For me I find it good to write based on my personal experience of the topic if I actually had an experience of it because then the sound of my words become intimate and real like writing a diary, it comes out as natural and spontaneous. Anyway that is just speaking from how I write, I feel it presents itself more relatable to others because they also have that same experience or something like it.
