Dear teachers and friends, could you please leave your comment on  my first essay below? Thank you.

In this century, most people in many part of the world have mobiles phones. It is important to have one in their home. Nowadays, it is hard for people to live without mobile phones. Even though some people say, mobile phones should be banned in public places. In my opinion banning mobile phone does not make sense. What if some emergency occurred? People cannot call for help because the mobile phone is banned, so it would be tragic.

Firstly, mobile phones are useful at the time of emergency. As people know, accidents could happen anywhere and anytime, so with the help of a mobile phone, people could contact for help easily. For example, if children are sick at school, the teacher could call their parents, or on occasion if people are driving and suddenly have a flat tyre, they can contact someone for help. Moreover, in case that people see an accident on the road, they can call the police or ambulance quickly.

Secondly, mobile phones are great entertainment to accompany people in public places. They can listen to the music, play games, read news and send and check email. For instance, when people are stranded in the airport, have a long trip on the train or wait for someone in the coffee shop, they won’t be bored because they have mobile phones. However, they must remember to plug in their earphones when they listen to the music or play games, so that they won't disturb people around them.

Finally, mobile phones are helpful to keep in touch with family or friends, whether here or overseas. They can call or text each other anytime. For instance, if one of friends need to be picked up, they can call to remind them or to call families overseas when they miss them. However, in case that they use a mobile phone in a public place, they must speak softly.

To sum up, mobile phones should not be banned in public places. They are useful in emergency situation area, great entertainment and are helpful to keep in touch. Furthermore, in my opinion people cannot live without mobile phone in this global era. However, when they are in public places, they must use them appropriately and avoid disturbing others.
