LEt's DISCUSS: YOUR AGE

Hi.

I want to start a new topic that is connected with such thing as "AGE".

It's not a secret that i'm 32 (gonna be 33 this autumn) and to my mind my life has just started though I did all things that a normal person should do.

Normally I follow the rule that it written here:

But being in EC made me puzzled. Here some people can tell you that 32 is the end of your life and you're just a dry prune that is sold on the orient market :) I wouldn't  pay attention if it wasn't only once. But as I see, many people follow this thought.

I want to ask - why do people think like that? Don't they think that life is a very long thing and you have to make a lot of things before you go to another world? Or is it another motive in their behavior?

And what is time?

Does it exist ? we can't touch it but we can measure it. Maybe we cheat ourselves and today isn't 2015 but 203101?

What does it mean "Getting old"? For me it's just that the guarantee of your body is coming to an end. What about you?

Hmmmmm .....

  • Hi Honey-Bee,

I'd like to congratulate you for establishing such a group, and congratulate myself for having such a friend. I'd also like to thank you for inviting me to this group.

In replying to your questions 'what is time' and 'what is getting old', I think 'time' says how much I've gotten old. In other words, I look at the mirror and see some changes in my body. I say; "passing time has caused it". I look at the universe and find out that it is changing. I see everything is moving. I see the tree in my garden is in bud, then flowers, leaves, fruits develop from it, and fruits grow...! I see a direction, a movement. I call it 'time'!

Similarly, I see my own movement in this direction. I compare the amount of my movement with my father's movement to see how much of the road is still remained. Some people are used to fantasizing about everything. They say 'your old is as much as you feel'! I feel I am young, but my bald head with some grayish hair around my ears say something else!

    All the best,

    Behnam, 31 July, 2015

  • You can hide the age as its only a number, but not maturity. Some are old enough but don't act like one, others are younger but matured enough to think and do what's right.
    • Of course, people are judged by their deeds not by their words.

    • Yea, the bright reality, which most of us do not find it OBVIOUS, some see but when the sights gets blurred.

So put this reality aside, and SMILE to the life and let the life SMILE to us.

    • Mish, totally agree :)

    • Thanks Honey, this I call the same frequency.

    • As for the age, my granny was 85 years old yesterday :) That's what I call "A mature woman" :D even not old yet :D:D:D

    • Experienced rather than mature, yes in case maturity by thinking, by brain.

  • So, I'm older than you, hahahaha..

    I'm just passing by...

For me getting old means getting experience in life. For sure we'll come to an end, the way we will is the beautiful secret.

    Cheers
