Well, I face a problem reading some names here. Maybe as I don't have a background info about letters and sounds of other languages, thus, I don't even have clues. To be hones, some of them seem like puzzles for me, and I feel stupid sometimes frustrated.

However, I am of that type of a person who has no time to solveย  such puzzles, yet I won't make it easy and simple to me and cut it short and ask the person directly: "mmm, how do you pronounce your name?"

ย On the other hand, I'm not sure what reaction would it be when I ask such a question. I believe and respect the fact that we are different. Anyhow, your name is the very first gate you present to people as a piece of information about you.ย

So, if you don't mind and find it OK, please try to send your name in letters and phonemes and its meaning (if you like). I mean written normally and the correct way of how you pronounce "say" it. For example, I'm Hadeel /haedi:l/ not Adil as some called me here because the latter one is used for males. I'm Haaadeeeel, which means cooing the sound of pegoins.

COME ON, IT'S YOOOUR TURN๐Ÿ˜‰!

    • You are very welcomed Mr Suuu, and nice to have you as a friend.ย

But, does your name Suuu has a meaning?ย

      I'd be happy to know.

      Thank you๐ŸŒธ

  • Ya Hadeel ana ahib alhammam wa ahib soat alhmmam kaman! I like your name and I like the pigeons too.ย

    • Thank you sir, but tell us more about your precious name.

  • Hi, Miss. Hadeel.

I want to help out with the pronunciation of my name.

I've thought the best way to do that is to record my voice with my explanation.

    • It was the simplest way to tell you how my name should be pronounced.

I would like to listen to the names of other members, too. Then we can hear their voices and the pronunciation of their names.ย

    • I agree with you! I'll try it soon. Love yoooou Lady Rose Iris ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒบ

  • When I read the title I thought you're gonna review a Japanese movie entitled Kimi no na wa (Your Name, in English) :D but you literally wrote about how confusing some people's names are.ย  Btw, back to the aformentioned film,ย  it's a great old movie worth watching :)

    • You made me laugh and made my day, thank you. I'll find and watch that film.

But, how do you pronounce your name Galuh? Is that a /h/ sound at the end? What does it mean?

Thank you for your suggestion of the Japanese movie.๐ŸŒท

    • Yes, you still have to pronounce the last /h/ sound of my name, like when you pronounce 'opah'. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the common English word ending with h that resembles in sound with my name. Galuh means girl in my native language, but I am not a girl anymore haha. Btw, have you watched the movie?
