Hey guys do u think do we need to have a dislike button here??? I undestand we all present here to learn to motivate each other!!! but I personally feel like english club should put a dislike button so we can have a feed back on what we write and what we share...Pls do share your thoughts.

Ohhh watta topic :D well.. I am not against it because it would teach people to accept criticism, however after so many years I spent here...I know pretty good that those who would like to press unlike button would have one wish - they would like to stay anonymous :D sooo... we can say we don't like something, nah?
Why ? i think that it's not necessary. Making the dislike button will only takes people who are responsible for this site a lot of time. And it will give us almost nothing .So I'm against.
I don't think it's a good idea to add a "dislike" button ... it isn't necessary because everyone can write his comments without to press a button. If you now will say, it's also unnecessary having a "like" button ... hmmmm... that would be an good argument.... because we also can add our comments if we agree with writing or comments... or if we want to say something else. I would go along with this argument. To express an opinion doesn't need a button because we aren't speechless. But for photos we should keep the button.
Why? You just can tell them off to your heart's content in the comment section. And it's not like some supernatural force is making you press the "Like Button".

It's an applaudable thing somebody wants an improvement, but we should keep in mind that improvements are meant to go on a positive path. :)
I would like to cite here what Facebook product design manager said about this like & dislike button;
"The like button is really valuable because it’s a way for you to very quickly express a positive emotion or sentiment when someone puts themselves out there and shares something. Some people have asked for a dislike button because they want to be able to say, “That thing isn’t good.” That’s not something that we think is good. We’re not going to build that, and I don’t think there needs to be a voting mechanism on Facebook about whether posts are good or bad. I don’t think that’s socially very valuable or good for the community to help people share the important moments in their lives."

I would like to add, what might be boring for us is somewhat beneficial or interesting for other people. We are always looking at our point of view not considering others' point as well. We are not living on an island. It's very simple to avoid/ignore/refuse to participate in one discussion. No need to make the writer/blogger felt bad about what he/she thought had done a masterpiece. It will not hurt much if we try to put ourselves in their shoes.
Plus, I would like to highlight also, sometimes we press the LIKE button not because we like the content/blog itself, we are doing that because we like the writer/blogger regardless of what he/she has written for us. Same as dislike, some people tend to press that because they don't like the person though her/his content/blog is valuable or not bad. Misused. :D Human. :D
So for me, I agree that this site will forget about the idea. :)
Btw, I like this discussion, it will lead us to something sensical, I'm hopeful. :)
Oh yeah! There's no canonball right to your face if you don't hit the like button. Hahaha!

NOT necessarily. Simple ignoring, (not pressing the like button) is enough to express your disliking.
