Story of his life. Last page. 1

Yes, life happened and this is happened as well.  Now I am staying here, to accompany my friend to the last journey, where he found his last asylum.

And here, staying over his grave, I don’t have much to say about my old friend.

… We met first time in far 2015th year, when we were 28 years old. He was not that bad guy, he was open, trustworthy and friendly. But, unfortunately, these all skills didn’t help him or it wasn’t enough to achieve any of his goals in life. Sad to admit, he had lack of courage to chase his targets, and didn’t have strong spirit to handle circumstances thru his life path. Other thing, he never grown up, acting most of the time immaturely without taking responsibility of what he did (or didn’t).

All these and other things made him antisocial, making his integration into society a big deal for him. He never married, and he always said it was his choice, but to be correct, he didn’t even try to change it as well.

… More he moved in life, more he failed in attempts to change his life. More he failed, more he stood far from people, living in his created world, sharing it only with few friends and family. Did he even try to answer to the question - what is happiness? And even now, not so many people gathered to attend his funeral. Funeral of person, who put himself in exile, who spent life alone, and lying now alone in his last and eternal exile.

… His life has reminded me story of Martin Eden, but any without success, faded and forgotten man, who left only “-“ sign after him, between birth and death date.

Yes, life happened and this is happened as well.  Now I am staying here, to accompany my friend to the last journey, where he found his last asylum.

And here, staying over his grave, I have much to say about my old friend.

… We met first time in far 2015th year, when we were 28 years old. He was really good guy, with open, caring and reliable personality. He carried all capabilities to achieve his dreams, despite the fact he didn’t call them “dreams”, he called them “goals”. Thru all his life, with enviable confidence and courage, he set and beat goals, one by one. He was always saying that no one is to take responsibility of his life, except him, and never turned his face from life challenges.  Being mature enough, he didn’t lose his sense of humor mixed with healthy sarcasm, from which we “suffered” a lot.

… He never planned to be rich, but he was wealthy by his family, friends, ideas and achievements, that created warm and pleasant world around him.  He never intended to be center of mass, but he was welcomed member of society of his city, always trying to make himself and people around him better.

… I can say that, he found his perfection and happiness in life: his business, house near the lake, loving and lovely wife with beautiful kids they raised. And his actions will remain forever in spending to charity to help build and support schools, hospitals, and kindergartens and many more.

… And now, standing here, among all people who would like to thank him for the last time, I remember one simple sailor Edmond Dantes, who became soon The Count of Monte Cristo, leaving good memory and example for next generations.

p.s. now I am back to 2015, and I have to decide what my friend will write about me.

  • Inna, yes, those 2 stories are limit points of up and down, so one should fine balance between them, realistic between optimistic and pessimistic:)

and about being journalists, they tell what employer says to tell, but being independent journalist, etc, is quiet good idea, unfortunately truth is so obvious, that peple prefer believe lies these days:)

  • Stranger, your friend will write a third story.Life is still happening and there's no end to perfection. By the way, no good friend would tell story №1 because you should say either good things or nothing about the deceased. Story 2 is way too idealistic, that's just the type of stories you'd hear about the dead. There never existed a person who died without leaving a bunch of enemies and sins behind him.A good idea it is to make a draft of a funeral speech about oneself:)))))))))))))))))

Stranger, ever thought of a career of a journalist? You have your own style and ideas.

  • Barbare, nu zayats pogodi:)
