of roofless sand house...

She was walking alone bare footedly along the eve-lit-seashore…… a cute smile on her lovely face made her more attractive; she was moving slowly lost in her thoughts. He was observing her for long time. Then he could not resist himself to going nearer her, and before long he was there by her side. She greeted him with a mesmerizing smile. The magic was there; they experienced amazingly the incredible feeling of made for each other just for a second. They were standing before the ferocious sea, observing the blue sky was about to turn in to a big-crimson-canopy stretched upon them.

Their hearts were dancing on the rhythm of kind moments. for some time they stepped forward on sand of beach. Then he whispered ‘lets play a game of building sand house together’. His whisper was so loud that even fishes in deep oceans heard it; the moving wind spread this news to all there, ’ hey..hey..did you listen? What did he say to her?’ She was happy so everything around her was thrilled too.

They started to make sand house. They were talking and laughing while joining the sand together. She was incredibly good in building sand house but he did not notice it. Her hands were holding sand and mind was busy to draw a good design of house.  But soon she realized his presence who was sitting aside watching her lost in creating the design. He came nearer and said her to take little rest. Instead she asked him to bring more sand and some strong straws to make shelter of the sand house. But he ignored her wish; actually he lost his interest in this game. At last he left her alone sitting near the roofless sand house.

Crimson sky roared so loudly that sad clouds trembled in reflex action and unexpected rain started.  She bent quickly over the roofless house to save it from sudden rain. And centuries passed away seeing her like that.

  • Dear Angel, the style of your writing and the way you described incidents of story is so beautiful. I really enjoyed reading it. Thanks for sharing.
  • A descriptive writing... I have a hard time doing this kind of writing but you were able to express your feelings through words. Such a wonderful story..
  • So beautifully penned!  You expressed the failings of commitments so well I can sense the sadness in the image of the woman bent on protecting the roofless house with the passage of time.  Thanks for this share.

  • Men most of the time are inconsistant, but in the end they themselves left alone.  The character in your story merely saw the beauty.  He couldn't realize the love and the wish to live together, which is the essential part in life of a couple...............to have a shelter to live together and get the fruit of their togetherness.

  • dear mishaikh !!!!!

    very true...

and it's also about the promise of fair game .... he asked her to build a sand house ...and a sand house is uncompleted without roof.....she was committed but he wasn't with passage of time..

  • There are  weman in our societies, passed their entire lives protecting their house from the hardships of life alone.
