Language Learning Apps

Have you tried learning English from the apps on your smart phone or mobile device? My daughter loves learning French from the "Baby Flash Cards" app I found for her. We have fun using it together. The French I learned in grade school is coming back to me. It makes me wonder...do we ever really lose a language if we don't use it?Language learning apps can give you something to do while you wait for a plane or a dentist appointment. They are becoming more popular as smart phones take over the world! If you use language learning apps, please share a link or review. (It is important to review apps!) Here are some apps that I know are useful for learning English on-the-go. I helped write the first one. It's pretty difficult, though. It's meant for advanced learners. We weren't allowed to rewrite the articles in easier English.Learn EnglishLearning English with the New York TimesConversation EnglishEnglish at WorkTravel EnglishLearn SpanishSpanish ConversationLearn FrencheFlashFrenchPronunciation FunTom Cat

  • Hi there:

I could recommend you some advantageous applications for learning English If you use a gadget based on Android operating system.

leave your comment about what you want, please!

  • Thanks Karenne! I have to admit I was a bit nervous about posting this (because I know your argument about smartphones) but I can't help thinking these learning apps are going to stick! Plus, we have to get people off using Angry Birds and show them which ones are actually useful like Voxy (can't wait to try it) and BrainPop (FREE!?). :) Anyway, you asked for it by starting this group! That's what I love about you.
  • I just stumbled on this one today from BrainPop. (iPhone iPad) I'm going to try it tonight. A new movie every day!
