Sorry I've been Absent

My new job in Shenzhen is pretty good, not perfect mind you, but pretty good. The only BIG negative currently is that I live over 2 hours away from where I work. I am hoping to find a new place to live closer to Nanshan Central District (where I work) next month. I must save enough money first which is why I haven't moved yet.

Yesterday I finished my application for the correct visa to work in China. I will pick up my Passport in 2 weeks and be good to go (or should I say stay).

Until I move though, my time to access MyEC will remain very limited. I work 5 days a week and leave my apartment at 10 am and return at about midnight. That is due to the travel time. Once I move, I'll try to carve out some time to get back involved here at MyEC

  • Thanks Tara.  The commute actually isn't bad except it leaves me no free time other than during the commute.  That time is good for catching up on my reading lists.  I need to add your books to my list but not necessarily to read on the Metro ride.

  • Thanks for the update, Tim. Your two-hour commute sounds like a nightmare. I hope things work out for you soon.

    Cheers,
    Tara

  • NOASL No I must have enough $$ saved to move; that will be after I get paid in August. That has been my timeline. DHL just cost me some $ but hopefully not enough to jeep me from moving plus they may reimburse me my extra costs. They have been very nice so far.

  • hope u find enough time to back to MyEC soon.

  • BTW. Welcome Back

  • I remember just your name :(

  • So you can blame the delay to DHL. If they didn't wayward your passport, or was it your visa, you'll be settled comfortably now.

And, yes, we miss your guidance. Though I can message you, sometimes it's not the same when you can guide immediately.

  • Still need two weeks?
