Last time I have had an argument with her, but I was in grey area about what she was up to.

I was looking at her red face I would never be a green-eyed monster, if she has fallen in love with somebody else.   There would be no one more tickled pink than me if she really likes someone else.  I will pass with flying colors because I have seen the true colors.

---------------

Lets see how you get inspiration.

Thanks Josef Essberger for giving me idea.

IDIOMS ON WATER

I didn’t know that I was getting into hot water while I declined her chat call.  She got angry and pointed me out that how out of etiquette my attitude was.  She also said though blood is thicker than water, but friendship is also important and it is sometimes proved not blown out of water.  I was really dead in the water when tried to pacify her.  It was like dipping a toe into the water.  My carelessness really put me in a position like fish out of water, feeling hard even to breathe.  I was not sure that how long I will be able to keep my head above the water.  I then chatted with her and then she realized that how still water runs deep.

1. get into hot water (to be in or get into trouble)

2. blood is thicker than water (family relationships are stronger than any others
3. blow out of the water
(to show that somebody/something is not good by doing something)

4. dead in the water
(a person or plan that is dead in the water has failed).

5. dip a toe in/into the water (to start doing something very carefully)

6. a fish out of water
(a person who feels uncomfortable or awkward because he or she is in surroundings that are not familiar)
7. keep your head above water
(to deal with a difficult situation.)

8. still waters run deep (a person who seems to be quiet or shy).

Swat Valley has a rich history that dates back over two thousand years. The Valley, called Udyana in ancient times came under Achaemenid influence for a short while before the former independent rulers regained control over it. The towns Udegram and Barikot, called Ora and Bazira in Greek accounts, were captured by Alexander in 327 BC. By 305 BC, the region became a part of the Mauryan Empire. Finally the Kushan dynasty absorbed Swat and this was time when the Gandhara civilization flourished. The Kushans were overthrown by the White Huns somewhere around the 5th century CE. From the 8th century CE onwards, the Arabs started to exert pressure from the west in the Persian-Afghan region where the Hindu Shahi Dynasty still ruled. The Muslim era in Swat began with the Mahmud of Ghazni from Afghanistan, who in 1001 CE, conquering Swat amongst other areas as he pushed into India. People from different Pukhtun tribes settled in Swat and came to be known Swati Pukhtuns. Practically, they remained independent and out of the sphere of the neighbouring Muslims rulers of Afghanistan and India throughout their occupation. The Islamic State of Swat was established in 1849 under Sayyid Akbar Shah with Islamic Shariah law in force but the state was in abeyance from 1863 to 1915. The British recognized the state as a princely state in 1926. Following the Partition of India in 1947, the ruler acceded the state to Pakistan.

Buddhism

Swat is thought to be the probable birthplace of Vajrayana Buddhism. There are many archaeological sites in the district and Buddhist relics are common testimony to their skills as sculptors and architects. It is said that Swat was once filled with fourteen hundred imposing and beautiful stupas and monasteries, which housed as many as 6,000 gold images of the Buddhist pantheon for worship and education.

The Taliban effect

There were more than 400 Buddhist sites covering an area of 160 km in Swat Valley before the Taliban's rise to power, but these historical heritages are being systematically targeted by the Taliban and it is feared that their intolerance will not allow for the survival of any traces of Buddhism in Swat

These Days

Not able to meet even myself these days

Don’t know what’s happened these days

Now-a-days all senses have got frozen

Emotions have got angry these days

Go far somewhere to live

Thoughts come in mind these days.

Life is untrustworthy, irregular heartbeats

Many fears are raising these days

Everyone seems locked in-self

Nobody’s asking questions these days.

SIGNS CAN'T BE DENIED

Tinto River, Spain

The Rio Tinto is a river that flows through the city of Huelva in southwest of Spain. You’re probably thinking “why is some river that special” – well, the name of the river actually means “painted” in Spanish and it got the name due to itsbrick-red colour. The area along the river was for centuries a mine of copper, gold and other metals. After that many years of mining high levels of iron dissolved in the river which resulted in making the water extremely acidic.

Kjeragbolten, Norway

Here’s a perfect example of how nature is truly magical and unpredictable. Kjeragbolten is a mountain rock situated in Rogaland county in Norway. The boulder is “placed” between two cliffs at an altitude of 984 metres so you practically feel like you’re floating in the air. Besides being a very popular tourist attraction, Kjeragbolten is also one of the favourite spots for base jumping addicts. Getting there can be quite a challenge, especially the mountain climb because some parts require climbing equipment. However, once you get there, all the hard work will pay off because the view from the rock is absolutely amazing. And remember – don’t look down!

Hum, Croatia

Hum on the Istrian peninsula in Croatia is often referred to as the smallest town in the world although it certainly doesn’t look like one. This “town” was established back in 11th century and since then it has remained almost intact and that is why it still has the title of a town. There are only two streets in Hum and only 30 residents according to 2011 census. Although small in size, Hum is known for its unique mistletoe schnappswhich can be only found in Hum. In fact, every year at the end of October all Istrian brandy makers gather on a fair in Hum where the visitors get to taste different types of brandy. Another attraction near Hum is theGlagolitic Alley which connects the town of Roc with Hum. It is actually a 7-kilometre long road with a series of 11 erected monuments, last being the City Gates of Hum.

Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland

The Giant’s Causeway is a natural reserve located in the vicinity of Bushmills, Northern Ireland. This nature’s wonder is unlike any other in the world – it consists of approximately 40 000 basalt columns which got included in UNESCO World Heritage Site list due to their rather peculiar shape. Although these rocks are actually the result of a volcanic eruption, there’s still a legend about them which says that the rocks were built by a giant (hence the name). In 1986 was opened Causeway Tourist Centre where you can get useful information about the site, exchange money and buy souvenirs.

Popeye Village, Malta

Nearly 40 years ago, this “village” didn’t even exist until Disney Productions decided to use the site near Mellieha as a film set for Popeye musical movie. The construction of the so-called Popeye Village, primarily named Sweethaven, was influenced by the comics of E.C. Segar and it is a village where Popeye comes back in hope of finding his father. Today the village is a very popular family fun park where you can meet characters such as Popeye, Olive and Wimpy, go on a boat trip around the village bay or watch various shows performed each day of the week. The entrance fee to Popeye Village is 16€ and it includes every activity in the park except food – and you get a free glass of wine at the entrance!

Green Lake, Austria

Also known as Grüner See (in German), Green Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe because of its crystal emerald-green water. However, that is not why it deserved a spot in our list of unusual places. This lake is actually made out of the snowmelt from Hochschwab Mountains. Every summer, due to high temperatures it dries up and again in spring the park fills up with water, sometimes even up to 12 metres of depth! The lake was a hotspot for scuba divers which were exploring the underwater park (you could even see benches and trails!) but unfortunately, diving or any other kind of water activity has been prohibited since last year because of the potential environment pollution.

Giethoorn, the Netherlands

What would you say if you needed to live in a place which has no roads at all? Impossible, right? Well, you were wrong. Fairytale-like village of Giethoorn is situated in Holland, in Overijssel province to be precise. It is a village entirely built on tiny islands connected by canals and over 180 wooden bridges. Popularly called the Dutch Venice, Giethoorn has been attracting tourists for decades but those who live there are even more lucky. The usual day in not so usual village consists of regular boat rides and every island has a walking path along the canals. Make sure you visit Giethoorn ‘t Olde Maat Uus Museum where you can see how the life in Giethoorn used to look like few centuries ago. All in all, we can agree on one thing for sure – it truly is an amazing place to visit!

Pamukkale, Turkey

Okay, it may not be in “European” part of Turkey, but it certainly deserves to be on this list. Pamukkale, or Cotton Castle, is yet another natural reserve which makes people think “how is it even possible that something like that exists?” This natural site in Denizli, Turkey is one of most visited attractions in this country. Pamukkale is known for its thermal springs and white travertine terraces. The temperature in hot springs ranges from 35 °C up to boiling 100°C and most of them are not accessible to tourists. Tourists are only allowed to dip their feet in shallow pools and the entire area is shoe-free – which means you need to walk barefoot since these springs can easily get polluted.

Mont Saint Michel, France

This unique fortified “town” on an island is one of France’s most iconic landmarks and each year more than three million tourists decide to pick Mont Saint Michel as their destination. The Mont, as many like to call it, was also listed as UNESCO World Heritage site, more precisely, its bay. Interestingly, the island was accessible only if there was ebb tide but luckily, today is connected to mainland by a bridge. The main attraction on the island is the Benedictine monastery on top of the island hill visited by more than 50 000 pilgrims each year on St Michael’s day. Visit Museum of History with rich collection of old weapons, paintings and sculptures and discover old prisons and cells (Mont Saint Michel used to a prison during the reign of Louis XI). And make sure you leave some time to do souvenir shopping and grab a delicious crêpe – who would have thought there’s so many things to do on such little island?

Holy Trinity Monastery, Kalambaka, Greece

This Eastern Orthodox monastery is probably the most peculiar monastery you’ll ever see. Holy Trinity Monastery is built on the so-called meteora stones whose meaning roughly translates to “in the middle of the sky”. Holy Trinity Monastery is not actually the only one in Greece – there are in total 24 of that kind while only 6 of them are open to visitors. This trend was popular during 14th and 15th century because it made monks believe that in that way they will be closer to God. The monastery can be reached either by climbing the stairs or by road on the neighbouring cliff and then taking a cable-car across the gorge between the two cliffs.

Be Opened.

Allah’s (God’s) strange creation………. human, so strange, so deep in nature.  Sometimes so deep like the ocean, full of suspense.  Sometimes, some facts of their 'nature' look like crystal clear pond.  On the other hand, some of their sides are opaque, hidden in the fog of suspense.  And when they are revealed, a lot of time has been elapsed.  Either we get forward ahead, or they have left us behind.  In relationships, if there is no transparency, but so much opaqueness that we could not see anything.  In this situation, the closing steps lose confidence and stagger, and the grip of hands weakens resulting the cracks in relationships.

So, would it not be wise to be opened, cleared, understood, when you are in love and want to go ahead in love.  Otherwise, move on to your individual path like stranger?

Where is my Heart?

This is once again a dialogue (Blog) in response to Onee Chan's Writing challenge using

present perfect tense

L: Have you seen my heart honey, I am feeling my chest is empty?

B: You might have dropped somewhere on your way!

L: May be, sure, cause my all ways come to you, maybe I have already given my heart to you and forgot!

B: What do you mean "forgot"? Are there many whom you have been giving your heart and forgetting to whom it's been given?

L: Nnno no. I swear to you there is no one but you.

B: So, how come you say you forgot where you have lost your heart if there is none but me?

L: Oh darling why don't you just say, you have taken my heart.

(B said nothing...................just smiled).

How to own Destiny

My blog in response to Onee's writing challenge, though it contain very few usage of perfect tense.

There had been a very famous Sufi, Poet and Herbalist, after which his nick name was Attar (Attar mean herbalist, druggist, perfumer and Alchemist).  He was basically a poet, then he turned to Sufiism.   There is a story behind how he was turned to the Sufiism.

Abu Hamid Bain Abu Bakr Ibrahim (Attar) once was in his shop which was full of all kind of merchandises relating to his profession and he was checking and writing in a register.  While he was very much drowned in his work, a Qalandar*.  He attired himself with a shawl of rug and very poor clothes.

The qalandar called Attar, “O Attar, how so you are drown in your business and merchandize! How will you die?”

Attar raised his face and (considering the qalandar as some beggar) said very indifferently, “Like you will die.”

“Oh, is that so!”

The qalandar saying this lied down on the pavement and covered himself with his shawl of rug.

Attar got busy and when had passed all his day in dealing with his customers.  He realized in the evening that the qalandar was still lying on the payment.  He climbed down his shop and got closed to the qalandar.  He called him many times, but the qalandar didn’t move. He uncovered the face of the qalandar and shocked to see that the qalandar had died.

He immediately realized that the qalandar had passed away giving him the ‘message’.

It is said that the Attar then closed his shop and then turned to the Sufiism and the spirituality.

If we adopt the straight path of love of our Creator, He has vowed that He will give the destiny in our hand.

*(Qalandar is a title given to a saint who is at a very high level of spirituality. They are different from other saints and have very strong feelings of love for God's creation. Qalandars, among the saints, are those persons who may enjoy freedom from the ties and bounds of time and space.)

Explanation to my Status

"The song you didn't listen to was the struggle of life time. It was the story of pain which you laughed out loud"

Eva, Saba and Onee, it is very simple, there is no complicacy, okay, you will understand when I explain this:

A person when falls in love, his utmost desire is to confess before the beloved.  The lover gathers all his/her zest, enthusiasm and energy (the struggle of life time to do this). But when confesses (sings) his love, the beloved does not pay much attention to it.

Love, though such a charming aspect of once life, but it is full of pain, (though a sadistic one), and all the happening of love is a (painful story), but again when he confesses before the beloved, his “story of pain” (confession of love) is “laughed out loud”.

Hope you people have now understood.

You Love More Than Your God, Me

Be warn it may be the sad story of me

The tears, may be the memento for me

Which I am clearly seeing from your eyes

May you be wanting to hide from me?

I know I am surrounded by mirages

Again, I run after if it is love for me.

How I have left from your city dejected

This is not migration but disaster for me.

The way the dejection always comes to me

As it is madly in love with me

I will not tell anybody

You love more than your god, me

The First drop of Rain

It is on the motivation of 'dara's" blog Rain, this blog came into being.  Thanks dara.

After a very hot day when the dark clouds come and overcast the scorching sky the thirsty sands and mud on the hot ground give its smell with the first drop of the rain.  It is like the entire surrounding is performing the ritual of ablution. I imagine myself to be on the path where there is no traffic around but the green trees on both sides of the road waving with the wind. At the distance far away, all along the way the trees look as if the Nature in green dress dancing. At such moment I wish to come into the rain and spread my arms in the wind, looking up to the sky and take all the love of Nature into my body. I feel like being in the lap of Mother Nature and it is swinging me and at the same time singing for me the sweet song of love and affection. I wish to forget everything; feel just me and the nature. To love is in the instinct of all beings, just as it is in the instinct of the Nature.  Who can stop the first drop of rain to drop down on the earth and the sand on the earth to give out its fragrance combining with the drops of rains because it is in its instinct.

Childlike Temperament of Love

What a childishness is there in the temperament of love, that how strong and old it has come, it always needs a verbal confess.

No matter how it flourish in the depth of the loving heart, no matter how it transpires from the eyes, and shines in the blood running in the veins, and shines on the canvas of life like a beautiful picture, still it needs the words of confession coming out of your lips and moves on the frequencies of music to touch the ears of the beloved, hearing this, every time the smile blossoms on the lips of the beloved make them feel as they have just fallen in love with each other.

In this way Love requires the evidence, to witness itself in confession that it is existing there very much alive not only in heart but also on the lips.  As if a child sows a seed in the evening and gets so impatient to go and see in the night to see whether it has to start rooting.

Love has such a childlike temperament that it does not get bored listening the confession again and again and again, it does not get tired, still demands the to hear the words when someone is going away or coming to meet, that it wants to listen to the words “I love you, I love you”

I am a Liar!

Silly! Who said I remember you

You are just a credulous

You misunderstood the redness in my eye

Is because of I am missing you,

My sleepless nights are because I am dreaming you.

But you must know the inflammation in my eyes

Is because of the polluted air.

Silly! Who said I do not sleep the entire night,

It is because of my preoccupation in life……..

Not because I love you.

This tremble in my voice, is because I sometimes

Lost in my thoughts……….thoughts of daily occupations.

There are other pains, other problems of life besides love

You comes after all these.

Who said to you I remember you.

The people are crazy, they still think I am mad in love with you,

Who said……………………but may be I AM A LIAR,

I am broken to pieces.

Following is my submission on Onee Chan's motivation.

It was a long time ago when I was looking for a job. One of my relatives asked me to visit his house to talk about this how could he help me. He directed me how to reach his house which was situated in a locality of lower middle class where all the houses were on the roadside.  I reached the area and started to count down the houses to find the one where he lived.  I saw a house which looked to be very similar as I was told and at once raise the curtain and entered the house………………but stopped and shocked to see some ladies in the room who were looking at me suspiciously with wide opened eyes in panic.  I entered the wrong house.  That was a very awkward situation for me because it is not considered a good manner to enter a house like I did.  I got nervous and before they start shouting, I stammered for their forgiveness and told them the whole misunderstanding. Those were the most embarrassing moments of my life, because if there were any men in the house…………………...you can imagine my condition! Seeing them softened I at once paced backward and ran out.

Ablution is a term referring to washing for the purpose of ritual purification for performing prayers within various religions traditions.

Ablutions of one sort or another are practiced in nearly every religious tradition, ranging from hand-washing before eating in the Jewish tradition to baptism in the Christian tradition, ritual washing before prayers in Islam, and bathing in the Ganges River in Hinduism.

A priest engages in the ritual of foot washing,

practiced in many Christian churches

Ablution in Christianity

Christian ablution refers to the practice of removing sins, diseases or unchastity through the use of ritual washing (ablution), or the practice of using ritual washing as one part of a ceremony to remove sin or disease:

Baptism: The act of sprinkling of water over a new believer, symbolizing his or her rebirth as a member of the Christian church, or mystical body of Christ.

Blessing: The sprinkling of holy water over a person or congregation, symbolizing the conveying of God's blessing upon them.

A believer is baptized into the Christian church.

Ablution in Judaism

Ablution takes two main forms in Judaism: full body immersion in a (ritual bath) or body of "living water," and  washing the hands, especially with a cup.

A mikveh, or ritual bath, in Speyer, Germany’

 dating to the twelfth century

Traditional Judaism requires certain other types of ritual washing. Those that do not require complete immersion include:

  • Negel vasser("Nail water"). When getting up in the morning after a full night's sleep, or even after a lengthy nap, there is the custom to wash one's hands ritually by pouring a large cup of water over one's fingers, alternating three times. In the custom of some communities, it is also done after engaging in sexual intercourse or other seminal emission.

  • Netilat yadayim("Raising the hands"). This is done with a blessing prior to eating any bread with a meal, and done without a blessing after touching a ritually impure object, such as one's private parts, leather shoes, an insect or animal, or after paying a visit to a cemetery.

  • Mayim acharonim("After-waters"). This is the law or custom of ritually washing off one's fingers after a meal, to protect oneself from touching the eyes with hazardous residue.

  • Before blessing of Asher yatzar: After having either urinated or defecated, the ritual washing of one's hands as a symbol of both bodily cleanliness and of removing human impurity. (This is also practiced in Islam).

  • To remove tuma("impurity") after cutting one's hair or nails.

  • To remove tumat meit("impurity from death") after participating in a funeral procession, or entering a cemetery, or coming wihtin four cubits of a corpse.

Others types of washing require full immersion in special a body of water, such as a spring, stream, or mikva. These include:

  • Ablutions by a married Jewish woman following menstruation or other uterine bleeding when she wishes to resume conjugal relations with her husband. (This is also practiced in Islam).
  • Bathing the day before Yom Kippur and other Festivals, (like Eids in Islam).
  • Bathing many Orthodox Jews on Friday afternoons in preparation for the Sabbath. (Like in Islam before Jumma Prayer).
  • A purifying bath when converting to Judaism, the origin of the Christian tradition of baptism.
  • Tahara, ("Purification"), the ritual washing and cleansing of a Jew's body prior to burial. (This is also practiced in Islam).

Ablution in Islam

The Islamic act of washing parts of the body using water is called wudu (Ablution in English). Muslims are required to perform wudu in preparation for ritual prayers and for handling and reading the Qur'an. Wudu is often translated as "partial ablution," as opposed to ghusl, or "full ablution."

Washing before prayer in Pakistan

There are other acts that are performed during wudu (coming from the sunnah of Muhammad(pbuh) and Sunni Islamic scholars) and the detailed acts of the wudu can be classed into three types: Farāid al-wudu - seven fard (obligatory) acts. If one of these acts is omitted, it must be returned to and then completed in the successive acts to be performed.

  • Making the intention.
  • Washing the face.
  • Washing the arms.
  • Wiping the head (in the manner of anointment).
  • Wiping the feet to the ankles.
  • Rubbing thoroughly when washing.
  • Not interrupting wudu.

Sunan al-wudu - seven sunnah (Optional - practiced by Muhammad (PBUH) according to Sunni Hadiths) acts. If one of these acts is omitted, it should be completed.

  • Washing the hands.
  • Rinsing the mouth.
  • Sniffing water - and blowing it out the nose
  • Wetting the hands to rub the ears.
  • Rubbing the ears.
  • Doing the acts of ablution in proper order.

Mustahabbāt al-wudu - a handful of mustahab (recommended) acts that are considered to make the wudu better. If one of these acts is omitted, the wudu is still considered valid.

  • Reciting the bismillah before commencement of wudu
  • Reciting the shahadah after the ablution
  • Brushing the teeth before ablution.
  • Repetition of each act three times.
  • Choosing a clean place for ablution.
  • Not wasting water in ablution.

Other than the need to be ritually clean in time for the daily prayer (Salah) through wudu (Ablution) and ghusl, there are a large number of other hygiene-related rules governing the lives of Muslims.
