    Estanis, my congratulations. I will be happy to see you host the next round!

    Mishaikh, yes, your verb is a synonym for HOWL. Gogs, wolves, foxes uluate if they lose their cubs first of all or if they are injured. It is a cry of a desparate animal. A happy dog usually barks happily! LOL!

    I think it's ululate, if so I guess this has no merit :)

  • Estanis has won the round.  He guessed correctly. MY VERB IS

    'ULULATE'

    [uhl-yuh-leyt]

    verb (used without object)ululated, ululating.
    1.to howl, as a dog or a wolf;
    2.to utter howling sounds, as in shrill,
    I first read this word in my 11th grade in an essay in my English book.  Since then it had been stuck in my mind.

    I would appreciate Tanya's further explanation to the word.

  •   YOU HAVE WON ESTANIS.   MY CONGRATULATIONS
