Did you watch the Royal Wedding?

I half thought about getting up really early to watch the royal wedding. Then I remembered I have this terrible cold and realized that I need my sleep. Did you watch the wedding between William and Kate?

If you watched it live, tell me about your first impressions. How did Kate's dress compare to Diana's? Did you see the kiss? How were the crowds?

If you watched the news footage, what parts were you interested in?

If you didn't watch it, why didn't you? Is your excuse better than mine?

Hi, Tara, this topik is really interesting. I didn't watch the wedding between Wiliam and kate it live, but I watched it on TV and I was really surprised. It was so beautyfull, like in a fairy tale. I think, in that day every girl dreamed to be on place Kate Middleton. Your opinion?

i just watch a little cos my daughter always changed the channel with her favourite one.

the event that i watched when the bride groom was taken by into the church by his father and met by the bride. and then they were confirmed by clergyman to be a husband and wife. it was wonderful moment

the most of all i like their simplicity and their friendliness that make them full of grace.

Hello Tara, I hope you get well soon... abou the wedding, I totally agree with Alena, and with all due respect this kind of events don´t deserve my atention.

For example, the last week we were celebrating the earth´s day (even our friend Robert created a blog http://my.englishclub.com/forum/topics/what-would-you-do-to-help), and I´m surprised because only five members have commented in this important topic.

I was unable to watch it live Tara I was more on EC, and then I realized through the chat room about the telecast :)

Saw the recorded version.I prefer Princess Catherines dress , as it has the old English charm and simplicity.

HI Tara..... I did watch the Royal Wedding ,My first impression was that they both (William and Kate) were truly in love with each other......Understanding between the two was excellent they were really complimenting each other ......Frankly I watched it just to see pretty gorgeous Kate....She looked very innocent to me.........Diana too was extremely beautiful but chemistry between Charles and Diana wasn't so good so Diana looked a bit tensed on her wedding day ......that is way I liked KATE ....

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of royal families. When stories of Princess Diana stopped, my interest about anything that concerns royalty died along with her. So I really have no excuse Tara because that was intentional. I intentionally did not watch it because they would only appear too good to be true for me. I would rather be content of watching royalty-like stories in films only.

They simply live in a different world....far different from the world of ordinary people like me.

@Alena You don't have to apologize! That is an excellent reason not to support the wedding. I fully agree with you that the money could be better spent in times like these.

I enjoyed all of your comments. I agree about the dress. I was surprised how plain and simple it was compared to Princess Diana's. She looked beautiful, but my daughter was hoping for a bigger tiara.
