The Human mind

I'm just testing this feature again. I will do the same from the other group as I have the suspicion that group members don't receive a notification by email when I post a new topic (I've discovered this in the other group, but I would just like to make sure this group still functions correctly). You may ignore the content of this post! But it is still fascinating!

I hope group members can view this attachment. I'll ask YueHan to check it out for me! ;-)

Btw, can the Chinese students read the attachment?! :)

  • Students: if you need an online learning partner, go here and join this group: http://my.englishclub.com/group/learningpartners . Take your time and go through the names; you may find someone with the same goals as you and join them! Or post a note about yourself and which kind of learning partner you are looking for. Come on!

  • Well, Josef and Tara's presence here are basically mostly for administration purposes. So, they wouldn't take part in discussions here (though they are always welcome to, of course). And you are also right that they are very busy. However, students who'd like to contact them, can go directly to their profiles and send them PM's (personal messages) from there. I know they will reply later when they've worked through all the many messages; so, be patient!

About this group, currently it is for students from our university who do not have class with me. So, from next semester you can chat with me in this group if it is of general nature (though I will still keep your current class group and you can use that group too), or leave me a message on my profile. Hope to see you on the website frequently! :)

  • Wow,is this a group for our communication with each other in future?I have noticed Tara and Josef also joined in the group.Maybe I can find a opportunity to send messages with them. But I'm afraid they are too busy to reply me.Because maybe there is a lot of people who want to have a communication with them.

  • Thank you Candy (LXM); now I know who you are! The other Candy is in Class 12-1 and the third one still has to register. I am in XC and I'm waiting for the semester to start! Are you already back at the university? Glad to see you missing me after the final semester scores had gone out ..! Funny, but I miss my students too! ;-)

  • Great to see this group coming together. If you have any questions, let me know!

  • Glad to see you here, Caroline! Now you should leave us a comment on one of the posts - maybe the one about your exciting holiday to tell us what made your holiday so exciting! ;-)

  • This is pilot/experimental group for students from Liao Gongda. I'm doing some trial runs regarding the posting and uploading of lessons. If it works, I plan to start the new class groups for 2014 here. So, let's hope for the best!

Testing (for Tara): Week 13: Monday/Thursday, 12/15 May 2014

(1) Short intonation exercise(2) Friendship: Discussion about friendship, doing some vocabulary and answering a few questions in pairs and small groups. (attachment - can also be viewed here: http://www.englishclub.com/esl-worksheets/conversation/TP_Friendship.pdf)Is this how you want it? I recommend learning some very basic html tags. You can control text/images better on the HTML Editor side rather than the Visual Mode side. Your images and media links seem to be dumping a lot of code. I have…

Week 6: Post for testing: Wednesday, 26 March 2014

Hi members of this group! You are so quiet! What about posting something in this group for discussion? Or telling us about you recent activities?! You have to practice your language skills sometime! We are currently experiencing problems with viewing pictures and opening Annexures in the other two groups for Class 12 and 13. I am going to do a similar post here with pictures and annexures and I would appreciate if a few of you would take the time and leave me a comment at the bottom of this post…

Chinese proverb

Another test; but this one you would find quite interesting!First, a picture: Now one in writing:"Be careful of your thoughts, for your thoughts inspire your words. Be careful of your words, for your words precede your actions.             Be careful of your actions, for your actions become your habits. Be careful of your habits, for your habits build your character. Be careful of your character, for your character decides you destiny."

Come on, pse tell us!To start the discussion, I'll tell you briefly about my (mostly boring!) holiday! Amongst others, I visited an old friend in…
