MINCED MEAT AND VEGETABLE SALAD.

Hi once again,

Here am going to share with you a lovely,palatable,tasty,appetizing and presentable salad.This  is my own special recipe and it is my husband's favourite salad.

 

                                                INGREDIENTS

 

1)1 kilo minced meat      (9)1 teaspoon of curry

2)4 potatoes                  (10)1 maggi

3)4 carrot                       (11)salt

4)4 eggs                         (12)1/4teaspoon of black

5)2 tomatoes                        pepper

6)1 green pepper              (13) 1/2teaspoon of finely

7)1 red pepper                  grinded red pepper

8) 2 onions                      (14)1/2teaspoon of finely grinded

                                             ginger.

                                        (15)1 bottle of ketchup or

                                              mayonnaise.

 

 

PREPARATION   METHOD;

 

1)Peel the potatoes and put it in a pot,add enough water and 1/2teaspoon of salt.Leave to cook for some time.When the potatoes are about to be soft , peel the carrot,wash and add it to the potatoes(do not cut the carrot).When cooked and soft(don't allow the carrot to be very soft)remove from the water,drain and keep aside on another plate to cool.

 

2)Boil the eggs in a seperate pot,when cooked  peel the egg shell and leave to cool.

 

3)Wash the tomatoes,green pepper,red pepper and 1 onion and cut them into small pieces(dice them) keep them seperately on a plate.

 

 

4)Put the minced meat in a sauce pan,add 1/2 teaspoon of salt,,black pepper,ginger,leave to cook for a while.stir properly and when there is no more lumps and water, add 1 tablespoon of oil,1/2 teaspoon of curry ,maggi and the finely grinded red pepper continue stirring until the meat becomes brown then remove it and leave to cool.

 

 

 

 

5)Get a very nice looking oval or square plate and start arranging layer by layer.

First take 1 boiled potato grate it on the plate making sure the potato completely covers the whole surface of the plate

Next spread ketchup or mayonnaise on the potato  making sure it covers all,followed by the cooked minced meat sprinkle it all around covering the ketchup.

Then take 1 carrot and grate it all round ,if its not enough take another one and grate until everywhere is covered.

Finally grate the boiled eggs on top of the carrot making sure all is covered.

Spread ketchup /mayonnaise  again on the eggs all round and then put the diced green pepper all round followed by the diced tomatoes on top then the diced onion on top and finally the red pepper,sprinkle  the minced meat again on top of the red pepper and then spread with ketchup or mayonnaise.

After that take another boiled potato and start the procedure all over again, continue with the same way you did the first layers repeating step by step until the last stage and  all has been used up.

You will have it piled up high and then just cut a stalk of mint leaves and place it in the middle.put it in the fridge until when you want to eat it.

   I prefare using ketchup because it gives it a sweet taste,so try using it too and i hope you will love it.Have fun cooking it and bon appetite.

    I've never heard it before,and didn't know it .You gave a clear method of preparation,I could imagine how to proceed,and I'm sure I'll do it myself too.
    The ingredients are all purchaseable here too!
