  • Yes...Because Smart Clothes perfectly suits and fits to me...!! Is this right Anele Ma'm ?

    • Suit and fit can be used interchangeably already.  Your sentence is also correct but there are some cases where only one word is appropriate to use and the other when used will appear grammatically wrong.

  • AReality,

    You're not late.........

  • Very interesting lesson... These are simple words, but if misplaced, these words can completely change the idea of a sentence. These lessons suits those who keen on improving English grammar.

how to easily remember Anele's method?

if him is the answer, then we use whom, we can easily remember by comparing the last characters of those words, that's 'm'.

This is another way to deal with who and whom

when we are referring to the subject of the sentence we should use 'who' eg. he, she.

when we are referring to the object of the sentence we should use 'whom' eg. him, her.

who and whoever are subjective pronounces, they are subjects to verbs.

whom and whomever are objective pronounces, they are objects to verbs.

    eg. I like Tara.

Who likes Tara? I'm asking about the person who likes Tara, that is 'I', that is the subject of the sentence. So if you are referring to subject, use 'who'.

Whom do I like? I'm asking about the person I like, that is 'Tara', that is the object of the sentence. So if you are referring to object, use 'whom'.

    • That's very helpful, Kosala.  I learned another way from you.  Thanks a lot.

  • Welcome Nawa.  Thanks for the message.

  • Dear Anele,

It is so interesting! Please publish a lot of lessons of this category for the benefit of learners who are thirsty for English, good English.

I’m pleased to have your attention on the following,

    18. Who/Whom

Should I vote for him? Therefore, who is correct. I think you have made a typing mistake/error by missing the letter “m” because it should be changed as “whom” not “who”.

    Good Luck!

    • Dear Bilmal,

You are right, it was a typo.  Thank you so much for pointing it out.  I was in a hurry because I made it only this morning.  It was supposed to be published yesterday but I encountered some net problem so I was already cramming.

I'll change it later since I am not using my own laptop where my file is kept.

      Thank you so much again.

I am honored by your comment.

    • Thanks! Dear Anele!
