Each day, we sit listening to the daily conference on Covit 19.  We hear the live statistics and Coronavirus news tracking the number of confirmed cases, recovered patients, tests, and death toll due to the deadly virus. We know the time of briefing from the ministry of health in our country. Up to now, more than three and a half million confirmed cases of the new Coronavirus round the globe.

I and my family got used to this kind of lockdown and this routine. People tried to cope with the situation and tried different ways. Many stories were created from Coronavirus, some of them are serious, others are fictitious, and funny causing laughter. Let’s have this one:

“The government has just announced that if you have five kids, your family will receive five thousand pounds per week. A man heard the news and said to his wife, "I have a kid with my girlfriend. I'm going to bring him so we can add him to our four kids." When he came back, he saw only one of his kids remaining.

“He asked, “Where are the other three?”

*His wife replied, “You are not the only one who heard the news. Their fathers have come for them!”

    • Mumnoon Muhammad!  It is seven thirty in the morning. I am going to sleep. Later, I shall give my reply. Thanks again

    • Nah, our societies don't collapse. - And to quote your source 'Marriage has become less necessary for women’s financial survival, social interaction and personal wellbeing.' So, no need to marry a guy, since we can live with the partner we choose or alone!

    • Hello Notaclue, thanks for your comment on that story. Is it possible to be one of your friends? Thanks again.

    • Hi there!
      1. I commented on that chart and Muhammad's comment, and clearly not on your story.
      2. Otherwise I wouldn't have spoken about OUR societies!
      3. I disdain people who don't care for their children!
      4. I disdain people who hide their children for their new partners! Same goes for people who cheat on each other.
      5. Your story is about a married couple, which has nothing to do with what I was saying in my comment above. Marriage is for many people (including me) an outdated model, that's why we don't aim for that in the first place.
      6. To answer your question. Nope, no interest.
      7. For the people who find my answer rude: Since dara gino already sent me 2 friendship requests which I declined, and asked me openly more than 4 times after that again... I think the time for politeness is over. And well, because we are having here a cultural exchange... In my country it's a sign of disrespect to not accept a NO from a woman, and to ask for such things (like adding someone to a contact list) more than two times.
      8. So, keep asking me that, and I'll keep telling you why I don't like you. Which, yeah, is kinda rude. ;)
      Greetings!

    • Is it possible to be one of your friends?

    • Do you really consider unrestrained relationships as progress and the marriage as outdated!?
What is your definition of marriage?
Marriage is not a religious matter. It is a social thing.
Marriage means the public announcement of a relationship. That everyone knows that this man belongs to this woman and vice versa.
It's about protecting the rights of women and children.
Eveyone knows who its mother is. but what about the father?
The child who is the result of this relationship must know who his father is! This is a Inalienable right!
And the father must take the responsibility.

    • Bisiari az nikat Muhammad! I tried to avoid pushing the topic to lessen the heat of the discussion. Thanks a lot.

    • Those relationships are restrained by the rules both partners set. - Yes, marriage is a social construct. Yep, I definitely think marriage is outdated AND completely overrated! But I'm speaking only for myself. The progress is that we have now equality before the law. For women and men, for children born out of wedlock and born in wedlock, or adopted. Children get the same the amount of alimony from the providing parent, No matter whether father and mother have been married or not. Women have the same right of education. Parents can't intervene what we choose to learn, or in which profession we want to work. We can freely choose where we wanna live and with WHOM!!!

Now, payment and career chances are still not everywhere the same. A big issue! But we're getting there.

If people wanna get married... please, no one is holding them back. It is still allowed. If you think you need to tell the world with whom you live... Go ahead. I/we don't care. But I don't need that, and neither do many others. Now I'm speaking only for myself, because I'm not the spokesmen for other people. I'm not the possession of a man, and he is not mine. There is no need to announce that to the public. The only announcement is that both of our names are at the door, because otherwise the mailman can't find us. :-D

Yes, I also believe it's the right of every child to know who their parents are. This is documented in birth certificates. And we have paternity tests if there is any uncertainty. Adopted children have the same rights as well.

Father and mother have to take responsibility. - But I tell you my opinion about that. If a father or mother isn't taking good care of their child, no marriage status or law is going to change that. Of course they should be encouraged and supported to learn how to care for their children if they are immature and irresponsible. Especially if they come from neglecting and/or abusing families! People who haven't experienced a loving childhood (marriage isn't a guarantee for love or care!) are more likely to asses themselves as in-cable, not because they actually are, but because their parents made them believe they are not lovable by neglecting and abusing them. Being married doesn't make anyone a better person, you are as good or bad as a caretaker as you were without that status!

    • Mumnoon Muhammad Ali! Thanks for your nice points answering some people. No need to trouble yourself. Thanks again.

You are great NotAClue! A lot of respect.
