The interview with cat.

The interview with the cat.

When I think back to the time when I met her. I think I wasn't surprised. Normally u should be surprised, when you meet a talking cat and even more, when you find out that it was human before. But I wasn't. Maybe it was because we were communicating in English that isn't our native language, for neither of us.In the interview day, when I arrived to the office of pet society. She was already waiting for me. Unlucky me, I was 10 minutes late. I hoped she won't notice, but how wrong I was! She looked seriously upset for those wasted 10 minutes, that she could have had a nap. Anyway the following is the Interview. I hope u will enjoy it.

Yummy, when you turned into cat, then what was your first reaction and what did you do?

Me:

The first reaction was: I felt strange in my body, and my feelings, I can hear something that can't be heard by humans, more noisy. To eliminate the noise, I have to sleep so that I could get used to the atmosphere.

Cat

Now when you are a cat. Do you feel any differently about mouses?

Me:

Sure I Like them and I'm happy, because they're one of my toys, but in reality I hate them…oh hardi when I realized that I had to eat them, I felt sick and disgusted. (wont to vomit)

Cat:

You have a cat by your self.. a kitten right? What was his reaction about you turning into cat? Did he accept you?

Me:

Yes I have a kitten, I'm like his mother…he's always happy when I'm cat and he would shout “ MY souLLLL!!!” and he approached me lovely.

Cat

What do you think about dogs?

Me:

Dog?? Hmmm they are always proud with their teeth and scratches….their moans make us (cats) afraid. Actually I Love dogs. They are very nice to human, especially to their master, but not to cat. We (cats) are always confused to start to communicate with them, because they always show their teeth, that makes us scare…I don’t know. Fear comes by itself .Whereas they are good animals, but I've never met a dog who's nice to cat.

Cat:

Can you tell why did this happen to you? Was it your wish to turn into cat? Or perhaps it's the doing of some bad fairies?

Hardi

(Here the interview was disrupted by strange voice)

Who are you calling bad? It's not me. It's all that Sossenbargel's fault!
strange voice:
Eeee what was that? did you hear it too Yummy?
Me:
I think it came from that closet.
Cat: (nodding)
No it didn't.
Strange voice:
Hey, I know what I heard! Don't argue with me!
Cat:
I don't!
Strange voice:
What did you mean by "It's all that Sossenbargel's fault!"?
Me:
How rude of you, playing with other's names. It's Josef Sossenbargel not some sossen-posser!
Strange voice:
You mean Josef Essenberg?
Me:
That's what I said.
Strange voice:
No you said Sossenbargel.
Me:
No I didn't!
Strange voice:

(A loud noise and swearing from the closet.)
I walked over the room to the closet and opened it's door. A flow of smoke came out and made me cough, the smoke detector started to wail, but fade with piercing yell, like a beaten dog. The smoke cleaned and I could see. There he was. Siting in the pot of hot water. He was taking a bath! Hahaha! He had made a fire under the pot for heating. That's why all that smoke. But he didn't let me to be surprised for long. He yelled: "How rude! Can't you at least knock before coming in! You pervert! But no! He just does what he thinks fit! You like to peep aren't you!? You stupid! If you wanted to join, u should have asked first!" He slammed the door close. While still muttering "Letting all good stuff out! Stupid-stupd poop Hardi!" I Don't know, was it really a fairy. It looked like a goblin to me. All sooty with some few spots of cleaner, green skin. I thought that it's better, if I just continue the interview like nothing happened..

(The interview continues.)

What is the most popular topic in the cats circle now? Can you tell us some interesting rumors you have heard?

Hardi

Our conversations are not far from love, eating, most comfortable bed, and are our masters good or not. Sometime they ask "where to find the bones?" "how to make a manly groan with good?" "how many rats did you catch?" an interesting topic for us is the "cat burglar" it was clearly a very embarrassing thing for us. It shows that they didn’t have home or good master.

Cat:

Now as for the last question. Do u have some message to tell us as a cat?

Me:

The cat half opened one eye and stared at me throughly, then stretched her body and stated: "Here our interview ends, not because of the closet-guy's disruption, but it's just that you're too disgustful even for a dog. My god! What are you doing! Learn some manners. How are you acting in front of a lady. Yuck!" Then, while walking away she stopped for moment and said: "Oh yeah and about the message to humans.. Something like this would be fitting."

Do not be late to provide food to cats, give them caress and make them purr. Always yield and be free of anger. Cat's are very happy when someone shares own life with them... they are also good listeners.

Cat:

Hey did she call me a dog!??? Hey wait! Wait a moment!.. Hey I am a dog! Hey??? What? Was I human before?? Really??? What did she mean by not having manners??.. Is it really rude when I'm doing this? But I have to do something about this itching feeling.. Aren't everyone doing so when it's itching! She is just picking fight with me isn't. woof! woof! Oh well, actually I don't care. (Suddenly I felt like catching my tail. It was really fun! Hey, let's do it together! woof! )

Wednesday 21 October's report!

Dear Santa Claus. Today I was again a good boy.. Errr. No, not that report.Although we already have had temperature around 3°C and first sleet. Today's weather was very nice. In morning the sky was clean and sun was shining. Even though, clouds accumulated by day, the over all weather was still good. 9°C warmth and only little wind.. Well I would have liked even less wind though. So then, I didn't let this weather to go waste, and took my camera and went to cycling.. Bitter pill was that the lift was broken, but what does carrying bicycle down by stairs from 9th floor matters, when it might be last sunny day of this autumn.. Well I hope there will be still many nice bicycling days for this year. :)Here are some photos I took. Unfortunately I did let go the best chances to capture nicest scenery. I just thought that there will be even more heartbreakingly beautiful sceneries to capture, and didn't stop to take camera out, but latter I regretted it, because it seems those first ones in very beginning were the best. Because latter sun hided too much into clouds and the golden yellow birches didn't look so bright and golden anymore.. Only in last, when I was almost back in town the sun came again out a little. The autumn forest is very beautiful together with long contrast shadows, created by low sun.. Oh well, enough tears shed over spilled milk. I share at least best, what I got, although I'm not satisfied.. I love landscapes, but It seems I can't capture them well. I think the most interesting ones are actually those that have my own shadow on.

Creepy

A man was killed on Tuesday in my house's basement. He was beaten with iron pipe and he died latter in hospital. He was one of my house's inhabitant from 8th floor. I don't know most of my neighbors. I didn't know also him, though I live next 9th. floor.2 men suspected for murder and for owning amphetamine were catch 2 days latter. They were trying to escape by cars, police chased them through of the town and had also to use gun.The creepy thing is that the murder happened on middle of day in my own house, when there was still people around. Maybe not so many people were home, because most people work, but.. there is a school near and classes were already over... It doesn't feel safe. There can someone kill someone just when you don't look, when you turn back and walk out from house and you even don't know that there was a murder. And what would have been happened when you happened to witness it, would you have been killed as well? If someone went to basement at that moment... The mobile phone wont reach there well, so can't call police too.. I even don't have phone.

Cycling!

The most efficient vehicle.

In consideration of the current economy recession. It's time to think about commuting more efficiently. That is by bicycle. Bicycle is a very efficient way of transportation, in both, mechanical and biological means. From mechanical viewpoint, the bicycles efficiency can be up to 99%! Which means, that up to 99% of energy, that you transmit to pedals, will be delivered to wheels.. :DFrom biological viewpoint: A human traveling by bicycle at speed of 15 to 24 kilometers per hour, is using the same amount of energy required to walking!Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle_performanceWell beside of being extraordinarily energy efficient. Bicycle also require less space for parking slot than a car. U don't have to worry about finding free parking slot near your home, u can take it even into your bedroom with you. That's what I do. :)It sounds just as like a pipe dream? Aspiration of some bicycle crazies?Well it seems so. I only bicycle for fun and as for exercise. I can't use my valuable bicycle for every day commute. I'm afraid of thieves, I can't leave it somewhere. I should carry so many locks with me, to lock it properly.. Lock also wheels that have quickreleases and saddle that is also mounted with quickrelease.. And there should be 2 different types of locks for everything. If thief can handle one type. He might not have tools for other. :) Or maybe I just should keep another invaluable bike to commute in town. The one, that thieves are not interested in? Anyways I think it feels much better to ride a bicycle, than a motorcycle or car. Well I have easy to talk. I don't have a car nor driver license or money to get them. But I have driven little of with them. It's not so interesting. There's many different types of bicycles for different purpose of use. With large range of prices. It seems that reasonable bikes start with price of roughly something 500$. Or maybe little less? Well It seems In Estonia they have about 100$ higher price than example in USA.. (all the transportation fees and so on) So in USA the prices of rideable bicycle maybe start with roughly 400$ maybe..? Cheaper ones are often too terrible to ride, they are sometimes called as "bicycle shaped object". Then there are different types of bicycles. Mountain bikes, city bikes, hybrid bikes, road bikes, cruisers, working bikes and so on. Some have less gears, some more gears, some weight more, some less... Well Mountain bike have slow gears, so it's not good for flat city road, it's only good for deep slopes in mountains.. City bikes looks often like mountain bikes, but they have higher gears. But often they also offer some horrible, heavy and unrideable things as city bike. Hybrids are a combination of something - mountain, city, and road bike. They are lighter than mountain bikes, they have little faster gears, but have also enough slow gears, and they have big 700cc wheels similar to road bikes. Road bike is light weight bike with 700cc wheels and aero handlebar, meant to drive fast in good road.I bought my current bicycle on last autumn. I had a old mountain bike before. It was good bike too, but I got tired of pedaling a slow gear mountain bike in flat roads. This time I chosed to buy a hybrid bicycle. There was 3 different choices, that I had to chose between. Well I was first going to buy Scott Sportster P5, but then, in end I bought Wheeler cross 36 because there wasn't my size of Scott's P5 in store, I had to order it. And Wheeler had suspended seat post and also front(fork's) suspension did look better to me. I'm not sure, if it's really better, But also price was cheaper. I thought that the store that was dealing with Scott's bikes, surely had added some little extra to prices, since it's a well known trademark.Well. Obviously my bike's suspension is still cheap for rally. I mean, it doesn't have lockout function. First it did jump on road like nut when pushing too hard to pedals, but I got it rideable by adjusting suspension's preload to it's maximum.. well I think it's okay. It's very good bike for me. It doesn't feel as firm and controllable as my old suspensionless mountain bike did. In high speed when trying to pedal very fast and hard, it felt a bit unpredictable. I think it can be, because I haven't found the best adjustment for handlebar and saddle. I don't know the best adjustment for hybrid bike. Or maybe the suspended seatpost's suspension takes also some stiffness away, so it don't let me to feel the right "response". I replaced the original saddle with a thinner and harder one from my old bike, now it's better... But suspension is good thing. Some roads here are so bad too. That without it, it's a pain to cycle. I didn't dare to push it over the speed of 60 km per hour. That was with little help of wind, on down hill. It didn't had enough stability.. but I think there's no need to go that fast also. There were some chicks who were passing by of me with their road bikes, on uphill, but well I need to stay calm and think that I'm just so nice guy that I'm letting them by, and not that I couldn't go as fast .I didn't had enough money to get all accessories together with bike from start. I have heard, that when buying a bicycle then 1/3 of it's price is bicycle, the rest 2/3 u should have to spend for accessories, especially for clothes. They say that better buy a cheaper bicycle and good accessories.. Not a very expensive bicycle and no right clothing. I only bought mudguards and bike together, rest I had to buy bit by bit. And some things I had before. And some got from old bike. Since it was almost winter and dark. I had to get lights too, because of the order of law. And then rain and wind resistant jacket and tights, but that wasn't enough to be able to ride in winter. I also needed studded tires, because of ice. But I didn't buy them, I had too few money. :) So I couldn't cycle in this winter almost at all. There was also too many dead animals on roads. It took the pleasure away. Well there's many things u need to buy beside of a bicycle, especially when want to ride also in bad weather. The most important are probably padded pants.. They have invented so many different things, that make cycling more enjoyable. There were even electrical shoe sole warmers that work with rechargeable batteries. But yeah. Most of things were so expensive.Well...

Pros and cons.

Pros:1. It's cheaper than car.2. It doesn't pollute air.3. It makes you lose extra weight.4. U feel good after a ride as like after a exercise.5. U have a excuse why to wear tights or even better a skinsuit :P6. People will smile to you more, especially in bad weather.7. U can park it to your bed room.8. It's more fun to go to a trip to green near the town by bicycle.9. It's faster than walking.10. It doesn't consume gasoline.Cons.1. It's still expensive.2. U get tired when cycle too long.3. U have to wear embarrassing revealing clothes (everyone see how fat you are) to enjoy and feel comfortable in bicycle saddle. (Well actually they make different cycling clothes too, but you don't want those right?!)4. There's not enough safe bicycle lanes/roads.5. U have to carry a big bag on your bike with many locks to keep your bike from thieves.6. There are many dead animals in road that make you feel sick......I can't think more now.

Inkscape introduction.

PageHeader

Preface.

F
irst time when I came across with an vector graphic editor. There wasn't any good tutorial, there wasn't even Inkscape yet. There was Sodipodi instead. I thought then, that when I learn to use it, I will write an tutorial by my self. Now time have fled. New tutorials and manuals have appeared. The Inkscape was born. But I feel, I'm still not competent enough. Now there isn't any need to write an tutorial by myself anymore. But I already had decided to do it and I want to see if I'm actually able to write it.

For starters.

ScreenShot
I
nkscape is an open source vector-graphic editor, that can be freely downloaded from Inkscape's homepage. Or when you use Linux. U would install it with one or two mouse-click on your package manager. When you start Inkscape. The window, that is very similar to the screenshot on the right, will appear. At the top of the window, directly below the menu bar, is command-bar. And directly below the command-bar, is tool control bar. At left side, you can see the vertical toolbox.
The most important tools in toolbox are: Selector Selector Node editing tool Node Rectangle drawing tool Rectangle Round drawing tool Round And star drawing tool starWith selector, u can select, move, resize, flip and rotate objects/paths. U can also send them lower or raise up. Node editing tool is also very important. With that u can modify all objects and paths. As the name suggests, star, rectangle and round drawing tools are meant to draw round, star and rectangle shaped objects. Most fun is star drawing tool. That is because of it's randomness availability. From star drawing tool's control-bar(The horizontal tool's control bar at up) You can change the numbers of star's spikes, spoke ratio(length of spikes), roundness and randomness. You can write desired values into those text boxes on control bar or Increasing/decreasing them by clicking those small arrows or choosing values from list, by right-clicking on that box. These parameters can also be modified by dragging those control nodes at edge. When you hold town shift, control or alt key. You can change different parameters by dragging them.
from left. 1) An normal star. 2) Six spoked star with too much roundness applied. 3) Little rounded star with few randomness.PS. When you want to create an proportional object(example square) hold control key down while dragging(sizing/resizing).To edit path's and object's fill and/or stroke color, gradient and etc. click to button on command bar. A panel for fill and stroke editing will appear at right(If it wasn't there already). There u can change selected object's fill and stroke color. U can chose also between no color(transparent), flat color, linear gradient, radial gradient and etc.The direction, range and ellipticity(for radial gradient) can be edited with node editing tool. Node , or by gradient editing/creating tool by dragging those little dot's. The square dot represents the start point of a gradient(center of radial gradient on this pic) and rounded one(s) the end(s). When selecting one dot with gradient editing tool u can change the color of gradient at that stop. With double click on line that connects dots, u can add more stops. Now these objects are all nice and so, but it doesn't look like they could have much use when it comes to draw an human body. Actually that's not true. All object's can be converted into paths and then edited into what ever shape by node editing tool, joined(united) together with other paths and so on. Of course a path can be drawn also with pencil (freehand drawing tool) from the root. But it's much more convenient. To put things together from rounds and rectangles. To convert an object into path, select it with node editing tool and then click to the object to path converting button at tool control bar. Now you can change the shape of the path by dragging, adding, deleting these small dot's(nodes) at the edges of your path(figure). You can also change the shape of the path by grabbing from path's edge with node editing tool. (When the cursor is in range where path (an figure's edge) can be grabbed, cursor's shape will change from to ) Double click there will insert a node. When you click once, nearest nodes from both sides will get selected. U can delete any selected node by pressing delete key on keyboard. The nodes can be changed to corner, smooth or to symmetric ones, when holding the control key down and clicking on them. Same can be applied also from tool control bar.

Drawing an creature.

A
ctually I have no idea how to draw an creature. So I can't teach that. But I won't admit it. If possible don't use stroke paint. Strokes can't be choppy. They have one width for the whole length. Use filled paths instead. It takes more time, but the result is better. To draw an human head, it's obvious, that the best way is to draw a round first. And then change it into path by clicking to object to path converting button at node editing tools control bar, or choosing "Object to path" from path menu. Next add some more nodes. U can do that by double clicking at edges or by selecting all nodes and then clicking to node inserting button at tool control bar. To select multiple nodes. Drag over desired nodes, or hold shift key down and then click one by one to nodes that u want select/deselect. Modify the shape by dragging nodes and edges until u get desired shape of head. Something like u can see at right. Hopefully a nicer one :) Damn it! Did I already told all that before? ..But it would be pity to delete now.< :-)There is an easy, quick way to make shades. They will be not best, but u don't have to drag nodes around. Duplicate the object that needs shaded and cut the shade out from that double. To do it. Click to Duplicating button at the command bar. Move the double into an free are and then duplicate it once again. Change the color of the new double so that they will become distinguishable from each other. Slightly move the new one, so that an desired shade shaped area of the double will become visible from behind. Select both doubles again and then chose Division from Path menu. Because the division creates too much nodes to the line, where it cuts. It's recommended to click also simplify from path menu. Select the piece that will become into shadow and move it into place and change it's color to darker one.. The piece that was left can be delete. Select it and press delete key.
Simple shaped(radial or linear) shadows, example hair line on picture below, can be made with gradient tool. Also Blushing (red cheeks) can be easily done with gradient. All body parts and things: eyes, brows, hairs, nose, mouth, hands and so on. can be shaped out from rounds and rectangles. It's very convenient to build body from ellipsoids.
I actually wanted to draw an face of girl, but made somewhere some mistake and got an face of somewhat feminine guy. Oh well that's what happens when trying to do, too many things simultaneously.

Afterword.

S
ince I already wrote the preface, then I have to write some after words too isn't. Here they are: Damn it! I will never write any Introductions, again. It's already too annoying to correct my typos, grammar errors and all other things that I make. But there is also my lack of experience to write an Introduction. It already makes me mad when I think, how some certain guys might read this and laugh at me... Well I still believe, that I'm better than all those laughters. LOL. Just kidding. Actually it's just that I have nothing to say anymore. Because I'm done with this "introducing" thing. And I'm too lazy to correct errors now. So I just goofing off, by writing more errors into this after word, that I have to correct later. I had fun with drawing and doing page layout. I'm satisfied with the illustration at page footer. That was the first thing I drew after page header. SnowmanThe blue haired boy with nerd-antenna, is drawn last. I don't like it so much. I wanted to draw an girl, but made some mistake. I changed it into an boy, but still wasn't satisfied. As for revenge, I made that creature into even more foolish looking boy with silly smile.. But I still wasn't satisfied.

The End

Updating to KDE 4.2, Sucess! :)

I wanted to update as soon when The new KDE 4.2 was released at January 27. But because I don't count myself as a big expert of Computer.. Although many people think I'm the one. Really I'm not. Yes I'm using Linux. But when taking manuals away. I'm helpless. I'm not the true Computer guy. Maybe I just dislike Microsoft's unfriendly licensing policy. Anyway. Now it seems, that Everything is working after full system update, together with the KDE update. And I'm happy about that. The new KDE Looks wonderful! :)I didn't expect so much progression of it. I was like: "Maybe I will get just some, another silly special 3D effects and that's all". But it's really much better now!

Formatting the blog entry.

I noticed that when you add a picture to your blog entry. You can specify the position of picture, if the text is wraped around of it, and u can create a thumbail, but it miss one important thing. Margins around the image. Well. It's fine not to have it, since the dialog wouldn't fit to screen with too many opinions. But it adds 0 pixels of clearance as default. In my opinion it doesn't look nice when text douches the picture. In both cases when picture is aranged to left and also when it's on right. The default code, generated by....<img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/2345717675?profile=original" alt="Pigs" width="132" height="74" style="float: left;"/>Result.PigsNo margins parameters added. There isno clearance. You can add those parameters by your self, manualy.Code with 10px margins.<img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/2345717675?profile=original" alt="Pigs" width="132" height="74" style="float: left; margin: 10px 10px;"/>Result. PigsThis is how it looks with 10px margin. It makes 10 pixels clearance totop, bottom, left and right of the pic.Hmmm. Well maybe it would be better to add margins parameters for text instead.. I guess I have to learn little more about html. I have forgoten soo much.. The reference for html tags can be find at http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_byfunc.aspI also looked if there is some good reference at ning.com, but as exepted. I didn't find much tips from there. It seems Josef have chosen the appearence of how our pages will look for us. At least I could not chose appearance of my page from settings. I think it's good choiche to do so, since it might became very chaotic when everyone makes own page look too crazy. Well I hope he will chose also some CSS for us, that can be used for formating text nicely. I don't know what kind of elements I would like to see, but I think it would be cool to have some.Maybe this kind of stuff:<p class="note">Remember to brush you tooths before u bite.</p>I'm not sure what it's appearance as result should be, but... It would be surely more fun to have such things.Well I'm not sure. Maybe I can use some of CSS already now. I have forgoten so much. It was some years ago when I tried to learn it. But as I remember classes had to be defined in page head, not somewhere in middle. Wasn't it so?

Drawing some character.

Beside of watching Animes and doing nothing. I like sometimes to draw something. Usually it's some unknown Anime/cartoon-like caracter. It's easier to draw those, because when some limb happens to gome out too big, or bigger than it's partner, when whole posture looks like it falls down. I can allways say, that it's just a feature, not an error. Although when drawing with computer. Mistakes are easyer to fix. Especially when using vector graphic editor like Inkscape. I still have big trouble to draw. I guess I'm no good with observating things. But maybe that's why I like it. It's fun of thinking how this shadow should be, or how much I need to shade. How a thing would look from an angle. Shading Is sometime really difficult for me. I think I'm often too moderate with it. Somehow I can't make myself to make shades stronger/widder. It's also partially because it's difficult to draw them like I want in Inkscape.. Making the unregular-shaped shadows to blend is annoying.DrawingWell this time I ended up to draw this cute character in right. I think It goes well with current fashion. Since people should be all annoyed with bad news, with economy's low standing and all that. They should love to see it. So no violence and sex this time.Just kidding! Actually I planned to draw a lot of pornography and bloody sceenes of killing, to get more polularity and more hits to my blog, but I failed. Yes, my bad for being so unmanly, to draw such cute things. But it can't be helped.Actually when I was kid I used to draw onlymonsters (actually I did draw flowers too). But even when I added a lot of red color, chainsaws, drills and other terrifying things. No one whom I showed it. Didn't actually tremble in fear.Soh that means I have no other choiche but to admit, that I actually like cute things. Cute monsters, cute animals, cute kidds, flowers and all that. Poor me I already Imagine how my blog visitors will start throw things at me. Go away you sissy! We want blood and ugly monsters! LOLL.I wanted to draw also the backround. That would go with the character, but it didn't gome out as good as I wanted. I thought that I need to add a yellow cat also to picture, but it was too difficult to draw. I pretty much failed to draw a good one. I haven't practiced to draw cats so long. Last time I did draw an cat, was when I was 12 years old. And even then I almost rubbed the hole into paper with eraser. Well if I couldn't do that well as a kid, then how should I be abble to do it now. Black cat would be of course easier to draw. Then I would only need to draw the siluete and eyes. But drawing a yellow cat is easy only when that cat is in bitch-black room with eyes closed. Bench
