A New Day Has Come

Hello all my dear friends! I'd like to take apart in the discussion. I like listening songs, it always makes me happy and it is one of ways I learn English. Celine Dion is my favorite. I m not a singer, of course, I m only a mother of 3 boys. when they were babies, I usually sang for them to make then asleep soon (maybe they should go to bed soon so that their mom stopped singing) OK.. this is A New Day Has Come.

I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Everyone told me to be strong
Hold on and don't shed a tear

Through the darkness and good times
I knew I'd make it through
And the world thought I'd had it all
But I was waiting for you

Hush now I see a light in the sky
Oh it's almost blinding me
I can't believe I've been touched by an angel with love

Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls for a new sun
A new day has come

  • Wow Tulip, you sing it soooooo beautiful! Your voice is touching! I used to listen to this song when i was in highschool :)

  • Wooww, it is a cute puppy! Thank you, dear Anastasia for the nice present. If I'll get the cute puppy again if I sing, I'll do it... :)

Yes, learning English while singing is really fun. Have fun with English songs, Anastasia!

    • If you sing one more song, you will get a fullbox of puppies and kittens from me and Dan. They may be true (alive) as we have a female dog and three female cats! Smile, my dear!

  • Sir ModaWay, I m not like Dan. Dan is a great singer and plays music so well. I can not play music at all. I just look for music on YouTube and then sing the song when the music play. Thanks so much, ModaWay! Thanks for creating this group!

  • Dear Tanya, you know how busy I am taking care the children. But everytime I look at their smile, all my fatigue are paid off (I got the 'paid off' word from your comment too :)). Thanks you so much for your nice comment, Tanya!

    • Dear Tulip! I am sorry but I have to correct both you and Tanya as she made a mistake and didn't notice it. So, it should be "your singing many lullabies _ paid off" and "my fatigue _paid off". This idiom should be used in the active voice.

    • Thank you so much for the correction, Dan! Grammar is one of my weakness beside speaking. I always waiting for your and Tanya's correction! Have a nice day!

    • Dear Tulip! It was my misprint and I didn't even notice it although I always reread  what I type here. Sorry! I will be more attentive

  • Dear Dan, it is the first time I sing here. I never sing in front of others except my children. so, your compliment makes me feel better. Thanks for the flower, Dan. I'll take it home!

  •      Congratulations Tulip! I liked your voice very much! God bless you and your kids! Listening to English songs and singing is really a fun way to practice the language.
