Now a days, due to technological advancment peoples can interact each other with out time and distance limitation. Technology is evolving to take humanity to somewhere deep in the dark. It is obvious that humanity is degrading exponentially at an alarming rate, i wander if technological evolution has any correlation with humanity. At the very beginning, when a man was using stone, can you imagine the level of humanity at that very moment?. let me tell you mine, at that time, for sure there were no police or a judge to prove you are guilty or not, but i think peoples lived with respecting each other in harmony. One of my reason to this conclustion was the very nature of humanity, we humans naturally have a sense of humore towards each other, unfortunatly technological development is erroding irreplaceable nature of humanity. cultural and religious wealths are eventually disapearing to nowhere, in which humanity has its very base at this entities.

  • Dear Robe Hailu,  THE CONFUSION OF HUMANITY AND DEVELOPMENT is a good post,  reading your post,  I have remembered  two year ago when some  friends and I were a weekendplan out of my city, we stayed in a hotel without coverage for mobile phone, it was the  best weekend forever.

  • Oi there, folks

There is one point in robe's blog which is hard to deny, it's only thanks to the immense technological evolution that robe was able to present it to us, should the blog have had to be chiseled out in a plate of rock, I doubt if robe would care to take the pains of writing it...errrrrr...chiselling it out.. ;-)

  • Today, no industry can survive without enough data. Robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, smart cars, smartphones, smartwatches...wherever you look, data plays a central role. Where do big industry owners get this data from? The more we use modern tools and technologies, These industries will become stronger and richer. This may be a form of modern slavery.

it depends on how we look at the issue. Do big industry owners look at people as data generators? may be. However, it doesn't matter how they look at it, because we can't change it. We can only change the way we relate to these tools and technologies.

  • good point.

  • Really? well, you should not use this website, I mean if you think Technological development is erroding irreplaceable nature of humaninty....

Let me ask you something, have you heard about the Neanderthal extinction? Maybe, a posible cause of their extinction was violence... in the same era when a man only use stone....

    • now a days we have plenty of social media in which we spent a lot of our time, however we are not spending that much of time with our loved ones, living virtual life.

    • my point is, we are using technology in a suicidal way, for instance, you can consider biological and nuclear weapon.

    • Com on friend, you wrote this "when a man was using stone, can you imagine the level of humanity at that very moment?. let me tell you mine, at that time, for sure there were no police or a judge to prove you are guilty or not, but i think peoples lived with respecting each other in harmony" I ask you again: what level of humanity we have forgotten? Do you really think there wa an era when people lived in harmony?
