Where is the logic?

Hello guys,

I am little bit confused ..You know, I have come across many times videos on Youtube or pictures of muslim girls with covered hair BUT with heavy layer of make up. I mean they post tutorials etc. and I really wonder where is the logic as their hair is covered but face is hidden under the layers of make up, which like we all know make women look better..

What is your opinion? Is it ok to cover hair but to put on such heavy layer of make up including red lipstick etc.? How does it go together? Plz... enlighten me ;)

  • Some people are authoritarian and impolite and they sometimes want to know things about the culture of other people. They are in fact, in favour of enforcing people to change because they think they need to follow a rigid set of rules in which they have no voice.A set of code of conduct is usually an absolute standard , which is motivated by religious considerations and also personal decisions. We need to respect all people in the world , because each one has its correct code of conduct .

  • very simlple logic.

    DO you have a faith...

If yes, do you make alll things what your faith say you," do, or don't"

  • Precisely! How about a wrong interpretation, Mary? That's possible, right?

Zahra, nice to see you around, I like to talk about religion with you.

I thougth the Quran, same as I've read in the Bible, said that women and guys have to dress modestly... But if you say that it mentions the women's hair as something that has to be covered, okay... you must know better. But I find very interesting how Catholics and Muslims seem to have the same rule but is interpreted in diff ways (just nuns cover their hair, but nowadays even many of them dress without any 'uniform')

  • Luci, since you are looking for logic in these things for general, may I ask what makes you think that all of our deeds came out of logic? Another thing, are we looking for coherence and consistency here like when you wear modest clothes tantamount to show that you are modest and you should possess that in your whole being~~well, yes!  Geez, I'll contradict myself when I try to question your seemingly same opinion as mine,  here as in the shade that I have the same thought as yours that why they would like to pretend to be modest where in reality their faces are showing off.

Moreover, I assume you have a logical explanation too by asking the logic behind this not-so-obvious daring facade of some women. That caught my interest.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the different topic.

I think Hijab is something beyond just wearing a scarf. One's hair is an aspect of their beauty; but that's not all. To me a girl who wears very tight jeans, yet at the same time wears a scarf is not obeying what Islam exactly wants her so that she feels safer and not in center of strangers' attention. The same is about wearing make-ups.

I am myself a Muslim; but I do not agree with those who wear make-ups.

PS- The verses in our Holy Quran which are related to Hijab begins with this instruction: "...lower your gaze...". Even the Holy Quran, firstly wants "men" to lower their gaze. Then in the following verse wants women first to lower their gaze and then the other instructions including covering their beauties- which includes hair,.... So you see, one's behavior is also important. You should try not to gaze at someone- even of the same sex- intentionally just for enjoying. Besides, you should try to properly cover up your beauties- such as your hair. This is for your own good. This way you are less at risk of sick guys.

  • It's very easy
By tge time it has started to be kind of fashion more then religious. And what makes them still keeping wearing the cover that they used to .
