PRONUNCIATION of the DAY - 2020

I'll be posting the PRONUNCIATION (in the form of PHONETIC SPELLING) of a WORD everyday. My objective of doing this activity is to raise awarness among our Club members the importance of learning SPEECH SOUNDS and their SYMBOLS if they really want to solve their pronunciation problem.  

Now, this is what I want you to do! Look at the PRONUNCIATION for the day and type out the related WRITTEN WORD. I would appreciate it if you could also add your VOICE RECORDING of the pronunciation. It will help those who don't know how to read the PHONETIC TRANSCRIPTIONS. Make use of this opportuntiy to improve your pronunciation or help others with their pronunciation. Here's your very first PRONUNCIATION.

You can use the "voice recorder" below to record your pronunciation and play back the recording to listen to your pronunciation. This voice recorder does not save your recordings, thus you can record your voice as many times as you want until you perfect the pronunciation of a word.

    Have you heard this pronunciation before? If you have, then you'll know how unrelated the SPELLING of the word and its PRONUNCIATION seem. This is one of the reasons why English pronunciation is difficult. But, there's a solution. A PHONETIC TRANSCRIPTION (pronunciation spelling) can tell you how exactly a word is pronounced. Now, what it the WRITTEN WORD of the above pronunciation?

      Note: Many don't know that the word "entourage" is pronounced as /ˈɒnturɑːʒ/.

      Yes, it's indeed a tricky one! 

      That's the word, Mr Josef. Thank you very much for taking part in the challenge, though you don't really have to do it. But, I'm well aware that you are trying to inspire the club member with your participation and want them to realize how important it is to learn how to read the phonetic transcriptions. I appreciate your noble intention, sir!

    How about this PRONUNCIATION, guys? Make sure you give the right STRESS to the two syllables as indicated by the STRESS MARKS. Now, can you type out the WRITTEN WORD related to this pronunciation?
