Flowers

We have 10 vases.

The first vase has 7 flowers.

The second one has 9 flowers.

The third and 4th have 8 flowers.

The 5th and 6th and 7th have 1 flower less than the second.

The 8th has 2 flowers less than the second.

The 9th has 1 flower less than 7th.

And the 10th has 10 flowers.

The question is this:

How many vases have 7 flowers?

  • Hi lovely Sahar,

(The first column includes the number of each vase and the second column includes the number of flowers in each vase)

    1 : 7

    2 : 9

    3 : 8

    4 : 8

    5 : 8

    6 : 8

    7 : 8

    8 : 7

    9 : 7

    10:10

So the answer is: 3; three vases have 7 flowers.

    Thanks for the puzzle, dear.

    Have a nice time

    :)

    • Hi Zahra!

      Good!

      Your explanation is very good.

The solution of this question is right exactly, but there is a point in this question that you didn't pay attention to that.

Your answer is exactly right until:

      "So the answer is:"

Please find that point. Then you can answer it easily.

    • Oh!!! What a mistake ! Of course I missed the point.

The answer is :10 vases have 7 flowers!

My previous answer is true if we were asked about the number of vases containing EXACTLY 7 flowers!!! Oops.

Oh, I shouldn't have taken it that easy...hahahaha

Thanks dear Sahar for your nice puzzle.

      I loved it,

      Thanks

      Have a great time
