V is for Varoufakis!

The Greeks surprised the European polibureaucracy in Brussels by letting the people speak—an outrageous dose of democracy from a country said to have been its birthplace! And the (now ex-) Finance Minister of Greece was largely to be thanked for it, much to the annoyance of the European elites who are trying to bail out the bankstersThis article shows Varoufakis in an unusual and amusing light:

  • Glad somebody stood up and fight against the 'so called big boys' of Europe. They are just a big bunch of bullies. All the best to Greece and her people. I'm sure you will survive this period. After all, you and your people had bear the wrath of Zeus and all those Gods, many times before. :)

  • @Josef

Thanks for sharing this. I don't really know the 'bailout' thing or how bad Greece's economy is. It sounds like the finance minister is such a tough guy. I'm not sure if the referendum result is a good thing for Greece - a blessing in disguise?

The aftermath is worth staying tuned, though.

  • RT.com - Russia Today in english, glad to hear you read from these sources also

  • haha very cool memes. Varoufakis has been a really annoying stone in the Troika's shoes. I'm glad for that. I can't wait to see what's going on next, and I really hope for the best for Greece's people.

I think Troika, bankers and G8's are more worried about the possibility of the Greek withdrawal from the eurozone than the opposite. Who knows, maybe there is a 'better life' out of the EU, and the 'Big Brother' don't want us to know...

  • Hello Mr. Josef, Greece last Sunday shouted a big NO, the second No in Greece's history after 1940.  61,31% of Greeks voted no, the others are rich and simple people who scared. They tried to scared us. They closed the banks and they terrorized people via some channels (they always do that). The prime minister said: The biggest fear is the fear, don't afraid of them! And we didn't! We shouted NO! No in more hard measures! So it was right what Varoufakis said that they are terrorist!!! And they don't want him because he is a real fighter! They afraid of him! And now he resigned because he wants the deal to be with an little easier way. I wish and hope he come back. We need such people! First time that Greece has government that real care about people!
