Some things are just not right

Yesterday, on my way home, I was stopped by a cat I saw crossing the road with its head inside a transparent plastic bag. I noticed the cat's struggle as it moved  back and forth in the middle of the road so I decided to help the poor cat and carried the cat at the side of the road. When the plastic bag was taken off its head the cat just walked quietly to its destination.

Though I am not a cat person I was very angry to the person who did it. I'm sure someone did it because the cat's head was neatly bagged. Some people are really so cruel. I know that they cannot feel the joy a pet gives to other people's lives but I am sure they can see and feel that dogs and cats have lives too.

Some countries cannot let these cruelties just slip by without any action once caught or reported. Here are some...

How about in your country, are there cases of dogs and cats being abused too? What do you do to stop this?

Good day!

  • Road to Recovery

Watch this amazing story of a boy's recovery with the help of a therapy dog.

Maybe, without some of us knowing this, (that) our pet(s) is/(are) our therapy animal(s) at work 24 hours a day.

    Have a wonderful day!

  • If those mean people have no concern for animals how much more to humans who has the mind to reason out.

  • Hello A7, it's nice to see how some pets are helped by their owners. It shows how happy those pets are on your shared photo. But maybe, behaviour of some other people have gone against their instincts. Really sometimes I cannot bear to look at the cruelties of other people  to those delicate living creatures. They have to understand that those little creatures cannot fight nor defend themselves. They cannot  explain themselves why some things happened... We are the ones who have a high degree of understanding so the understanding should come from our side. This is expected and easy to understand.

A7, this is not a call to like or love animals, this is just to literate the people of what's going on around us, with the hope of  finding a more suitable solution to this proliferating activity/behaviour of some people towards those weak living creatures.

I really think those abusive people just have to leave those meek living creatures alone if they despised them.

    Thanks for your opinion, A7.

    Good day!

    • Hello there,

I'm not an optimist. Not at all. It really breaks my heart when I see any kind of abuse; it does not matter the victim is either an animal or a human being. But whenever I see a ray of hope, I cannot help it. I get sentimental.

There is this movie called 'the drop'. It is about a man who can wrap a severed hand in cellophane like it is a meatball sub, but when he finds a stray puppy dumped in the trash, beaten and alone, he goes weak at the knees and decides to take care of him like his own flesh and blood.

My point being, there are sickos out there who enjoy abusing, whether animals or humans, but there are some good fellas who pick up the pieces of those shattered lives as well.

      Good wishes always

    • A7, I know it's true that if someone cannot show gentleness to animals, they could be more worst to human who can fight with them like cats and dogs.

  • I don't know. Maybe there's still hope. Don't you think?

    Faith in humanity restored.

  • I know. right!

  • Those who abuse animals are mentally ill and dangerous, if they are not stopped, they abuse humans too.

  • Hi Mishaikh!

Thanks for showing your compassion. As of this writing I am now feeling less sad and found out that a lot of cats/dogs are really brutally treated; even a lot worst than what I have seen yesterday.

    Thanks for stopping by Mishaikh.

    Have a nice day!
