    Hi, there!

Thank you for dropping by and hitting on the "Like" button. By the way, don't you guys wanna share your thoughts about the issue with us? I'd appreciate it! ;-)

  • Hi Gabriel, this is my recording, I hope you could correct it. Thanks! :)

    it's very hard.

  • Hello dear teacher Gabriel ... It was so long to me since my last share in your useful blogs. I missed them :) I always wait every new from you especially what is related to pronunciation. Here is my answers to your questions:

1- It's difficult to pronounce English words because we didn't have the right source to get right pronunciation educationally. We didn't have professional teachers to teach us how to pronounce right.

2- The right measure to me is to follow the right ways in learning how to pronunciation. Moreover, to listen more to native English speakers and watch their mouths to find how they pronounce words. According to me follow your lessons is the first step in that way. I admit that recording my voice motivates me to improve my pronunciation.

3- I think it's so difficult to me to polish one’s pronunciation, but I think that it could be by practicing more and more.

4- The most solution is to practice, too. listen more and try to record what you had listened by that way we could find out our mistakes in pronunciation :)

Thanks so much ... I'm waiting for more benefits.

  • It's been a long time since I was with EC.......so sorry for the spacious gap between my words and the audioboo recording.......It seems I am groping for the right keys to keep the space at a nice interval but could not.......  Really, am feeling like a newbie... haha

  • And these are my answers to your questions...........

    1.  Pronunciation of English words makes it difficult for me to pronounce because my tongue is so used to pronouncing my own language which is FILIPINO.

    2.  Oh my..........I don't know if I have improved so far, hahaha.  The only measure I know is to imitate English speaking people how they utter and pronounce English words.

    3.  Gosh........this is difficult for an ordinary person like me......hihihi!  I think that the best approach to polish one's pronunciation is to follow the old cliche which is "PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT".   Oldie but effective, right?

    4.  With so much enthusiasm, I faithfully believe that there is always an effective solution to all the problems related to pronunciation, a solution that perfectly answers the needs of the learners.

So happy to be here once again..............wishing you the best, Gabs!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • How are you dear Gabs?  WOW...... this is another great inspiring work of yours.  I was dropping by but tempted to give this activity of yours a try......

I hope I met your expectation......if not, I am under your supervision hihihi.......THANK YOU SO MUCH Gabs.......... Below is the recording of my pronunciation...

Have a nice day......................see ya next time!

  • 1. for me, its not really difficult, Im not a native speaker but I have been expose to american english since i was 5, seeing lots of tv shows, listening to american music and   reading english books helped me a lot.

2.I always advice my online students to listen to american music and watch american tv shows, specially talk shows and reality tv shows.

    3. practice and find a language partner with a higher level of english skills

    4. This is a tough question for me, because english learners are from  different countries that means different cultures and ofcourse different languages. I cannot think of an effective way that will suit for anyone who wants to improve their pronunciation, but for me, the most effective way is to immerse in a country where everyone speaks english. I know this can cost a lot of money but its the most effective.

  • 1. Yes, as an Asian, I find it really difficult, and I think Japanese n Chinese, those two who face it the hardest. Because how we pronounce words and letters is different from English. Even I have tried so hard, it still sounds awkward. English people voice sounds more frontal and a bit nasal when they speak, I think... Sometimes in english words, there also some exception when we pronounce some letters like "t", "r", cleary, when we don't... For ex: listen vs liturgy

    2. The measures I've done are by listening my recorded speech and compare it to the word by word pronunciation, and analys where is the difference, altough it's really hard to find out the mistake.

    3. The best approach is to make them living with the natives, hear the natives speak everyday. There should be a native who correct the pronunciation, so we could relise the mistake.

    4. Yes, of course, find a good teacher, or friends with the natives!!! :)
  • Hello great friends of me :)

Here is what plays the most in the process of my pronunciation 's betterment ,Listening to the way of words are pronounced .And that's it.

P.S:I am missing to be active part in the blogs of you dear Gabriel :) Hope you will conclude applied and very useful solutions to help we conquer difficulties of correct pronunciation in English.

    With Love, Hani :)
