    Hi natasha,
I appreciate any kinds of animation (short or long films and anime series for TV, etc.)
"The Hedgehog in the Fog" you've posted is a good example. That was unique to me and I was able to enjoy the taste of Russia!
  • Hi, Hardy,
Thanks to your links, I've watched an old animation film about Ramsese and his owner. It's full of humor and love for good people and animals. And music's very nice.

From Russian cartoons (and also Russian children books) I like "Uncle Fyodor, His Dog and His Cat" ..I think the cartoon had different title... Well I have the book of Eduart Uspenski stories (in Estonian of course).. "Crocodile Gena and His Friends", "Uncle Fyodor, His Dog and His Cat" and "The Little Warranty People"... "Uncle Fyodor" I liked most of them.

Here's the youtube video based of uncle Fyodor story.. with English subs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOebKn_WhI0

As for Estonian cartoons, there are some few good, but I have trouble to find them and with English subs.. Well I still share one, since it doesn't have any speech in it. It's understandable even without subs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyKNcXYMwa4

Hi Achan Malaka - this is a tough question to give a fair answer, because I don't know much about animes from most countries other than Japan and the US. I believe every continent has good ones unique to their culture, but I just have no chance to watch them. So, no wonder, I like Japanese animes. I respect an American cartoon "The Simpsons", which Japan will never be able to create - it touches any social issues like violence, religion, racism with a super-sarcastic approach.

I would be happy, if MyEC can be the place for us to share good animes from different continents (maybe nothing from the Antarctic continent.. lol).

    What do you think????
  • Hi, everybody,
    Hi,yoh,
I'm interested to know what you mean by speaking of sharing animation here-is it animation films on the whole(different types) or only just real anime in a narrow sense ?

  • They are all fairly good. Though I like Japanese animation a lot, there are also American and European animations that I have liked.. Then, Maybe Asia have upper hand there.. Well Asia have higher population so maybe it makes sense. To make a good animation there's a lot of human work needed and qualified work not some just.. well now days a lot of work can be done by computers, but also there Japan is very advanced..

But otherwise All continents have some good animations.
