Goulash - typical Czech food

Hello guys,

here I am coming with the first recipe I decided to post here. We will cook - GOULASH.

It is a typical Czech dish, you can come across almost in every restaurant apart from these for vegetarians. Sooo people who prefer vegetarian food .. close your eyes and better don't read more :-)

Ingredients:  500-600 g of meat (beaf, pork, turky, chicken)

              1-2  onions

              2 garlics

              oil

              wheat flour

              salt, pepper

              spice : marjoram, paprika, caraway

1. Cut the onion and let it fry on oil. It should be little bit brown but don't burn it.

2. Salt the meat pieces, up to you if you want to use pepper too and add them to the pot with onion, fry it, so that meat would change the color.

3.  Add paprika and let it fry for another one minute - not more else the taste of it would be bitter.

4. Afterwards add water (1 liter), caraway, marjoram, chopped garlics. Cover the pressure cooker or your pot. Let it boil and cook. If you are going to use pressure cooker, it will take just 30 minutes, in pot I guess longer.

5. When the meat is soft, put 2 table spoons of wheat flower into mug and add COLD water so that mug would be full, stir it and then add this white thing into the goulash to make it more thick. Stir the goulash and cook for another five minutes.

6. Now you are ready to serve this traditional dish with pasta, rice or dumplings. You can also put on it fresh onion but depends on:-) If you want to go outside later, better skip onion :D

Bon Apetite

    • Stranger,

my recipe, my pictures it all is originally mine, I didn't copy a single word, I took those pictures. M sure barbie did the same. Of course it would be better, if we used only our pictures etc because only by writing recipe by own words we can brush our English and make some progress.

    • I got you now, we can take famous food, but should write recipe by our own words?:)

cuz firstly I got we have to create recipes and own foods, LOL:D

  • excuse moi, commander, but shall we post our own created recipes, or any kind (famous, traditional, etc)

    cuz I saw:

    5. Don't plagiarize, please! It is about our own recipes, our own "masterpiece" we are able to prepare. It is not a big deal for me to look up some recipes but in this case the propose of this group would be totally useless.

    please advice chief
