Learning activities available via skype

What kind of learning activities do you perfomance?

 There are 11 learning activities which could be used in lessons via skype (written from a student's point of view).

1) Learning new grammar (a teacher gives needed materials in advance, a student learns on his own, then a teacher checks, gives some extra explanation and answer questions on difficult points)
2) Practicing (writing/speaking) of constructing of new sentences with new grammar and being checked by a teacher
3) Learning new vocabulary (a teacher gives needed materials in advance, a student learns on his own, then a teacher checks, gives some extra explanation and answer questions on difficult points)
4) Practicing (writing/speaking) of constructing of new sentences with new vocabulary (based on topic/situation/sphere of life) and being checked by a teacher
5) Reading a topic and making comprehension excercises/or answering questions of a teacher
6) Listening to a topic and making comprehension excercises or answering questions of a teacher
7) Playing dialogues in roles with a teacher
8) Writing an essay with new vocabulary (based on topic/situation/sphere of life) and being checked by a teacher
9) Reading a topic aloud and polishing of pronunciation
10) Practicing of making oral presentation
11) Learning etimology and practice of using idioms/proverbs (a teacher gives needed materials in advance, a student learns on his own, then a teacher checks, gives some extra explanation and answer questions on difficult points)

I've decided to improve my pronunciation with help of teachers from italki, my favorite source of finding teachers :) 

And this morning I had a class about f a v sounds in cases when they go together in one word, like in words five, favor, fervent, fever, flavor. And I should say, as always it was fantastic. 

Except learning of how to pronounce sounds correctly, on my opinion, it's important to don't forget about your manner or style, and, of course, the content of your speech. And I think that you shouldn't worry about mistakes of pronunciation in let's call it real speech because the only way of changing habits is to practice fervently when you practice, but when you start speaking in real life, just forgive yourself ahead for all future mistakes and for frivolity to pronounce without thinking much about correctness of pronunciation.

Yes, it's a common theme in the beginning of every January. All of us tend to make new year's resolutions. Just because everybody wants to change his life, more or less. And maybe the ultimate new year's resolution should be to reach a harmony with your life and stop making new year's resolution at all, shouldn't it? 


But, in fact, every year everybody promise to himself stop or start doing something. And me is not an exception. I've fixed 4 goals for this year, not simple one. That's why if I bring into life only a half of these goals it won't be a failure. 


One of them is to improve my English to strongly-advanced level from intermediate which, I guess, is current level of my English. I appreciate your help and hope that your new year's resolution will be realized this year too.
