Writing challenge: The Land of my Birth

I was born in Bangladesh. It is a small country of south-Asia with a large number of  enthusiastic people. Here, people are industrious, they can smile without any reason ( I am also)!

In true sense, it is a plain land. We have many rivers so, it's called as a reverine country. We have no mountain but we have hills and the longest sandy sea-shore around the globe. Overall, my birth place is greenish, weather is congenial all the year round.

I have visited many places of my country. I love to visit historical sites and natural sites altogether. But, my favorite place of destination is my hometown. I want to go there as much as I could!

What are there? Let me say, What aren't there!

There is a lot of known people who care for me and my family. A famous river runs by the side of my hometown. How many times we like to go that river bank- side park to spend our evenings. In every festival, there is a fair. Have you got chance to roam around in a crowded fair! If yes, you may understood my feeling, how does it mean! Though it is a town but in the fair, there are lots of things and amusement which are only available in a  village-fair.

In this recent Eid festival, we went there, we rode in a cart, we enjoyed fairies-wheel ( wood made), there were many rides for the children but most of them had village flavor!

One thing more, sometimes during Winter season, a distant sandy hill could be visible from this river bank....yes,once I watched it!

Okay, let me say a true, though I am too much home sick, I never thought of staying in my hometown for a long time. Instead it, there was always an urge to explore new cities and towns. Most probably for this reason, I went to another town for my higher study. And, this attitude does not leave me yet, I feel the same urge till now in my mind.

Well, despite of  anything, I am till now like a little girl who is roughly home sick. Till now, I have to hide my bleary eyes when our  national football or cricket team participates in an international match and our national flags begin flapping against the wind! I adore to hear any single piece of good news about my country. And, for this reason, I want to read more, want to place myself  a little higher, want to learn another languages, want to be friendly and helpful...

And, I do believe, everybody should love and respect their Motherlands!
