We hope we do not have to live any.
    However, we are predators.
I've heard about carnage since I'm a child.
I've heard about slaughter since I have memory.
I've heard about butchery during the whole of my life.

The word is 'carnage', I think! For example (used in a sentence):

I hope history will never repeat the carnage, mass killing, of the First and Second World Wars.

By the way, here are a few synonyms - words having similar meaning of 'carnage'. I believe they'll be useful to our fellow club members.

annihilation, butchery, extermination, genocide, massacre, slaughter

You wonder why I’ve used ‘redas my font colour here! It's because, all these lead to bloodshed*, don’t they? *killing
