Order of Sentence

"Lazy a boy as he is, he is knowledgeable."

Would someone help me to analyse this sentence's structure ?

I think that 'lazy a boy' should be 'a lazy boy'.Or the whole sentence should be "lazy boy as he is, he is knowledgeable."

I hope you can give me a hand and help me to undstand the grammer behind it.

So the sentence is stating, that although the boy is lazy he is still knowledgeable.
His school report card would read.
A+ for Attainment, E- for Effort, pretty much what my report card read for mathematics whilst I was at school.
Although I'm a native speaker, I'm not too great at grammar, but I would say that the structure of this sentence is correct.

Well I am not that good in grammar as u might think  . But it might goes this way

( a boy as lazy as he is  , isn't knowledgeable  ) and  I have no explanation  . It is only my sense  of the nature of the language  . I might be wrong . I hope that someone will  step here to solve ur confusion  . I am interested  to know as well as u do :)

I am still a little confused about it.I personally think that when some noun phrase behind 'as' the position of article and noun should be exchange.
