  • Hi Paul,

Great tips to share! This is big problem for every learners actually. It isn't only about how brain works in memorizing vocab, but it depends on effort we do on practicing. Practicing is not also about writing but also reading. Sometimes, we read the same word and what a shameless we sometimes look into the dictionary once again. This is how learners do efforts. We shouldn't be lazy. :)

    Well, regarding to your question.

    1. voraciously is a new word to me. Nice word! Thanks. :)

    2. I think I learn new words everyday, I'm not sure how many.

    3. I have one thing to add. Beside writing new vocab on a notebook, you can pronounce it two or three times.

    4. I like all POSITIVE WORDS. :)

Thanks for sharing tips on memorizing vocabulary.

  • Hi Paul!

    1) I don't remember the last English word, that I have learned.

    2) Whenever it is possible to remember the meaning of the new word for me. I don't search for the new words nowadays.

    3) No, I haven't any special way to expand my vocabulary.

    4) It is difficult for me to decide, what word I like most. Although English language has a lot of words with a beautiful pronunciation and with a beautiful meaning.

Nice blog! Thank you for sharing!

  • okay snr here we go xD ,

Hwaiting is actually “Fighting” in korean pronunciation, same thing anyway.
It is a Konglish (wrong English expression used in Korea) word for encouragement.

It’s similar which “cheer up” in English.
It was derived from the verb ‘fight’ as you can see.
Usually in English, we say “Go and Fight!”,
but it is usually for the game, right?

However, when you say “Fighting” or “Hwaiting” in Korean,
it means variously from ‘cheer up’, ‘go’, ‘fight’, and more.
It also refers ‘you can do it’, ‘you will be good’ and so on.
