Hi there!first sorry abt my English.i really need your help,i'm confused whenever using "unless" and "if...not"

if i say "i will go fishing unless it rains".is it the same meaning with "i will go fishing if it doesn't rain" ?

do i sound queer when i say "i will go fishing unless i doesn't rain" ?

Thanks

  • wow,it's verry useful.thanks for helping me,i really appreciate that :)

can i ask you one more question please:

"i couldn't have gone fishing - unless it had not rained"

i can not use "if not" in this case right?

    • that's nice siria. In vietnam, our teachers say that we can replace unless with if..not,and when i talk with foreigners sometimes they say that i sound queer!now i know the reason.
    • oh i see!thanks again.you are nice!
