Once, in the time of evening twilight

It's the time of twilight. Nobody sees the woman behind the window of the house next to the park. She is hiding behind the curtains. She doesn't want anyone to see her.
She likes watching the young lovers, sitting on the benches in the park, holding their hands and kissing each other.
She smiles, but in her eyes gleam tears. She is far away from the reality, lost in dreams. She's back in time when she was also one of those couples.

She is married, but the passion of her marriage has gotten lost in the daily routine of the years. She had always tried to keep the love alive. It was in vain. If one in marriage sees the other's love as self-evident or even no longer perceives it, what else can one do?
She misses being wanted, desired by her husband. She barely remembers the last stroll with him while he was holding her hand. She remembers the good years with sadness and longing.

The woman behind the window awakes from her daydream. She wipes away the tears, goes back to the sitting room where her husband watches TV as always.
"Time for dinner?", she asks him while she kisses him on cheeks.
"Hmmm.. if you want," he says.
She goes to the kitchen and prepares something for dinner.
Both eat in silence.
He doesn't stop watching TV during dinner. He doesn't notice her soul-pain.
She does still love him, that's why she stays. There is still hope, deep inside her, but she isn't sure for how much longer.

  • Yes, Onee-chan, is it.

  • Sad... :(

  • Hahaha, Marek, you already told me that yesterday. I did reply to your comment.

But... thanks again for reading and commenting on my blog.

  • It's a very sad story. I won't write anything more.

  • Exactly, Rosemary.

    Thanks for your reply.

  •        Mmmm  u are right  as well  , there are things we can't  ask for , they ought to be given naturally  . U should ask for love if there is no feeling  , because   we will get a fraud . We can't get love or attention  by force  . Love is meaningless  when it is acted

  • Rosemary, actually are you right. Why don't women ask for their needs? That is your question.

Maybe, if someone has to realize that the love has left her husband. To ask for lost feelings doesn't make sense.

  • That's ok, Marek. Some things don't need commenting.

    Thanks for reading.

  •      Let's us say that some men don't understand the need to be loved that most women desire   . Rose u were honest  in ur blog  . However  , I must ask this question  . Why don't women  ask for their needs ??? Why do they suffer in silence  ???

  • Thanks a lot, Nobody.

It is the best reward, honor, and distinction for us storytellers when we see that we managed to make readers can feel the mood of our story. And if they find themselves in the description, it's the best.
